Being let go is the worst. It's happened to me and it's a pain in the ass. That's why I'm trying to make money as a freelancer so I don't have to depend on other people.

I got drunk last night, and woke up this morning with a horrible headache, then puked until my stomach was empty. Then continued to dry heave into a cup... All good now though! I need to eat more when i drink.
Once a man would spend a week patiently waiting if he missed a stage coach, but now he rages if he misses the first section of a revolving door.
Sorry for the loss of the job. Hopefully something will open up somewhere soon. Me and all my co-workers are all out looking and competing against each other for any bit job out there. every time we see a job opening, about 30 resumes from the same company are sent. Employers must be like 'wtf?'
I personally HATE freelancing. It's more trouble than it's worth for me. People don't pay u on time, outright refuse to pay, try to cheat you out of money, etc etc etc. I've just gotten used to going in from 8-5 and doing what they tell me, no matter how dumb it is. I have a 8-5er for health benefits and steady pay. They only use about 1/10 of my skill or knowledge cuz there is a chain of command a mile long (and all related by blood) and no one cares for the low-man's opinion, but anyway... it is what it is.

I'm on one of the biggest dry spells I've had since I was like 16. It's been since like Feb or March I can't even remember, it sucks cos I haven't met any new girls and all the girls I already know aren't down for it trust me I tried. Ughhh so frustrated I can't even lie.
This will be a popular thread! Worked 21 hours in the last 48 hours with no sleep, great times great times... jk jk. Losing your job sucks though Mikey, especially in these tough economic times, where it seems like no good paying jobs are ever hiring. I've been looking for a very long time for a manufacturing job but most of the places around here require atleast one years experience. How am I supposed to get that experience if I can't get hired at a place? Yeah...

found out recently that a guy at work with scamming us hardcore and pretending to be people he wasn't in order to get money in extra sales. disguise really friendly with me really into comic books wrestling and like the same type of stuff as I am so I'm really pissed at him.

2 weeks ago I applied for a job as a grave digger and still have not heard back, struggling when I can't even get a job working with dead people!

I'd totally work for the living or the dead right now. I have had 10+ interviews with no job. I know I interviewed well. I'm sad.....
I keep getting offered jobs or interviews that offer 1/2 what I'm making now. 'You're perfect for us, we're offering 1/2x, when can you start.' It's gotten so bad, that I just ask what they are paying before I even hear anything about the job, so i don't waste my time.
Here's a fuck my life post:
A couple of weeks ago I took a hockey stick to the face and needed stitches. I went to the hospital, they looked at me (gave no professional opinion), then I decided because it was my face to have a plastic surgeon stitch me up. They did a cat scan, got stitched up and a week later had the stitches removed. Now the bills arrive. I am absolutely flabbergasted that I have 4 bills from the hospital and one from the plastic surgeon totaling around $3,300.00 US. I HAVE insurance. The plastic surgeon got me the best b/c they're a separate company and aren't connected to any insurances. Comical but at least I can comprehended that.
The 4 bills from the hospital are what I'm really bitching about over here. Insurance helped with all but they billed me for the admittance and cats scan. Fine.
Then I get billed for some dumb bitch who refused to answer any of my questions and did nothing to me....?????
Then I get billed by some Male doctor. Not the lady who first looked at me and not the plastic surgeon. So who the fuck is this guy and why am I paying him...??????
Finally, I have massive bill from the plastic surgeon already. Yet the hospital is billing me for nearly $500 bucks b/c the plastic surgeon stitched me up....in their hospital. I mean it was closer to $3,400 dollars before my insurance helped.
But Seriously......what the fuck????? I have to pay b/c I made eye contact with some dumb bitch? B/c plastic surgery took place in their hospital, but not by any of their people? WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON?!?!?
I think the Joker had it right when he blew up a hospital

I left my old job long ago to get better health insurance, so i could have a kid. The job is a soul-crushing, shit-on-you-for-8-hours-a-day job, but it has good health insurance. It's a trade off.

In all seriousness, have you called them and gotten feedback for your interview? I always make sure I speak to the people that interview me, regardless of being offered the role or not, and ask for feedback. It really helps structure your next interview.

I lost my job yesterday. Something about restructuring the business and closing my office. I wasn't really paying attention at that point, I was trying not to kill my ex boss. FML............
