BodySlam.net is reporting Daniel Bryan is officially with AEW.

"In an update as to the future of Bryan Danielson (fka Daniel Bryan), a source I have spoken to has told me that he is “locked in” and has 100% already signed a contract with AEW. In addition, I was told that Danielson was wanting to work less dates for comparable money, he wanted the ability to be able to work in Japan, and wanted to have creative input on his character, which he got."

There are also tentative plans already in place for Danielson’s AEW debut.

Earlier tonight Cassidy Haynes of Bodyslam.net reported that Daniel Bryan, aka Bryan Danielson, had signed a deal with All Elite Wrestling. Haynes has now provided more details about Bryan’s rumored deal and his debut.

In another exclusive report, Bryan’s AEW debut is scheduled for the September 22 episode of AEW Dynamite called Grand Slam. The show will take place in Arthur Ashe Stadium in Queens, New York, marking AEW’s first show in New York and their second in the Tri State area following Dynamite in Newark, New Jersey the week prior.

Haynes further reported that Bryan’s debut was being saved for that show in order to wrap up plans AEW had leading into the All Out PPV. However, he further notes that plans could be change, citing reports of AEW’s talks with CM Punk as potentially moving up (or back) Bryan’s debut.

If this is really true, this is a GAME CHANGER. Are we about to see the return of Bryan Danielson??

This would be a massive signing. Surprised he didn't sign a new contract with WWE but it seems they're cost cutting... So I'm not too surprised. Would be a great coup for AEW though.

Bryan outside of WWE is the greatest thing for pro wrestling... sounds like he will be debuting at the dynamite at the tennis stadium in NY next month.

He recently appeared as a guest on the Kliq Show for an interview and made some interesting comments.

On how WWE did try and get a NJPW relationship into his deal: “Well so I don’t know how far along the talks went but, and I don’t know even if I was the start of them for sure but one of the things when I was talking to them when they were — when WWE was trying to re-sign me was I said I wanna be able to go work in Japan and so they were trying to come up with an agreement to where I would be able to go and do that and that sort of thing and so yeah, that was definitely something that was talked about.”

On how he’s not sure how well the relationship was: “I don’t know where it went or anything like that. All I know is that now it seems like AEW has a really great relationship with New Japan. So I feel like it couldn’t have gone that well [Bryan laughed].”
