I'm not getting more than about one segment per week. There's only so much I can do!

Not blaming you.

I don't have anyone to work with, so I have no real reason to do segments. I already submitted 2 filler matches & a few filler segment for the last few weeks. I'm all out of tricks.

If anyone wants to do a storyline, I'm 'free.'

Are we going to do the 'War' thing?

Maybe we should just put 4CW on hold until we get some new recruits.

I say we do a 'F um all' show where we just go crazy and take out anyone who's been no-showing. Toss um in a garbage can and send them back to OVW. Or job um out & then release um (www style). Maybe we have an angle where there is a serial killer lose in the 4CW locker room, and he's killing off no-showers.

That's a great way to encourage back people that either don't have time or interest (or both).

I left 4cw for 3 years after I was booked poorly and lied to. Safe to say I'd be done forever if anyone did anything like that to my character.

I think we need an over haul (again). We need to make this competitive, go back to every two weeks, rather than weekly.

Keep the storyline aspect, but have the match results unknown and based on the storyline.

Get rid of matches, and have them as results only (seriously, who reads them?)

Push the segs.

Lose most of the filler. Everyone has a max of 2 characters that fight (tag teams can count as one character).

Let's get back to actually telling stories. To being interesting. To there being a point in reading someone else's storyline. To reviewing the show.

To having a bit of pride.

But that's just me.

I wish we could lose the filler, that would be much less work for me, but what else am I supposed to post? The only person who hasn't missed at least one show (I think) is the Freight Train.

Going back to fortnightly shows works for me, I wasn't a fan of going weekly to start with. Matches in recap format is basically where we're going anyway, if you want to cut them down more then go for it.

As for leaving winners blank, that has caused a lot of problems in the past. I'm not going to judge who wrote the better segments or anything like that, if you want me to make the final calls I'd do it purely to fit the storyline. For the most part you'll probably want to choose your own winners anyway, then just leave the PPV calls open.

The only other way for it to work is if I write the storyline and tell you what you'll be doing for each show. That's not really what this game is about, but could be done.

I wouldn't want you to write the storylines anyway, I have several plans for my character.  Fortnightly shows would be a lot easier and would also mean that we could take more time on our segs, develop them more and make them less rushed.

Personally, having the winner chosen based on someone else's judgement of your seg could make a feud very one sided and could actually hurt the story telling process. Ot would also add to chux's workload.  Having the ppv winner undecided could be cool, but I personally wouldn't know how that would work anyway...

Clearing out some of the clutter may be a good thing but also, youay want to hang fire for a bit as some of those chars could still be used for segs and scenarios where a full roster is needed.  It's also usefull to have a filler roster for newbies (such as myself) to practice with a little.

The main thing though it to find out what is going on with the supposedly active players, and then decide whether to kill off those characters or not imo...

I think going back to fortnightly's for the best.  I thought weekly would work if we were just doing match "highlights and descriptions" and segs.  But it did turn out to be quite demanding!!  So I'm willing to admit that weekly was a bad call, and I'm to blame for helping to push it.

I like chux's filler stock characters, and there is still an element of the unknown to the stories.  I don't know what's going on in the stories that don't involve me!  And I'm fine with knowing what goes on in my stories.  To me, the fun comes from coming up with a story and telling it to people.  I love writing the segs that Rhys and I come up with, then sharing them with you all on the shows!!

I don't know how we can bring competition back without going to the RP days, which is something I'm not keen on.  RPing was very demanding, and felt a bit irrelevent to me.

I think less shows would be better for everyone... the core group of guys who usually post here are getting older and some even have kids now... life just doesn't have enough hours in a day to get things done... going two shows a month with less writing done on matches and more involved promo work seems like a good call... i know i can write promos for myself.

Burying and killing off guys because life is too hectic isn't the way to go... if i was someone who contributed but then had to go away for a few weeks to attend to things.. and i come back and found out i was dead or ruined... i'd be done all together... so that idea is probably not the good way to go.

i wouldn't be against chux offering storyline ideas to people who can't find anything to do though... i just would hate to see him having to do that to often.

I was kidding about killing off characters, btw.

I'm not sure what we ca do to 'fix' things, but I'd be against going to any kind of judging to determine the winners of matches and feuds. If that's what you guys want, then do so, but I'd have to bow out, I just don't have time for an RP fed. Angle feds allow you to work on the storyline rather than comparing and battling in RPs all week long for possibly losing in a subjective rp-judging format.

As I said, if anyone needs to work with someone, my guys are free.

Not saying we go to rps,  just open the ends a little more so there is a little more variance.

Going to shows every 2 weeks would encourage me to return and take part, and review the show.

Fewer characters will give less of a cluster fuck feel to the show as well, plus, I rarely read the filler stuff, so cutting most of it out will just leave the main stuff, and everything will be valid.

Keep some filler, but just have less.  The women can go. Plus, we need to stop using former 4cw 'stars' who arnt actually here. I've hated all the Gemini stuff simply because strung isn't here.

Do less, but do it better.  If the shows are much shorter to start with, then fine. Let's not pad it for the sake of it, because it isn't getting read anyway! Work smarter not harder!

I can do as much or as little judging as you want, I can do it for some feuds and not others if that's how you want to play it. That really isn't a problem. When you send your timelines in, just make it clear what finishes you've planned for and which ones you want me to fill in for you. You'll have to write matches with alternative finishes though, which shouldn't need to be more than a line or two since we're doing the recap format.

Inactive characters will be phased out. Either dropped immediately or dragged out to the end of a feud if they're in one, then quietly dropped. That's an ongoing rule, there's really no point hanging on to anyone who isn't here.

The old timers appearances were mostly for the Revival build, I figured there should be some historic aspect to our tenth anniversary. High Society are the only guys sticking around, and that's to put some other characters over. They won't be around forever. When we're heading into War, with a ten-man main event, we just don't have enough names to fill out an entire PPV card. We need some extras.

Other filler is just other filler. I want to play too but I follow the Hilds philosophy of booking, I don't want to be an active participant because while it's very easy to be impartial it's pretty hard to be trusted. I would be doing this stuff for the GM Game instead, but since there's a little interest in 4CW I'll do it here. These are characters who have been and will be used in matches like war, the 13 ghosts gauntlet and others, it's better that they have some presence on the shows. Whether or not you choose to read it is up to you.

As for not needing the women, I'm not sure our champion would agree. We used that belt to set up a great moment with the Midnight Court winning three titles at Revival, if that was done eight years ago I'm sure it would have been one of our favourite memories. Yeah there's a fair amount of filler going on in the division but to say it's not worth a segment is shitting on one of our main contributors.

Speaking of which, there's only filler in the tag division too. Our champions have been on the sidelines for months because no one else is doing anything with tag teams. That's a travesty. The only solution is for me to build up some filler teams for the Skill Set to work with, but then that becomes another pointless feud. Again, I'd love to not have to do it. If anyone wants to handle a tag team they're basically guaranteed a title program.

The main problem we have is players dropping out with no notice. TrueMike has been burned over and over. I know Wolfie isn't the most reliable, but I figured between him and Jaco we were guaranteed some stability. Nope. So when they went I threw the NME in there too. So much for that. Being busy for a week (or fortnight) is totally understandable, but making a commitment and then disappearing really sucks for the guy you're working with. Whatever the problem there is, we need to work it out.

Im always pro 4cw and will agree to pretty much anything to keep it open so long as the demand is here. Shorter and less shows is fine with me if that is what people want but its pointless saying it if you don't stick to it (not a dig at anyone in particular just a general statement).

So, it's been awhile. I'm guessing that 4CW has shutdown?
