Pathetic. WWE doesnt get around to South Africa that much, but one unruly fan can really ruin it for everyone.

Terrible job by security as well.

Jek

I love how Randy tried to sell the low blow until he realised that wasn't supposed to happen lmao.

I love a good invade/streaker as much as the next guy but when they touch the people involved in the show then that's taking it too far. It should just be seeing how long you can last until security fuck you up.

The Blue Print

Why is it people like Orton and Punk get involved in fan incidents more than any other superstar?  Its odd...

The guy went after Big E too. You can see E going towards him off camera and being held back. This guy had a deathwish.

This pisses me off so much. First of all, what the fuck were security doing? They have one job; make sure the fans don't get too close to the stars, and they can't even do that. The fan himself is a fucking idiot and not a true fan of the business. If he was, he'd have more respect for these guys than to do something that stupid.

It ruins the show, it's not cool or funny or anything. It just ruins the flow of the show, and could potentially end in the superstars or the fan getting hurt... I know it seems unlikely, but what if one of the fans had a hidden blade or something, got into the ring, and stabbed a competitor? Security needs to improve big time and the "fans" who get the idea of doing this need to do everyone a favour and fuck off.

Almost God like? Maybe...

Pisses me off that the camera was so shitty!  What were they doing in the first 60 seconds of the clip...

A few people have said about security being tighter, but I don't see how.  These things happen really fast, and unless you put up fences or have a cordon of security around the ring then it will happen.  Unfortunately you have to trust people, and when you do people let you down...

You always hear stories about the territories where people would be stabbed on their way to and from the ring, and threatened with guns, big brawls, hired police who hated the heels so much they wouldn't help out...either that's all a load of crap, or security back then must have been awesome! In which case, why hire the police?

WrestleZone are claiming it's a work. And, you know, if WrestleZone says something...

IT WAS A SCAM!!!!

Randy Orton Incident In South Africa Likely Staged – “Fan” Identified As Local Wrestler

http://www.wrestlingnewsworld.com/randy … -wrestler/

I've been to a lot of local indie shows, and the security there is, for lack of a better term, completely nonexistent, which leaves it up to the wrestlers themselves to police the proceedings, which has led to a lot of hilarity when some drunk yokel tries to get into it with one of the wrestlers and inevitably gets his ass handed to him and lawn darted out. If this were anywhere else but WWE (and not a work, as some people are suggesting), I could see Orton beating the ever-loving piss out of this idiot for the cheap shot

That guys a fool.

Once a man would spend a week patiently waiting if he missed a stage coach, but now he rages if he misses the first section of a revolving door.

Beefy

I was assuming it was a work because of the way he gave Randy the low blow and because he sold it. Plus how it took him five minutes of creeping across the ring and no one got in there. But after I saw this video I guess it is just some guy who though this would be a good way for him to get a break within the WWE.

Main Event

There appears to be conflicting reports on who attacked Randy Orton in Cape Town, South Africa at the WWE live event. As noted earlier, several fans in attendance sent word that the attacker was a well known local wrestler that goes by the name The Blacksmith, however that doesn’t seem to be the case.

Enca.com, a local news website for South Africa is reporting that the attacker was a fan by the name of Tshepo Sekhabi. Tshepo Sekhabi, who claims he quit his job in order to attend the event, ended up with a black eye and a swollen face as a result of a kick to the face from “The Viper” Randy Orton as he was being pulled from the ring.

Sekhabi commented on the attack to the news outlet, saying, “I just don’t like Randy Orton, this was an opportunity for me so I got up there and made a name for myself.”

Sekabi was not “formally” arrested either, as originally reported by WWE, but instead was given a five year ban from the casino resort where the WWE event was being held.

WWE reports that Tshepo Sekhabi, the man who attacked Randy Orton at Tuesday’s live event in Cape Town, South Africa, pleaded guilty in court yesterday.

Sekhabi was charged and ordered to either pay a 500 Rand fine, or spend 30 days in jail. Sekhabi acknowledged his wrongfulness, and was given a three-year suspended sentence. Sekhabi also is not allowed to attend any of the other WWE live events in Johannesburg, South Africa this week

So £33 of 30 days in jail?

Almost God like? Maybe...

Better to take jail time in South Africa, less chance of being killed in jail than on the street, and he wont be mugged or car jacked in jail either.  If he packs lube then jail is a far safer option...
