Love that they've made the decision to make the Mannia main event a triple threat, with either Triple H or Bryan pulling double duty - I imagine their match will be first. If Triple H wins (not going to happen) then it'd be 3 former members of Evolution against each other. Bryan will win though and I'd be surprised if he doesn't walk out of Mannia as Champion.
I don't think you missed anything when it over ran. Only spoilers and your thoughts, but sounds like it ended a few seconds after your recording.
I look forward to reading these B. I've been catching a couple of RAWs in the lead up to WMXXX and these help me decide whether to watch parts or just delete. Keep it up matey
Well I haven't done one of these for a little while but I thought its Wrestlemania season and Wrestlemania always has come backs... so here goes... And I know some people don't like my reviews and most don't read them... but for old time sake, here is my Raw Thoughts, and the usual disclaimer applies, this isn't a strict review of the show, just my thoughts I type up whilst I am watching the show...
So the show begins with highlights of last week's Yes Movement, and if the reports had been true through the week, it really is believable that a lot of what Steph said and what happened was a middle finger to CM Punk in a "See what you could have had, this could have been you" type of thing... or maybe the reports are false and the WWE is actually just listening to what the Universe wants, for once...
HOUR ONE
Trips is already in the ring as Raw begins and does the usual, I'm gonna beat up D-Bry at mania etc then Batista interrupts and gets a typical reception... Uninterested... then he talks about how dare Trips allow D-Bry opportunity at a Main Event at WM, then comes Randy Orton, and its hard to work out who the crowd are less interested in, the champion or the number 1 contender... The only time the crowd came alive was when Trips mentioned D-Bry and they chanted YES.. The segment actually ended pretty well, with Randy saying some truths about no-one caring about Batista, then Dave talking about no-one believing Randy as Champion.. then Triple H with some home truths to them both and saying Vince was right and you can only trust yourself and now if Triple H beats D-Bry at WM then he will enter the Main Event, guaranteeing the Main event at WM being a Triple Threat, but will it be D-Bry or Trips in it?? If its Triple H, how will that work with 3 heels going for the title... Although I can kind of see Triple H giving himself the title at Wrestlemania, hell, Vince gave himself the title, so why can't Trips do it...
The new Tag Team champions are out next facing The Real Americans and it seems like the people want to be able to chant "We The People" and have to believe is Cesaro turned face with Zeb, then they would be big fan favourites... It was a good match that The Real Americans won and in good fashion with some good team work, good end to match as well.
Hornswoggle handing out St Paddys stuff then outcome Bad News Barrett, ... It was a good I never have listened to his Bad News stuff before, I always just fast forward, and all he said was Bad News was that people will be drunk and vomit... I mean, really... Is that what Barrett has become, a brief 30 second interlude for Raw?
Sheamus is out next for a St Patricks Day showdown with Titus O'Neil... Any excuse to give the Irish Guy some props.. I wonder if Wade Barrett will have a St Georges Day showdown next month or does the Racial stereotyping only extend to the Irish? Sheamus wins the match predictably.. Then some after match attack by Christian leaves Sheamus in a heap and Christian walking away.
HOUR TWO
Advert for Raw with Arnie doing the YES chant, I like it haha....
John Cena is out now to yes, you guessed it... Talk... And it feels like the EXACT same speech as always.. I have been here 12 years... Some like me, some don't like me, I always give my best blah blah blah... Get some new material... Talks about Bray Wyatt, try building up his WM match and for once i wonder if Cena will have the opening match at Wrestlemania... be a different spot for him.. I go off topic though.. I guess that's what happens when Cena is talking.. Bray comes on the screen, nice little dig about Cena going home to a Plastic Girlfriend ha, I did like Brays part of this segment though, I always enjoy listening to his Promo's
Randy Orton is out next and he is taking on D-Bry in a NO DQ match, I was expecting this to be the Main Event, but I guess they have something else planned to end the show.. Batista was shown leaving the building earlier, so I guess he will be back later... The match had been OK, I have seen better, and it went along the lines of Randy being better guy and beating on D-Bry for a bit, with D-Bry being the underdog... then surprise surprise, Batista returned and speared Randy, then D-Bry took advantage and drop kicked Batista out of the ring and got the win. and then Batista Batista Bombed Randy Orton.
