Spurs were all over us yesterday, a wonder goal from Rosicky made the difference. Sherwood is a fucking clown, he really need to behave himself. What is it with these cockney dickhead managers?
Spurs should've won last night they had like 17 shots but only 2 on target or something like that.

I really hope Liverpool win the League. Seems like they've been the most consistent this season and it would be a great achievement for the club and Rodgers.

The most consistent team this season has been Chelsea I think. Liverpool have the exact same record as Arsenal, something like 14-5-5. I think Liverpool had an average first half and a great second half of the season, whilst for Arsenal it has been the other way around. But Chelsea have just been doing the same throughout the year pretty much.

I keep track of the head-to-head progress of City against their main rivals, based on the fixtures that both have played. Usually just United, but since they flopped this year I've done it with Chelsea and Arsenal as well. From the records as they stand right now, City are five points ahead of United from 20 fixtures played, four points ahead of Chelsea with 23 fixtures played, and three behind Arsenal with 21 played. It also shows what City need to do to keep up with the others, and what the others need to do to keep up with City. I won't go into details there, but the targets Chelsea have set up for us are very slightly harder than Arsenal's, while United's are a joke.
Basically, consistency is quite even across the board right now. City have the slight edge when it comes to setting the pace for the others, but it's too close to feel comfortable with.
And just for fun, there's this:

What a slip up from Lovren. I missed the first half and was surprised to see Southampton 2-1 up, then they mentioned that Clyne made a mistake to give Spurs the goal. Now Lovren gives away a ball that he could have easily cleared and Spurs are level within the first minute. They threw away a huge lead.

Oh go we nearly lost to Swansea today if it wasn't for the Ref fucking it up for them ad blowing in the middle of their counter attack. I'd be super pissed off if it was the other way around.

Yeah it sucks. Shouldn't have blown but I'll take a point at Arsenal any day.

What did you think of Arsenal's performance?
I think we should of won, but both teams looked like they're struggling. This Swansea team looks like the worst it's been since promotion.

The team is far from the worst. In our first season we had the likes of Lita, Graham, Sinclair. The replacements in Hernandez, Bony and Michu are definitely a major improvement. Graham is shit now, Lita is old and Sinclair just fizzled into nothing.
Consider we've had Michu injured for three months before last week. Hernandez, Bony, Shelvey and Dyer have also been missing for parts of the season. Add Europa League to that and its understandable wed struggle.
We're in bad form but our team is as strong as its ever been since we got into the PL. Im confident we'll survive and next season we don't have Europe to worry about so it'll give us an opportunity to focus on the League and get back into that high mid table spot we've grown accustomed to.
As for the game, thought both teams looked like deserving something out of the game at different points so a draw seems fair. I won't complain regardless and it's a confidence boost getting a point at Arsenal.

I've definitely noticed Michu's absence. He did so much for Swansea last year, they've needed him. Bony can only do so much.
Great win for City tonight. United were a shambles, as usual, and were practically zero threat. City's defence was excellent for a change. Silva, Nasri and Navas gave their back line hell, they really can't deal with pace for some reason. Three well deserved goals, it could have been more.

What do you think of City vs Arsenal chux? I think either team could've won it, I was scared of City but they aren't all that and we're good at home.

We should have won it. Same as United on Tuesday, we were strong early and had a decent finish but gave away possession in the middle section of each half. You're right, either side could have won, but I feel we had more to offer. Dzeko wasn't especially good up front, we should have switched to Negredo for the whole second half. Arsenal played well, much better in defence than they have been recently, but I can't see any room for improvement until everyone comes back from injury. Without Ozil, Ramsay, Wilshere and others, I wouldn't be too surprised to see Everton steal the points next week.
It's a draw both sides should be happy with though. We still have two games in hand so we're in a good position and if Arsenal can hold City to a draw there's really no excuse for them not to at least do the same with everyone else.

Great win for the Swans. Needed it. Feel a lot more comfortable now.

I really can't believe Liverpool are top. I remember me and Hilds both wrote them off at the beginning of the season as not troubling the top 4 and they've blown us both out of the water.

They've been great. Suarez is in the form of his life as is Sturridge. They could lead Liverpool to years of success if they keep it up.

