I dont think hes retired.  Someone just acted like he was and he went along with it. Seems to me like hes just enjoying his life but Id be surprised if we never see him in a WWE ring again.  Hell id be surprised if we dont see him in a WWE ring by WrestleMania 31.

I reckon he's done. He makes it clear that he just wants privacy and to get on with his life without people swarming him where ever he goes. Returning would bring that right back. He seems happy, so I reckon he really is done.

Interestingly though, WWE still list him on their roster.

Because he isn't done.  This is a sabbatical,  an extended break, whatever you want to call it but hes not retired. He loves the business. Hes not going to retire because he had a little barney with his boss about his booking.

I say it's interesting because they took time to remove clips of him from videos and all that. Why do that and then leave him on the roster listings? Seems like someone did half a job.

I'd be very surprised if we see him return. Very surprised.

They've mentioned him several times on tv in recent weeks. Why would they do that if he really is done?

That's only because the fans have been chanting for him non stop. They ignored it for ages, probably hoping that it's stop. They've mentioned him recently in certain segments where Steph, Triple H or Heyman say how he just quit. They made it very obvious though that they don't want to acknowledge him and when they do they barely mention his name. I don't think Heyman has even said his name once since he quit.

Obviously there's no way to know for sure until Punk comes out and tells us clearly. I just can't see him walking away from the business for good.

I'm sure he will be back eventually... although he might have pissed H off enough... i heard he was supposed to face him at wrestlemania 30 and he quit... H will probably feel disrespected that he was considered an unworthy opponent or something..

From the videos i have seen during his wonderful world title run he took quite a beating... some of those bumps looked quite painful... i'm sure like it has been said that his body hurts and he needs the time off... guy is straight edge so it's not like he takes any pain pills prescribed or over the counter for his aches or surgeries... he probably is still hurting at night... especially when the mighty kings of LA put the dagger in the blackhawks heart in game seven last sunday.

Nah but he literally said he's enjoying retirement.  You're basing your assumptions on opinions about someone you don't know personally, I'm saying there's more evidence towards  him retiring than him coming back. I doubt he's gone for good but I'm pretty sure he'll never come back full time, and I doubt WWE think he's worth a Lesnar type deal. Plus you sound way too confident about him coming back, I thought maybe you were ITK.
