I was thinking of making a new thread, but this will do.. i was going to start writing a bit about the network... my experiences with it, i want to do a few reviews over time as well i have been going back and watching many shows of pretty much everything, wwe, wcw, ecw, even wccw. which was totally before my time.... they also have things that were on 24/7 like the old house show events and things like that.
Clash of the champions, has recently found its way on network... i really suggest checking some of these shows out. also saturday nights main events are supposed to be up in a month or so.
I know the network hasn't officially launched in europe yet... i heard they announced a date but i have no clue when that is...
this is honestly the greatest thing ever for wrestling fans... it be nice if they could have some japan and old AAA on here.. but whatever they still have so much to offer.... they are missing a bit of ECW though... a lot of the weekly episodes (same can be said for raw and smackdown and no nitro at all) including ecw's events that would become ppv events such as early incarnations of november to remember ect not here... i don't know if wwe owns that content or not? i know back in the day RF videos handled much of ecw's home video releases which is what those shows would be... i also somehow doubt the born to be wired show will be on here anytime soon.
however i got around to watching a bit of the last year and much of CM Punk's 434 day championship run... guy played an amazing heel! pretty much was doing and saying what most long time fans thought.
i actually had a very late night on friday, my lady fell asleep early... she enjoys wwe network... but i wasn't tired so i decided to watch wrestlemania 17 again for the first time in a decade at least... very good show, outside of the first two matches and chyna.. it's almost perfect by wwe standards.... that TLC match is insane though.. holy fuck... probably never see anything like that again... what a mess.
seen foley go off the hell in a cell cage again... that's just crazy... i forget how awful that looked... and i don't care what he wrote in his book or says... the cage was meant to break on that chokeslam i don't know if it was supposed to just give way like it did.. but the twisty ties all over the ring when it gave way and the fact that both mankind and undertaker nearly fell through it when the match began makes me feel that way... i think it was supposed to give slowly.. probably for mankind to then just slide down into the ring.
i forgot how amazing the 2001 royal rumble match was... good stuff.
i also forgot how jacked up everyone was in the 80s... damn roids.