Arsenal are really fading. Can see why all the pundits were saying at the beginning of the season that they wouldn't win the Prem. Although I didn't expect them to, I thought they'd end in the top 3 along with City and Chelsea.
Losing to Everton today leaves them just one point above Everton, who have a game in hand. Arsenal could go from being top of the table to not even getting a Champions League place.
Saw an interesting stat yesterday as well, after Newcastle had their ass handed to them by Man United. Man Utd have the best away record in the league. Might be their worst season in a very, very long time, but away from Old Trafford they're still as dangerous as ever.
Lol Arsenal. No idea how they've fallen so far, so quickly. They had depth issues so I never really believed they'd win the league, but a top three finish looked like a certainty. Everton have looked great, but still! Very surprising result.
Imagine, even five years ago, that City, Liverpool and Everton would be so close to the top. For years United, Arsenal and Chelsea dominated, and now...

No one could ever expect City and Chelsea dominating that was cos of the financial doping. Everton and Liverpool show how to progress without oil money. And Everton are 5th they aren't dominating fuck all.
Arsenal are shit but we'll still finish 4th, I'm pretty much fully Wenger out at this point. How we make the same mistakes every season is silly.

Mourinho and Undertaker lose their unbeaten streaks in the same month.

Man City and Chelsea are fucking handing the title to Liverpool. They could at least put up some fight. Unbelievable. Hope Norwich can get a win against Liverpool, keep the title race interesting and keeps Sunderland that little bit further from getting out of the relegation zone.
...and breathe.
Seriously, though, that injury time penalty gave me so much relief. We were in desperate need of a win. 13th now and we can breathe again. I said if we beat Newcastle, I think we'll be OK. So now I think we've done enough to survive.

That's what the fuck I'm saying! It's like no one other than Liverpool wants this.
I've always been meaning to ask you Ben, do you think Newcaslte are underachievers? I always thought yu were a huge club in England should really be up there, you guys should be on the same level of Liverpool/Everton and a few seasons ago you showed that promise only to drop down.

We're massive underachievers. We let Keegan go and went downhill a bit, then we brought in the great Sir Bobby Robson. Did very well. Sacked him and we've been on a massive underachieving streak since, apart from 2 years ago where we almost got a Champions League spot. Most frustrating thing is that we're not poor at all, we have a fair bit of money. Really didn't help that we appointed that retard Kinnear who signed no one but brought in 2 loan players, one of which has no interest in signing permanently.
We could and should be doing so much better than we are. Got the support, the finances, the infrastructure. We have everything to be a top club, apart from lacking ambition from the man in charge. Can't blame him too much, he's a business man and doesn't want to be losing money. Fair enough. But he has to some some ambition. Hopefully we can sign a few much needed players in the Summer.
Holding on to Remy is crucial. And De Jong had been very disappointing. Its crazy really cos Newcastle are financially sound. But they need to do a major squad build including a decent replacement for Cabaye in the summer or they could be bottom half of the table next season when they should be fighting for Europe.
Swansea need to majorly focus on defence in the summer. We need at least two solid defenders. Angel Rangel is a club favourite and not bad for his age but we definitely need another solid right back. Tiendalli is shit and Ashley Richards isnt good enough for a full time first team role. Darnel Situ doesn't cut it either. I also think we need another centre back.
I'm not a fan of Chico, hes not bad but I'm sick of the drama surrounding him and he gets disciplined far too often. Williams is fantastic but hes hit 30 so hes in his later years. Amat is a good young defender with alot of potential but I think if Swansea want to seriously challenge for the top 8 we need a proven defender. We have the money so I think it should be a priority.
Our midfield and attack are not perfect but I'm fairly happy with them. Just need to be more aggressive in that final third.

It's getting pretty tense at the top of the table, Chelsea dropping points today should light a fire up Liverpool, City and Arsenal asses. Although City were pretty unconvincing apparently today so if Arsenal and Liverpool win today ad their game in hand over Chelsea then everyone's pretty much equal and it should come down to head to heads. The top 4 should be having matches v each other and the 5 6 and 7 teams so it's all gonna get pretty exciting the next few weeks.
