Bray Wyatt has been busting his ass with this new gimmick forever, and knocking it out of the park with those promos and videos.

He debuts tonight and the crowd starts a 'hus-key harr-is' chant. I took it as them mocking him. Smarks can be douches sometimes.

They aren't mocking him though. He had a great response when they came out. Smarks will be smarks but in the long run, it won't hurt him.

I think Wyatt may be the new number one heel in the company within just a few months. That debut could not have been anymore badass. Great entrance. Creepy as hell. This is going to be fantastic.

I was a big fan of husky harris when he was HH... it's good to have somebody that looks different than everyone else. He was good in the ring too.

I like it, I don't think that the chant was bad for him, plus he didn't respond, it'll die down in a couple of weeks. When he establishes himself as a new character. I read something earlier, where I thought that the WWE should acknowledge the chants, and respond. Say that Husky left the WWE and disappeared, and has taken on this whole new persona... something like that.. eh?

Once a man would spend a week patiently waiting if he missed a stage coach, but now he rages if he misses the first section of a revolving door.

Almost God like? Maybe...

I don't see the point in acknowledging any chants.  I have no clue who he is, or who he was, but I know that if WWE react then the chants continue, and also cross over to over characters (imagine prototype chants during a cena seg).  The people chanting are doing so to get a reaction, if you don't react then whats the point of chanting?  When I wind up my gf, if she ignores me I get bored and stop.  If she reacts then I carry on and push more buttons. Same thing here.

Exactly my thoughts. If there is no pay off for the idiots in the crowd, they won't waste their time.

I disagree, I don't think anything in wrestling should be ignored, especially the fans.

I know where you are coming from, but I'm talking about dicks and bullies. They should be ignored. The common fan should be included to as full a degree as possible.

Punk responds to everything the crowd does whether its with a verbal response or just a smirk to let them know "yeah, I heard that" but he isn't getting ridiculed for having been stuck with a shitty gimmick. These guys deserve respect too. We pay money to watch them be the character that they are. We don't go to World War Z and yell, "Go Tyler Durden". Hilds said it before, bullies and dicks need to let the guy do his job. I have never been a fan of chanting "you fucked up" when a guy botches a move. Believe me, he knows he fucked up and he doesn't need a couple of assholes running their mouth about it from the stands. When we go to a WWE event, we are all a part of the same show with the talent. If we want the show to be good, we have to respect the performers and what they are trying to do. Cheer for who you want, boo who you want but Curtis Axel isn't Michael McGullitcuty and Bray Wyatt isn't Husky Harris. Leave that in the past and enjoy what they are now. How many "Stunning Steve" chants did you hear being yelled at Stone Cold??

Stunning Steve was a different scenario. The chants will die down in a couple of weeks, but by including it in and NOT pretending we just forgot about Husky Harris, if enough people know it to start a chant, then enough people know to get acknowledges, stuff like this can create wrestlers, or at least put them in the spotlight for a moment (Fandango). Yes you probably didn't hear Stunning Steve as much, but information wasn't available as quickly then, there was barely an internet, much less a wikipedia that records everything, I wouldn't know anything about 80's wrestlers, much less earlier without the internet.

Maybe more people are wasting there time reading up on wrestlers and watching their older matches and seeing the talent before it quite blossomed, or while it was blossoming. And lets not take a double standard against not acknowledging wrestlers pasts as if they didn't exist, I want to know about Husky Harris just as much as I want to know about Claudio Constagnoli, or Bryan Danielson, or Tyler Black... Then again, no one really chants for those names anymore, but they're not very chantable names...

Anywho, DAMN THE MAN! SAVE THE EMPIRE!
