Yeah players like Sinclair and Rodwell bring it upon themselves tbh. Going to City just so they can say they won a trophy and getting paid double what they were before, only for City not to win anything and ship them out. Then they can't sell the players for years cos no one will match their wages.

Ben Arfa just scored Newcastles first Prem goal of the season and it was a cracking one. Brilliant way to score the club's first of the season.
Just saw a 33/1 odd for an equaliser for Estudiantes de La Plata versus Newell's Old Boys in the 91st minute. Put a 25p bet on, they got the equaliser, and I won £8.50 - what a nice bit of luck.

If only you'd put a pound on!

Come on!!!!!
Liverpool 1 - 0 Man Utd
I guess David Moyes still cant win the big games away from home...

Great result. Liverpool are at the top now, but the real story is United going 1-1-1. Happy for the 'Pool though, enjoy it while it lasts.

Surprising result, I'll be honest, I expected Utd to win 2-1 or 3-2 but well done to the Pool for picking up a huge victory this early in the league.
Swansea got a nice win over West Brom. First points of the season and a couple goals, can't complain. Now we start the climb.

Arsenal played Spurs off the pitch today but only came out 1-0 winners, Spurs looked like they lacked creativity and that high line looks very vulnerable to that killer pass. However, even though they scored and assisted, Giroud and Walcott aren't really world class forwards. I wonder what RVP or Suarez would've done on the end of some of those balls.
The match was entertaining even for a 1-0, Spurs are gonna need a couple games for all these players to gel so this is when teams likes Arsenal and Liverpool should take advantage which they have today.

Newcastle are starting to pick up some points now so I'm happy. I know it's only 4 games in, but we spent nothing this summer and we're level on points with City who spent £100m. Oh yeah 🙂
Poor game from City. Again. Not impressed so far. We had a shambles of a back four this week, but fortunately they just about held it together. Today apparently wasn't the time to make so many changes, playing Jovetic and Negredo together instead of using Aguero or Dzeko, and with Rodwell and Milner in midfield when Navas and Fernandinho were available. Blah. I guess Pellegrini was saving some of our bigger players for Europe and then the United game, but at the cost of two points. No good.

Arsenal looked promising, Ozil looked great with his assist and laying loads of balls in for Walcott. Giroud and Ramsey were both great, Ramsey and Giroud are the form players at Arsenal right now. With Cazorla joining Arteta, Vermaelen, Podolski, Ox and Rosicky on the injury table we have a good few players waiting to come into the team so it's good to gather the points now when we're thread bare instead of in a few months when there's 3 matches in a week.

Has anyone checked the league table today? I have.

How was Ozil today? (genuine question, no trolling involved)
Edit- Oh, and I've checked the table and we go top if we win our game in hand by a couple.

Assisted 2 goals with his set pieces and the first goal if you don't count the deflection, any one who knows Arsenal knows we rarely score from set pieces if ever. Basically we wouldn't of scored if he wasn't playing.
And what game in hand? Also, what exactly is Spurs problem with scoring? Is it because they can't break down defenses so end up taking a lot of shots or genuine unlucky finishing and strikers still needing to settle? Or a combination of both? I don't watch Spurs enough to judge but it looks like they get a lot of shots but miss them.
Also, who doesn't love to see United get smacked around? Ahh I hope this season is their downfall.

My bad, stupid sky sports app hadnt updated its table. Still, 2nd and 2 goals off top. Im happy with that
Edited my post.

I've watched pretty much every league game this season, and its mainly down to waiting for players to settle. Soldado is making great runs and his movement and technique when striking the ball are outstanding, but we havent found him properly yet. Eriksen is the key and will, hopefully, be immense. He's started well anyway.
We've been unlucky with inspired goalkeeping as well. David Marshall is an average keeper, but today he played like a top 4 keeper. Next week he'll conceed far softer goals than the saves he made.
On balance of play, and quality of chances, today was a 5-1 win for spurs. Swansea was the same. Once the players find their groove it will be fine.
We need Dawson out the side as well. Far too slow and he's being caught out. He should have gone last year...
One of the only times I've actually been pissed that there's not any United fans on this forum, the closest thing we got is Rhys but he jumped ship once Swansea got into the Premier League.

Well I don't care if I don't get to mock a United fan on here, I'll just brag anyway. What a game that was. They tried to get back into it in the last half hour, but by then it was too little too late. I was expecting a big change after half time, but within two minutes we'd scored again. Boom. Amazing stuff from Kompany especially, although I can't fault anyone. Well, not on City's side. United were shocking. Gave City way, way too much space and had nothing going forward. It may have been a different story had RVP been involved, but he still wouldn't have had the support he really needs.
So a great day for City, and for North London too. Spurs were all over Cardiff but suffered like we did a few weeks back, their defence is really good. Scraped by in the end, I'm happy to see that. Arsenal have been as surprisingly good as United have been surprisingly bad so far. I was expecting very little from them, but somehow they've been able to make the most of things after getting that Villa game out of the way. Lulz to Liverpool, but overall I really like how the table is looking right now.

Anyone thinking moyles may go in the next 4-6 weeks and fergie comes back?
I think the big issues with utd is the change in style. Fergie was an offensive counter attacker who sets his teams to score goals and defend responsibily, moyles is a defensive counter attacker who sets his teams to defend first and snatch goals.
Fellaini will help them, but he doesent hace the right quality for a team like them. Like putting monster truck tyres on a rolls royce...
Ita going to be a long season!
Personally, I think Moyles will be gone by Christmas...
IT will be like Sir Matt Busby when he retired and was replaced by Wilf McGuiness and then at Christmas, McGuiness was sacked and Busby took the helm once again until the end of the season
I had predicted that this would be a similar situation with Fergie and Moyes when the announcement was first made

If moyles goes and fergie cones back, what happens with rooney? He wasnt exactly happy with fergie at the end of the season.
I think people are overreacting to Moyes. United are always slow starters and really hit the ground running in the second half of the season, hell United lost 6-1 in this same fixture with Fergie there and the first few months of last season everyone wrote United off because they were conceding left right and centre. However, they had those late goals then that saved their asses so many times, I dunno if they can do that again this time. Also, refs and other managers aren't going to bumsuck Moyes like they did Fergie so that's more points lost.
I really wanna see how Arsenal play against a big team. We've had pretty easy fixtures so far this season and it looks like it's gonna be that way until we play United away which will be a huge test, Dortmund and Liverpool at home before then but I think those are 2 matches we'll win.

I agree Sinclair isn't Man City material, but only playing him 3 times in the whole season certainly didn't help. Why spend £12m on a player you have no intention of using? It's hindered Sinclair's career. He could flourish at West Brom, but a season of rotting on the bench could be something he can't recover from.
