I couldn't agree more, Mr. Mid-section. We are well past the point of over saturation with John Cena. His promos are about as predictable as a HHH promo. Yeah, we get it. The fans boo you and you don't care because of your Hustle, Loyalty, and Respect. Blah, blah, blah, fucking blah. I wish his Achilles was really blown out so we would get a break from him for about 9 months. And I guess that the booking of PPV World title main event matches is a negotiation now. You want an Ambulance match? I see that and raise you a tables match and a some other bullshit match that no one wants to see. Ryback and Cena just don't have what Cena and Batista have. I don't care to see it and a 3 Stages of Hell match doesn't raise my interest level at all.
I too was glad to see the seeds planted for a Big E face turn. He was over huge as a face in NXT and if they give him the spotlight, he could be a star. Now if only they could wrangle in his weird eye.
Hell No vs. Shield - highlight of the show. How can you not just love The Shield? Plus you got to see the evolution of D-Bryan's character. Now it's Kane who is the weak link. They were fun together for a while and now it's getting to the point where they need to shit or get off the pot with Hell No. Their re-match is now gone and there is no reason to stay together, especially since both Kane and Bryan are best utilized as singles.
Miz as a face is lame. They can try as much as they want but the fans love to hate Miz. He just has that face you want to punch. Fandango is a limited time gimmick. Johnny Curtis will be here before you know it. Vince may love the dancer deal but after the music thing wears off, which it has, they will have to repackage him.
Remember when The Great Khali was the World Heavyweight Champion? He beat Batista, Kane, Mysterio and HBK. Really, that happened.
Highlight Reel - Gold. Punk will come back and question why Heyman is booking him in matches and Brock will attack him leading to Punk vs. Brock at SummerSlam. One can dream.....
I'm just not sold on Curtis Axel. They are taking the sink or swim approach with him. HHH and Cena as the first two opponents and he didn't look special against either. They should have had him come in at the lower end of the main event scene and then build up to the big matches.
Bray Wyatt is fucking awesome. If they don't capitalize on his awesomeness, they suck. NXT is so much better booked that Raw or Smackdown it's crazy.

I don't mind that they changed the title match. An Ambulance match is just pure boring, and it's like going "I can suggest a better match than you". Shame that we'll still get the Ambulance match though, as the Tables match is clearly an easy way for Ryback to get a cheap win so that Cena can win 2-1.
Good to hear that Punk is coming back as well. Gives me something to look forward to on the Payback PPV.
Haha, I will keep em coming, Am sure most of what I write is nonsense, but as I said its just my thoughts as i'm watching it rather than a review of the show etc, but also mainly because it gives me a reason to watch Raw, because when I just sit and watch I end up finishing the whole show in like 30 or 40 minutes haha So at least this way, I have to watch the whole show (or well most of it at least)...
The best part of your review is that I don't have to watch the show myself! Not watched in years, and probably wont ever watch regularly again (unless there is a massive seed change is content). At least reading your review means I have an idea of what is going on. Now if Heyman was to start his own fed...
Well here we go again, My general thoughts I will type up as I'm watching Raw.. Not really a Review of the show just what I generally think as we go along...
Well Raw starts off with the Memorial Day video but they couldn't resist going to a damn stupid Replay with a tension filled voice over... Even with the editing, I still disliked Ryback...
Don't ya just hate it when Cena comes out full of smiles, reacting as if he is receiving a huge ovation and everyone is loving him, pointing at the camera etc... Just want to slap that smile off his face... Then he goes and does the whole "You boo me, but come on, I love it" as if its a good thing by pointing the mic to the crowd...He tries to address the controversial ending to Extreme Rules, but fails to correctly identify what the controversy was, its not that both men failed to answer the 10 count, its that the match just ended without an ending....
This kinda goes into the WTF thread on here, about Vince's star man, cant even hold the attention of an audience without them chanting for Bret etc, and in my opinion that's because he treats the audience like they are so dumb and not only do we get Replays throughout RAW, Cena comes out and gives us a verbal replay... And now they realised how crap the Ambulance match idea was, so last weeks RAW never happened and the destruction of Zack Ryder was pointless because now its a 3 stages of hell match...
