4-0 to the Swans. 2 goals for Bony, 1 for Michu and 1 for Pozuelo... watch out Premier League. 😄

Malmo is very different to anyone else in the premier. Torres was scoring goals in the europa, so i wouldnt judge bony just yet...
I've seen a lot of Bony. He's fantastic. Scored 31 goals in 30 games last season.
And we played very well, I have no complaints. Very proud of the team.

I'm really looking forward to Spurs being involved in this competition this year. It's a great way to blood new players, and I hope we carry on doing that. I want to see Holtby really getting a number of games in the competition, Kyle Naughton as well, and Zeki Fryers. Want to see our first teamers as well, because its a comp I hope we can go far in, but it's been really good to give games to our youngsters as, if we get to the group stage, they will get up to 10 games.
Looking forward to this

You reckon I should put him in my fantasy team?
I don't know about this tournament because it's unfamiliar territory to an Arsenal fan. But I don't like the fact that the winner goes in the Champions League, it's like a 40 game qualifying round.

Well, he's a goalscorer. Can't be a bad thing for a Fantasy Team.

He's a goalscorer in the dutch league. He might be the next suarez, bit he might also be the next mateja kezman who also scored a goal a game in holland and then scored about 5 league goals over here.
I think bony is more kez than rez...
We'll see. 😋

Swansea with a great first half... let's see if we can beat Spurs' 5-0 victory earlier.

What a fantastic result for the Swans. Never in a million years did I think it would end 3-0. Great result.

Missed the game, just saw the result before the Spurs match. Very impressed that Swansea beat Valencia that heavily. Awesome result.
More expected, but also a good match for Spurs. It's been a pretty good week for the Premier League teams!

Swansea should have had three penalties including one when a St Gallen striker kicked Michu in the head and cut his head open, as well as several other calls that went against us. The referee was card friendly and absolutely fucking idiotic, but we still pulled out a 1-0 victory including a penalty save from our reserve keeper.
Top of the group, 6 points, one win away from the Last 32.
Seriously though, what an idiotic referee.

The refereeing standards in the Europa League is awful. Last season Newcastle had many many bad calls made in matches. Cisse got flagged as offside in one game when about 5 yards onside. Constant fouls that weren't given or yellow cards given for nothing at all. Even had a goal disallowed at one point and no one knows why. And it wasn't just the Newcastle games either, as every other Europa League game I watched last season was full of the same standard - odd calls made throughout and linesmen who don't know what they're doing.
That's exactly what it was like tonight... the linesman waited almost 5 seconds to call an offside.

Swansea had a good goal disallowed today. In a way I'm kinda happy about it - not because it was Swansea, but because Newcastle had so many bad calls against them in the Europa League that it's nice to see that it's not just Newcastle.
Not seen the Tottenham games in this tournament this year so can't comment there, but I do feel for Swansea as well as being kinda happy. The refereeing standards in this tournament really haven't improved from last season at all, they're so poor. Not long ago they were wanting to make this an important cup, one that could proudly take the place of the Champions League's understudy. Until the up the standards if the ref's that they pick though this tournament will continue to be the joke of European tournaments. Every game you seem to get at least one bad call - not just wrong call, but a bad call. Disallowed goals, off sides that are well on side, some shocking tackles going unpunished.
I know we've had a lot of these in the Premiership this season, but I'm certain if you count all the mistakes made in this tournament it'd be a lot more than in the Premiership. Such poor refereeing and poor linesmen all the time. Really frustrating to see.
Swansea got screwed but will be ok, Spurs are clearly the best team in the tournament. I know the level of competition in the Europa league group stage is a little lower than an average Premier League match, but it's quite funny that Spurs can pick up a fairly easy 3-0 win tonight but in the league have scored fewer as a team than Aguero has on his own. They play Defoe in Europe but never in league matches. Coincidence? Hmm...

Swansea just need a point to qualify. So long as we get a draw at St Gallen, we're OK. And if we do lose, as long as Valencia beat Kuban we'll still go through. Either way, we've got a pretty good chance of qualifying.
I could spend hours complaining about the disallowed goal, but it doesn't really matter. Like benjawi said, the bad calls are a regular thing in the Europa League. No point crying over spilt milk.

Didn't Spurs win 2-0? With one of them being an own goal? Sounds like the same struggle to me.

Yeah, I watched the match. Spurs were poor.

I must be thinking of their last game. Or some other one, I don't know. They were impressive anyway! Maybe not this time. Still, they're my pick to win the tournament. They may not be on top form, but they're good enough.

Spura were poor. We're just nor feeding Soldado, and when there is a chance to cross our players arnt taking it.
I think we will turn it around in the league. Not sure about winning the Europa, it depends on who drops out of the champions league (and if we turn around our form of course...)
Yeah chux, I reckon whoever comes 3rd from Arsenal's group will win the Europa league (Napoli probably) or one of the other teams.

We were unlucky. We had it all to fight for right til the end. Hopefully we can qualify for Europe again next season ready for the season after.

Swansea are playing Malmo on itv4, 1-0 (Michu) up after first half. May as well use this as a Europa League thread.
Swansea are looking sharp and refined. Can't complain. Bony is gonna make some waves this season.
