Belly's Raw Thoughts 19.08.13

[So here we go with my Post Summerslam Raw Thoughts...Accept no Imitations

Because it is the post Summerslam show then I will give them a pass on the replays at the start of the show, because these little replays are definitely better than the still image pictures we used to get after a PPV.  The only problem I have with the end of summerslam is that Orton pinned D-Bry after just a single Pedigree and a long wait between the pedigree and the 3 count... So they are saying 1 pedigree is stronger than a whole match with Cena??

Here comes Cena and we get a vocal crowd, and I didnt expect much different than what we got from Cena, in the content of his promo, praising D-Bry etc... Although when he said "Me and Daniel Bryan don't share much, except" I was waiting for the response to be "A Bella Twin" haha.... It's kinda reminiscent to the speech after losing to The Rock.. etc, didn't expect much different, he is keeping his face role etc...

John Cena isnt as good as Ricardo, but he will do as a ring announcer for D-Bry though... and in defeat, Daniel is loved even more and now it all becomes about the chase etc, again... This time with a more defined heel and face role though rather than a mutual love in and cheesy grins that came with a cena feud.. This is one of those segments where Daniel didn't have to say a word, he could have stayed quiet and let the crowd reply to everything Stephanie had said. But then he wouldn't have got to call Steph Trash haha.   I guess you know you have made it in the WWE when you are escorted from the arena by police or security haha

Should be a good Raw if the crowd can keep up this volume...

So we have a Summerslam rematch tonight and neither men get an entrance... Was a good match but i expected Sandow to pick up the win, and go 1-1 but it wasn't to be and Cody is now 2-0 so surely this should advance Cody further up in the standings away from Sandow now...  I guess Sandow has to go on a 6 month losing streak now he is Mr MITB just as Ziggler had done.

Maddox is on the screen and his tie is wonky I guess his mother wasn't around to dress him tonight

Paul Heyman in the ring and am glad that this lil feud with Punk isnt over, as the thing with Heyman is, even though you know he is saying things to try get a heel reaction etc... you kinda have to agree with what he says and he always sounds like he is being sincere even when you know he isnt.  If Punk ever did do the U turn and go back to Heyman, you know it would turn him instantly into a big heel once again, and as Heyman was saying that he will take him to the heights of main eventing wrestlemania... I couldnt help but think about a heel Punk with Heyman vs D-Bry in the main event... would be awesome.

AJ and Layla vs the Funkadactals is next, now in reality, AJ and Layla would win this but I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that Total Divas will get the win here seen as though this is all the WWE cares about Diva wise at the moment.... Bring on Paige, she cant hit the main roster quick enough... AJ vs Paige will be a great feud if done right and produce some great matches... Anyways, back to the match, almost forgot it was still going on... Predictable win as Layla is pinned, at least it wasn't AJ being pinned...

Ziggler vs The Shield is on next in a 3 on 1 match... I can't see this going to the end, either Big E will interfere or Henry will come down or perhaps RVD I guess we will soon see... Maybe Ziggler will win and the burying of The Shield will begin now Wyatt family are the flavour of the month.  The match does go the distance and The Shield wins, I guess this is about Ziggler and not The Shield... Not sure what this match has done except bury ziggler a little.. maybe they are going to go down the route of Ziggler vs Maddox maybe... otherwise it was kind of a pointless burial.

Here comes the most charasmatic World HEavyweight Champion in history... oh... I was lying, its just ADR.... and he is facing Sin Cara, well this i a throw away match, not like we have never seen this match before... Finally no dimmed lighting though.  The referee pushing around ADR was funny though, was hoping he was gonna lay out the champion hahaha.

Here comes Ricardo and I guess we are having a ring announcer vs champion feud haha, let's hope the ring announcer wins.. what's next, Lilian Garcia vs Randy Orton??  Anyways, it looks like Ricardo is representing RVD now, Pot friends 4 life... ADR has no Dope... I mean no hope...

Here are the Real Americans, and have they actually won a match since forming as a team? Since getting busted, Swagger is definitely getting punished, you wouldn't think he was going to win the World title at Wrestlemania only a couple months ago when you look at his recent record. They are getting over with the crowd though, and thats got to be thanks to Zeb, but I have a feeling PTP players will win this and continue the burial of the Real Americans (well, half Real Americans)... PTP wins and just wish AW would be hired back.. Millions of Dollars!!!!

