Still on going. It'll get to the point soon where the IT manager says that it's not worth the hassle and employs someone else. So Monday morning I'm booking a meeting with the HR manager and I'm laying it all on the line. It's all sorted out on Monday or I'm handing my notice in and filing for constructive dismissal as I can't work for my manager anymore if she's going to be jeopardizing my career. So fucked off right now about it all.
So many things to do, so little time. Checking books, exam papers, computing grades, making examination papers, practicing the kids for their presentations...work is just endless. The only real vacation that I had was when Chux visited here in Philippines. It's always been like that. Teachers....overworked, underpaid, less appreciated. Our new school director doesn't even bother to ask how we are or if we are still alive, whatever.
End of the rant.
What the...??? I got one strike from one of the admins, and I'm not even doing anything other than posting -_-.
You were sent a PM explaining everything. If you want to register a complaint, do so by following the protocol.

And so the fun begins...

Thanks Taker_2004 for the banner!
So I just failed my driving test for the 3rd time. I'm depressed right now, I feel like a faliure and useless. I doubt I'm ever gonna do it again.

It took me four tries. I did three with BSM, they pushed me to take tests way too soon. After that I gave up for a while, but came back to it with a new instructor and passed it first time. Take a break if you want, but don't give up on it completely. Just do more practice, maybe do some one-hour lessons with a new driver to see where you're going wrong.

I dunno man I've done a shit load of hours, way more than needed. I'm on my second instructor already and I like him. My driving is fine in lessons is just when it comes to the test the nerves get the better of me.

I failed twice before passing it on the third time. Nerves are always there, it's upto you to control them and flip those feelings to your advantage. No point getting nervous when taking a turn out of the driving test centre or circling a roundabout but if you're nervous about your three point turns or corner reverse parking, that's probably where you have to pay extra attention. Use that nervousness to pinpoint where you go wrong/might go wrong and concentrate on making that right.
Also, having coffee about an hour before you drive might be a good idea. You get the high and after an hour, the natural come-down as a side-effect. If you have a weak bladder, avoid. Last thing you want is to piss yourself during your test.
What have you failed on? Mine were all stupid things. The first, I was nowhere near ready and took a corner in third. I stalled and was given a major fault. Apparently it should have only been a minor, technically, but I didn't deserve the licence anyway. The second one I scraped the curb on a reverse park. Half an hour before the test I did the best reverse park I've ever done, to this day. It shouldn't have been a problem, it's just one of those things. It was about five minutes into the test, I knew I'd failed immediately and wanted to ask if we should just go back. The third was another screwjob, apparently I didn't check my blind spot before doing a reverse around the corner, when I actually did.
Taking the break and coming back to it with the new instructor helped a lot. I learned a lot more and now I'm kinda happy I didn't pass so early. The fourth test was nothing, I felt a lot more ready and knew what to expect. Actually that fourth test was some of the worst driving I've ever done, absolutely everything went wrong. Turning out of the test centre took an age, I couldn't find a gap in the traffic and ended up pulling out right in front of some woman, then I cut right over a mini roundabout instead of going around it, stalled on a turn at the top of a hill, waited way too long for a safe time to reverse around a corner and ended things by going into the right lane when I was supposed to turn left. It was a ridiculous omnishambles. I guess I dealt with each thing the right way though, because he passed me and when I asked "really?!" he agreed that it wasn't great but wasn't anything people don't do every day.
Like Special said, if there's something you're especially nervous about then you should take extra time to work on it. Reversing around a corner always sucks, it just does, but it's nothing you can't do. When you've passed you'll have no reason to be nervous, so just treat it like any other time you're driving. It's your car, you're owning the road. Have to park? No problem, you've done that a hundred times. Besides, you've done your hazard perception, that's the hardest part.

I always thought hazard perception was easy, I found the theory in general to be piss.
It's strange tbh, I keep getting worse at the tests. My first go I got 1 major and about 3 minors, the lady told me if I didn't get the major I would of passed. The major was not signalling or checking on a round about when switching lanes, which is fair enough. The second time I got like 8 minors and 2 majors, it was a complete disaster. This time I got 14 total faults with 3 majors, it's pretty ridiculous because I know I'm not getting any worse. I'm just a generally shit driver, I got terrible attention and focus and that's what keeps fucking with me.
Like this time I did a bay parking and I completely fucked it up, like it was terrible. Even though I just did a bay parking in the same bay like 20 minutes prior to it. It must be all psychological or something. During my lessons I'm basically Lewis Hamilton, in my tests I'm like an old lady.

Last thing you want is to piss yourself during your test.
Best advice ever. Don't piss yourself during your driving test.
What car are you using when doing your tests? Same as the one you learned in?
My mate couldn't pass his test in the car he was using, and so he switched instructors. Hated that car even more and said it made him worse. Third instructor he just seemed to click with the car and passed straight off - ended up buying the same model car afterwards as he was so comfortable driving it.
So they're making a load of redundancies in my place. Basically, 1 in 10 staff will lose their jobs.
Then they split it down to departments as well, to make it fairer, but still with the same ratio. But it isn't... as I work in a 3 person team (one of which is my manager). Me and my colleague are up for redundancy, so it's 1 in 2 staff will lose their jobs in the IT department. Fucking sucks and is absolute bullshit. We've saved the company loads this year so far and that seems to have counted for shit all, because other departments just keep on spending. The department can't be run if one of us goes, but people higher than my manager won't listen and don't care. Most other departments have between 6 and 10 people in them, so better odds for their staff. For me though, I could end up homeless whilst the highly paid managers keep their jobs that come with company cars and shit like that, because god forbid that they have to pay for their own cars on their ridiculous wages to save money for the company.
If no one hears from me, don't be surprised if I've killed myself (bit dramatic, and I wouldn't kill myself as I wouldn't put my mother through that)... but yeah, you know... fucking sucks!!! So fingers crossed everyone that I can keep my job, as I need it.
Not good benj, I hope it works out for you.
Just lost my job. And because I work in a "business critical role" (yeah, so fucking business critical that I'm being made redundant!) I was told to leave immediately. So I'm now at home wondering what the hell I'm going to do and hoping that I can find something soon to keep a roof over my head.
Not good mate. Hopefully it was a decent redundancy package