I guess this makes Kane, Rybacks favourite Demon, if Ryback is Satan.. hmmmm 😕 At least Paul Heyman can save the opening half hour of the show...
I was a little surprised by the outcome to the ADR vs Big E match, but I am glad that ADR won the match or they could have just ruined both contenders for the World Heavyweight Championship... This looks like a start to a turn for Big E, which could be good as they are missing a monster face since Ryback turned and I can already imagine the crowds chanting for his 5 time like they do in NXT...
HAHA loved the Team Hello No and Bret segment, nice bit of comedy to break up RAW haha and great to see Bret as well...
Anything involving Dean Ambrose or the Shield is going to be Gold, and this didn't disappoint and Im glad they let Dean Ambrose win the match without any assist from the rest of The Shield leading straight into the tag team match and The Shield have this worked out perfectly, with Rollins being the smaller guy who takes the brunt of the work in the ring as all the classic Tag teams have from the past, whether it be Road Dogg from NAO or Hawk from LOD etc, then having the classic bigger man coming in, and seeing this from both Team Hell No and The Shield was a good take back to Tag Teams of old and is a great example of what a Tag Team match can be like. This match almost made me wish it wasn't a Tag team match and was just D-Bry vs Seth Rollins... Nice to see The Shield once again win without outside interference, to prove they can do it and don't always need the numbers game.
I used to be one of Miz's biggest fans, when he had the MITB with A-Ri and even when he became the WWE Champion with Alex Riley in his corner, I absolutely loved The Miz, but he is being wasted as a face, and stuck around the mid card, he needs to be Heel again as he proved he can do it at the top of the game.... Apart from Miz, Im not interested in this match now though as I cant stand Fandango, his cross between Val Venus and Ric Martel with a bit of Disco Inferno in there just doesn't appeal to me, and it bores me a lot... Fast Forward Time... I stopped it for Summer Rae pinning Fandango haha.. bring back the Hardcore title with the 24/7 rule haha..
So up next is 3MB who have become the Jobbers of WWE, and Gret Kalhi who I don't think has ever looked credible neer mind anyone caring about what he does...
Highlight Reel with Paul Heyman, this is going to easily be the best bit of Raw with 2 guys who can actually talk on the mic... Not sure about saying Punk is a Heyman Client, as Paul has always said he wasn't a client, he was just a friend etc... Great to see Jericho move away from Fandango and into something that is actually interesting and worthy of him... Great to see Heyman trying to avoid talking about Punk, and cant help but feel they are building towards Heyman and Punk splitting up and Heyman turning on Punk, or Punk turning on Heyman atleast.. Or maybe im just living in hope to see Punk and Heyman going against each other on the mic... Nice to see Jericho not cheap shot Heyman afterwards.. as Chux would say.. there was no babyface dickery going on here...
The Wyatt Family are coming to Raw... I cant wait for this.. Ie loved watching them in NXT and cant wait for Bray Wyatt to be on RAW.. Couldn't help but think of Daniel Bryan with the Goat mask though haha
Still couldn't have a show with Orton and Shaemus on the show... such a shame, was soo close... shame that they have to have Sandow lose soo soon after looking good on Smackdown
The main event actually wasn't too bad... They at least made Curtis Axel look a lot stronger against Cena than he was allowed to look against HHH, where as last week, Axel looked weak this weak he looked a genuine challenger and proed he can be in the ring with the champion etc... I don't see why Cena would leave the ring to go check out the ambulance though... Whats the point, I know it is another way to give Axel a win without actually having to beat the champion etc, but it just seems so unprofessional from Super Cena who always claims professionalism above everything else...And once he opens the back doors and no one inside, surely you would put your back against the ambulance if looking for an on coming attack, not standing with back to the curtain...
Still don't care for Ryback... at all...