Big Show is back and breathing in and has a bit of colour on his spandex, confirms he and Henry teaming up and now Maddox comes in... acting as Triple H's bitch again... another handicap match vs The Shield, and it looks like The Shield are becomming the McMahons bitches as well.... Maybe we are getting a Corporation type of deal... The Shield seemed to have ditched their injustice routine and become bitches, either that or they may take a APA role and be hired guns to highest bidders...

Shameless product promotion from footlocker.... Summer Rae and her male valet show up... what is needed is more Summer Rae and less of her valet...

Another pointless ryback backstage segment... Jeans and a leather sleeveless vest... first he was Goldberg now he is dressing like Stone Cold... Still acting like a Jack Ass who can only pick on little people though, still loses the big matches.... They have killed any credibility he has in the ring, so now they have to make him look a dick backstage as well...

Big Show is doing better tonight on his own than he did with Sheamus and Orton as partners at Wrestlemania... The result was the same though and the triple powerbomb was impressive... Expected Henry to come out and make a save though after Big Show announced that they were teaming up... Ah Well...

CM Punk is in the ring, nice argument with the crowd haha, like that he isnt going total face and keeping a more of a tweener role, the same as Austin used to, can challenge the crowd to fight and the crowd love it... I was kinda hoping the Punk apologised to Heyman and kinda set up Heyman for a turn down the line... But i know we wouldnt get it, but I do love the idea of Ounk and Heyman facing each other with a mic in their hands. Even admist the shouting at Heyman, he refers back to the fat guy in the crowd and gets an even louder cheer.  I like how Heyman refers to Axel as if he is a legitimate threat to Punk, not sure anyone is buying it though, but if you had never seen WWE before and just tuned in and heard what Heyman was saying, you would genuinly believe that Axel was a dangerous man.

Back from the break and Punk is sitting in the ring, and here comes Axel and even though JBL is pushing that Punk isnt 100%, Punk still got the better of Axel.. fans shouting to use the bell, so Punk obliges, even if it was just to the stomach. Back and forth, Axel comes back but Heyman still takes out Axel in the end, and an injured Punk is still better than a healthy Axel.. Heyman gonna have to come back with something else, interesting to see where this goes...

R Truth is out next and no matter who he is facing, you know R Truth will get beat haha.... oh its Bray Wyatt, well its a bit obvious in who will win this... R Truth.. haha, onlu joking lol... an obvious result...

Los Matador coming soon... I guess we just need some Los Texas Tornados and we can role the clock back 20 years...

Usos vs 3MB now, so I am guessing Usos wil win this, they may have rewarded McIntyre for helping out ADR in the bar brawl, but he isnt wrestling, so i cant imagine 3MB getting a win over Usos who have been made to look relatively strong lately...

Miz vs Wade Barret is next and it looks like they are picking up from where they left off 2 months ago... interrupted by the valet of Summer Rae and I guess they are really picking up from where it was left a couple months ago.... Really couldn't care about the valet of Summer Rae

Coronation is next and The Shield really are playing the bitches role as they protect the ring from Daniel Bryan as Vince, Steph and Trips are in the ring.... Interesting to see Teddy Long clapping along with what Trips was saying and yet Darren Young was shaking his head haha... I like that Trips hasnt forgot about the history with Randy Orton though, and saying he buried the personal feelings and issues etc to do what was right, playing the corporate heel role without expecting us to forget the history... haha Triple H telling Daniel Bryan to check his ego at the door haha.. (Pot, Kettle???) Was half expecting Triple H to put his thumb up to Orton though as a sign back to Evolution, but we will settle for the awkward hesitation between Randy and Steph ha. Orton said we wouldn't see it coming with his cash in.... I guess he doesnt read the Internet, because I think everyone saw it coming.

So The Shield jumps Daniel Bryan as he is invtied to the ring... he fights them all off and its like a game of British Bulldogs, D-Bry is trying to get in the ring and The Shield keeps stopping him and dragging him back to the ramp.... This story will eventually put D-Bry into super stardom if done right as he is a bigger underdog now than when the show started. D-Bry is allowed in the ring after a beating and then is RKO'd for his trouble... as long as WWE dont drop the ball, D-Bry is shattering that glass ceiling and him finally winning the WWE title will be huge.

B.