Paul Heyman is now out and does his usual talk and keeps attention on the Heyman vs Taker match without either of the parties being at Raw... and because its Heyman, it is a viable and believable way of keeping attention on that match without them being there
Trips and Steph backstage as Steph is asking Trips if he is just going to talk to D-Bry tonight and Trips says that he is just going to talk to him like a man.. First time we see some possible Dissention between Steph and Trips, with Triple H pride possibly getting in the way of his "Business"
Summer Rae is out next and unfortunately, her valet is with her... Fast Forward time.. Goldust defeated Fandango.. Goldust looked legitimately pissed about something after the match.
HOUR THREE
Corporate Kane comes out next and talks about how the Occupy Raw stunt last week violated safety codes etc and he has conducted an investigation and he has included D-Bry must have had helped to pull the stunt off and because he is from Memphis, D-Brys co-conspirator must be... JERRY LAWLER... Kane calls out The shield who, escort Jerry into the ring. Jerry is denying he had helped D-Bry and Kane starts taking his jacket and tie off etc... The Shield surround Jerry and Seth says he has a feeling D-Bry won't save Jerry because The Shield always does whats best for business then they all turn and face Kane, protecting Jerry Lawler who escapes the ring. Kane tries to fight them off but The Shield have the numbers and Triple Powerbomb Corporate Kane... Could see it coming, but it was good to see, although the crowd were surprisingly not totally behind The Shield which was surprising..
Funkadactyles out next with The Bellas at ringside and they are facing AJ and Tamina... it seems like it is the same matches every single week... Fast Forward... Naomi wins and it looks like AJ and Tamina divide, perhaps...
Mr T gets announced into the Hall of Fame and is probably one of the true Celebrities that deserves to be in the Hall of Fame for what he brought to the first Wrestlemania etc...
8 Man Tag featuring all those i guess that will be in the Pre Show Battle royal on WM... Ryback, Axel, ADR, Sandow vs Henry, Big E, Ziggler, Big Show... not really interested in this, fast forward.. Everyone gets their little bit of offence until Big Show knocks out Sandow for the win.
Kofi Kingston is now facing Bray Wyatt, i guess this will be a quick match with a win for Bray, which is exactly what happens, Bray looks dominant..
3 Hours is up... now its the OVER RUN
Triple H comes out and calls out D-Bry so he can talk to him face to face, man to man.. Trips talks about everything he has done to D-Bry since Summerslam, he still believe was best for business and none of it has been personal. Triple H goes a little Matrix saying how everything that happened had led to this moment and it feels like this moment was supposed to happen etc.. Triple H says they will do what they do best at WM, but he must put an end to the YES movement at Wrestlemania and put an end to D-Bry. He offers D-Bry his hand and says no hard feelings for whatever happens. D-Bry says NO he isnt going to shake his hand and then Triple H almost shows some respect and says that D-Bry is still standing after everything Triple H has dumped onto him since Summerslam. A dig at CM Punk then saying anybody else would have took there ball and gone home, but not D-Bry.. this wasn't un noticed by the crowd who start a Punk chant..
Steph then comes out and says she is pressing charges against D-Bry for putting everyone in danger last week for the occupy Raw thing last week.. Triple H acts surprised about this and argues with Steph as he said he respected Daniel, and this seems to infuriate Steph as both Trips and Steph argue outside, the police surround D-Bry in the ring. 6 Officers use excessive force in restraining D-Bry who never resisted, Trips comes in acting the good guy, and says they aint real cops and then attacks the handcuffed Daniel Bryan, in an obvious set up which you kind of sensed coming, Triple H takes apart D-Bry, ending the show with a beaten D-Bry handcuffed and beat up, tossed around ringside
My recording ended after a Pedigree in the middle of the ring, and Trips got on the mic.... They over run the show by 19 minutes
