On 34 secs, in the 2nd clip, is that the house from Red Dead Redemption he blows up?  I think it's the Hannigan Stead farm house, can't remember exactly what its called. Both games are by Rock Star, so it could be.  Might be a nice tie in.

By newest version do you mean ps4 or xbox 1? i'm not even sure if they have announced GTA V for next gen or not.. i'm sure it will end up there though... i'm rolling with this gen atleast for now though.

I'm not sure it could be the farm house.. it's been a couple years since i played RDR what a great game... if it is then nice find! i hope the big foot myth comes back or other urban legends rumored in the game... i know none of that was in san andreas but it be awesome if they do that.. but make sure it's very rare to run into if they do it.

I currently have the xbox 360, so hopefully it will come out on that platform

Here is the gameplay reveal trailer... game looks very good, and it seems to have the best of both worlds the gritty style of IV and the crazy exciting over the top stuff from the earlier ps2 games also with very cool new gameplay modes or styles i think this will be the best GTA game yet and it would appear to be taking a step forward like the other games have always with the exception of IV which really did nothing new and took away other things... perhaps too early in our current gen consoles back in 07/08.

Anyone getting this game at launch? it's like two weeks away... where is the hype from the people who do like this series?

Anyways, i'm hyped i have it preordered, my bonus is a blimp, not sure if they were flyable already or if this some decked out super blimp... i hope the game is long, but not with a bunch of filler missions...also this is the first GTA game to actually have a real score... and for pop stars you get a pop radio station.

also it be kinda neat if i played this with any of you online... this version of the online mode looks like it's worth playing.

Yeah, I'm getting the 360 version. I'm guessing it'll come with a month's gold membership, so I'll see you on there!

I'm hyped as a motherfucker but there's nothing to say other than bring it on! I'm deffo getting it in the first week.

Amazon pre-order is saying they'll deliver free on the release day. Not sure if it'll work out like that, I guess we'll see.

Glad to see there is more hype then i thought here.. i indeed hope to see you on there for a few chux i'd join up with your squad/game. as far as amazon goes i haven't bought anything from them in a while but last time i did i got it on release date it just sucked because the delivery truck guys must have changed around routes so instead of getting my packages by noon i'll be lucky if they get here by 6:30 pm.

The store i ordered from is having a midnight launch... not sure if i'm going i have been to these before sometimes its simple and a 5 minute wait at most but i also went to the cod:mw3 midnight launch in the freezing cold and waiting almost 45 mins before i even got into the store and then there is another brief line inside... i'm unable to tell if this will be more hectic then the previous big launch i went to... cause if i get home so late to the point i'm too tired to be bothered with the mandatory install it has and then when that's done sit through the long opening cut scene like all rockstar games have... so i might just go in the morning...i even have it set on my phone as an alert and yes i have one of those wall things you write on and wipe off... i'm using it to countdown the days to GTA with different colour markers for each day... i just started it on the first of the month.

also if the rest of you guys want to do some of the awesome multiplayer stuff then we need to make sure we all have gamertags the ps3 crew share yours and well me and chux will spread the word on xbox 🙂

oh also a heads up they online will not be active until the first of October... they said they want people to play the normal game first ect.

Not really a spoiler, but it could be depending on who you are... it's just the map of GTA:V this time it would seem this is the real deal it looks about as big as i figured it would be... with that huge mountain and all the cool country side surroundings... man i wish i could have this game and play it now... but a little bit less then a week and it's on.

Lots of math... a few people in the comments seem to give it a shot too and it's all pretty damn close... but even if it's not this picture alone is something to think about.

I know buildings/ocean ect. but this is going to be a very huge game... the switching character feature makes a whole lot more sense now too.

Ill buy it soon for Ps3, probably after I get FIFA. The thing im looking forward to the most is really huge map.  I love the open world aspect of GTA so I really hope this map takes ages to fully explore.

That city looks tiny though. I'm guessing those blocks are bigger than they look, but I'm kinda worried that the city section isn't going to be enough. We'll see I guess.

I've been playing Just Cause lately, it's complete shit, but has some really good features given that it was released so early into the 360's life. The character models suck, the enemy AI is laughably bad - they shoot everywhere but where you are - and you can open your parachute when you ride a bike for some reason. But! The scenery looks surprisingly good, even by today's standards, and the map is absolutely immense. It takes forever to get anywhere, even in a car. I may be way off, but it feels bigger than Far Cry 3's map. Not sure what my point is here, but this is a game that came out seven years ago and now we're being told this game could be the biggest map ever. I really hope they have a fast travel feature, or at least helicopters on every rooftop.

