Good old Rob Feinstein has posted on his Facebook that Sting signed a legends deal today. Don't know whether to believe it or not, but it's not unlikely.

Seems it's gonna be Sting vs Taker after all.

If Sting vs Taker happens... i think Taker is for sure done at this point and Sting is like 55 years old... i think it be cool to have this match end in a no finish or double knock out.... taker keeps his win streak with no losses and Sting doesn't lose either in his one and only wwe match... i dunno Taker can't lose though.

Definitely.  There is no-one within or out of the WWE that has the status to beat the streak.  I do hope they both retire soon though.  Their matches are awesome but not a scratch on 20 years ago...

TBH I think Taker is better in ring now than he was way back when, he's less mobile but his matches are better in general.

That's more to do with who he's gone against in the past few years. Look at older Wrestlemannias, he's faced some real shit.

I'm taking nothing from Taker when I said that, it's just that he's frankly past it and although he can still put in a brilliant performance, it really is a once a year thing and that's not really fair on the fans.  Also, there's the younger generation, the C-nation if you will, who, while they get all excited about Taker when he's there, don't really know why and have little or no clue as to who he really is as a wrestler.  Put the undertaker to bed and hire Mark Calloway as a head trainer or something along those lines so he can pass on his knowledge and experience to the next generation of superstars.

The Observer is reporting that Sting has finally signed with the WWE. Supposedly its more than just a legends contract, so a match or two maybe. But I can see with the Network constantly needing new content, he's going to be a talking head on the WCW documentaries and the roundtable shows.

He'll definitely do the DVDs and whatever for the network, maybe a match or two, but there was also a rumour a month or two back saying they want to use him as a GM.

Mid Card

Given Brad Maddox' usefulness, I don't think Sting as a GM is needed. Hopefully they've scrapped that idea.

As far as matches go, I don't know who he could face. He's too big of a name to bother facing midcard heels like Del Rio and he's definitely above Daniel Bryan's level so merely being a tag team partner would be a waste. A feud with the Authority would be great but he's got nothing against them unless they bring up the 'big fish in a small pond' cliche.

Apparently Sting still hasn't signed the contract that WWE have offered him and this is causing people to believe that he won't sign it at all.