Hmm.. I don't know but from everything i have seen so far the game does look very huge as a whole... the city may make only make a smaller portion though... Don't know if it has fast travel but i'm guessing the character switches help out a little bit with that... i'm sure they knew for a while people don't want to take 20 minutes to go back and forth on the map constantly.. Red Dead Redemption, and GTA:IV both had complaints about that... we will see though, i just know i'm really looking forward to the game as someone who has played every game since the first game way back in the day (except for the london add on game) even those crappy LS/Vice Stories games.

You should have just gone to Just Cause 2, from what i gathered when i played it you really didn't need to know the plot of the first game, they are just like random action games with little story... but the second game is massive but kinda boring.

I just wanted something sandboxy to tide me over for the week. It's short and easy, so it's good to get a few gamerpoints from and will hopefully make me appreciate GTA V that much more. I can tell just from playing GTA IV (and III, really) that the controls are just so much tighter and more intuitive with the series. Just Cause feels broken in comparison. Small things like hitting Y to enter a car and pressing LT to reverse before you're really in, in GTA it would work as you want it to, but in Just Cause he throws a grenade as he's climbing in because that's what LT would do on foot. And I like to be able to cheat a bit by walking up steep cliffs, but there's a point even I start to think it's getting stupid. You can go near-vertical. Oh, and the worst of all is that cars don't drive straight. You veer a little left or a little right, and the adjustments are slightly too big to make up for it. I end up zig-zagging everywhere.

Basically, I'm confident that whatever things we have to complain about two weeks from now, handling won't be one of them. The game looks great visually, conceptually and from what I've seen has the perfect level of old features we loved and wanted back and new ones we didn't know we wanted.

Look's like it is going to be pretty huge after all updated map put out by Rockstar.

Also here is new info released about how the GTA:Online works... even that sounds awesome and i'm not much of a multiplayer at all... so i look forward to trying this out next month when it's opened to the public.

This game's budget was $250 million dollars... that is nuts like really wow. i never could have imagined when i was 12 that video games would someday reach that scale.

Maybe this time i will kill all of the pigeons or whatever they decided to do in this game... it really sucked being stopped 1 or 2 short... this time i'm ignoring all of them and using a guide when i decide to hunt those down... it took a few weeks to accept the only way i'd find the last one in GTA:IV was to start a new game and do everything over again to get to 100% i wasn't having it.

You could have used a picture guide to hunt them down, and just checked to see if they were where they should be or not. I had to do that.

Believe me chux, i tried all i really could even video guides on youtube and so many things just made it more difficult like some of the harder ones i just wasn't sure if i did or just was unable to find the right perspective for it... it was just dumb to start shooting at them whenever i would see one.... oh well i completed everything else i'm pretty sure.

even i'm begining to hide from GTA sites now to avoid being spoiled however from what i understand is almost all of the videos are being removed rather quickly... rockstar and take two really mean it this time... no spoilers and i'm sure if they could they would send the gaming police to handle this and kick some doors in and xbox smash smash SMASH!

Good! Nice to hear that they're taking it that seriously. I hope it doesn't mean my hidden package/pigeon guides aren't available nice and early though, that's one of the first things I want to do.

I'm glad they are doing what they can to prevent spoilers all over the net...i watched a few clips like only 10 second ones that are left online (and those are probably gone too) i saw nothing that was a spoiler almost like a trailer how it was edited just a few quick shots of gameplay with the huds on the screen... and Michael hitting a bong 😋 but other then that nothing and i'm gonna keep avoiding it because i don't wanna ruin it for myself.

I think game sites like IGN will post their guides on the 17th when it comes out... i had thought about getting the book but i dunno... i'll probably just go with IGN's walkthrough for those side quests with hidden packages or whatever they go with this time because i don't think they will remove that quest from the game... it's been there since the original game. Also i don't think i'd need to buy the book for anything else the missions usually aren't so difficult to resort to a guide... it's not like Zelda... on a side note new Zelda in November for the 3DS 😄 yes!

Can't wait to talk about the game when it's actually out we just need to make sure we aren't spoiling the game for each other... perhaps we can keep track of our stats and say "i'm on mission 43 and your on 35" to avoid us ruining it for each other haha.. unless someone mean comes here and ruins the whole game... like the dark knight rises thread last year. 🙁

Oh and one more thing.. i hope finally bigfoot or ufo stuff finally makes it's way into the game but its gotta be super rare like some of the stuff in the Fallout games where you might never even encounter it but it's in the game.

There's a lot of wilderness for Bigfoot to be hiding in, I wouldn't be surprised if they did it. There's supposed to be a lot of wildlife, hunting mini games and whatever. One of the San Andreas side missions was taking photos of UFOs, right? That's about as close as we got to that one.
