The audio-show opens up on the official 4CW YouTube channel, as well as the 4CW Network stream. The fairly new voice of interviewer Leon Teller fills the airwaves.

Teller: Hello, I am Leon Teller, and welcome, ladies, gentlemen and people of all ages, to the 2020 edition of the 4CW End of Year awards! Tonight, we will give out awards in eleven different categories. These include match of the year, show of the year, wrestler of the year and so much more. I will be the host and bring you the results, live from this special edition of 4CW Radio. Let’s kick things off with the newest award… FACTION OF THE YEAR!

==

FACTION OF THE YEAR

Teller: The nominations for Faction of the Year are as follows:

The Black Flame, led by Rhys Cain, and consisting of members Erica Moxie, Eli Waters, Zephyris, Garret Fischer and Bruce Rigg.

The Order of the Phoenix, led by Madeline Phoenix, and consisting of members Witch Hazel, Tsukiko Mizuno and Oki-Kira.

The Supergroup, consisting of leaders Zak E Justice and Nik Waverly, as well as Myback, Rane, Carlos Starr and Tony Rock.

And last but not least, The Janiturs. Led by Drunkin Janitur, alongside Swifter, JANISTAR, Jani-Her and honourary members Senecca and Dirk Meyer.

AND THE WINNER IS …

THE BLACK FLAME!!

The Black Flame have certainly made 2020 their year, and this award is the greatest proof they need. What will 2021 hold for them? Congratulations to The Black Flame, and now it’s time for our second awards… BREAKOUT STAR OF THE YEAR!!

==

BREAKOUT STAR OF THE YEAR

Teller: The nominations for Breakout Star of the Year are…

Kinzy Kane, who has burst on to the scene after being trained by partner Pilgrim Paige.
Eli Waters, who became the newest member of The Black Flame and was also Universal Champion for two months.
Xavier Avana, the second-generation rookie who made his debut at Revival and later in the year captured the 4CW Custom Cup Championship at Gallows End.

And the winner is …

breakout.png

XAVIER AVANA!!

The 4CW Custom Cup Champion has won the award at the first attempt! Many congratulations to The Phoenix! Let’s see what he has to offer in 2021! Moving right along, we come to our next award… the MOST IMPROVED award!

==

MOST IMPROVED

Teller: The nominees for Most Improved are…

Phil McGroin, who spent most of the year as some combination of the Lightning in the Bottle holder and 4CW Custom Cup Champion. He will cash in the Lightning in the Bottle at WAR for a chance to become World Champion, capping off easily his most successful year in 4CW so far.

Tommy Young, one-half of Run ‘N’ Gun with Brian White, has spent the year adding impressive accolades to his trophy cabinet. Multiple tag team championship wins, making Run ‘N’ Gun three-time tag team champions, as well as a glorious achievement of winning the 13 Ghost Gauntlet match to earn himself a 4CW World Championship match at WAR.

Dark Lotus, who has dominated the Hardcore division for much of 2020 and is the longest-reigning 4CW Hardcore Champion of all time. With 280 plus days under his belt as champion, he has been a highlight of the 4CW year.

And the winner is…

improved.png

PHIL MCGROIN!! Yes, the former Custom Cup Champion has won this award for the second time in his career. With a more decorated career than the last time, where will he go from here in 2021? And will he walk into 2021 the 4CW World Champion? Coming up next, it’s RETURN OF THE YEAR!!

==

RETURN OF THE YEAR

Teller: The nominations for Return of the Year are…

Inferno, making his return at the start of the year to aid his long-time ally, Carstein, in the battle against Jack Valentine and his goons.
Glock Nine, making his return rechristened as Dark Lotus, and bringing with him a new spell of dominance never before seen from him in 4CW.
Jacob Scharff, making his return at Revival to introduce his son, Xavier Avana, in his 4CW debut.
Jon Viper, making his return at Gallows End to compete in the 13 Ghost Gauntlet match and become a lumberjack for the night.

And the winner of the Return of the Year is…

return.png

DARK LOTUS!! The Swamp Native and his folk will no doubt continue their domination going into 2021. And now, it is time for one of the most prestigious awards tonight: SHOW OF THE YEAR!!

==

SHOW OF THE YEAR

Teller: The nominations for Show of the Year are…

Storm Front: WAR III (December 2019), featuring the WAR match between The Black Flame and The Order of the Phoenix & Carstein, Jack Valentine defending the 4CW World Championship versus Brian White and Elfan Simtul in a triple threat and Pilgrim Paige defending the Universal Championship against Supreme.

Storm Front: Battle in the Bayou (February), featuring a tag team gauntlet match in the Soul Survivor Tournament, as well as the debut of Dark Lotus and Phil McGroin defending the Custom Cup Title in a Chairs match against Witch Hazel.

Revival XIV (April), featuring the Hard Knocks Life match between Jack Valentine and Carstein for the 4CW World Championship, the Finals of the 2020 Soul Survivor Tournament for the Tag Team Championships, an Ironman match between Paige and Supreme for the Universal Championship and the second annual Lightning in the Bottle match.

Storm Front: Rumble in the Storm (July), featuring the third annual Rumble in the Storm match and Rhys Cain vs Sery in an MMA-style fight for the power of General Manager.

Storm Front: Atonement (August), featuring Rhys Cain’s reign of terror over 4CW beginning, Carstein vs Inferno in a No Holds Barred match and multiple championship matches.

Gallows End (October), featuring the traditional 13 Ghost Gauntlet match, Valentine vs Carstein for the World Championship in a Gallows Pole match and a Lumberjack match between Rhys Cain and Sery for the ownership of 4CW.

And the winner of Show of the Year is …

show.png

REVIVAL XIV!! Yes, it may come as no surprise that the biggest show of the year was also this year the BEST show of the year! And who knows what will come in NEXT years Revival or beyond? All kinds of potential magical moments, which brings me to my next award, the MOMENT OF THE YEAR!!

==

MOMENT OF THE YEAR

Teller: The nominees for Moment of the Year are…

Inferno betraying Carstein in the Hard Knocks Life match against Jack Valentine for the World Championship at Revival.
Phil McGroin winning the second annual Lightning in the Bottle match at Revival.
Run ‘N’ Gun winning Soul Survivor, as well as the aftermath chaos of Cain and Bonham becoming Grand Slam Champions at Revival.
Rhys Cain defeating Sery at Rumble in the Storm to become General Manager of 4CW.
Brain White winning the Rumble in the Storm match.
Sery defeating Rhys Cain in a Lumberjack match at Gallows End to become the owner of 4CW and fire Cain as General Manager of 4CW.
Tommy Young winning the 2020 13 Ghost Gauntlet at Gallows End.
Jack Valentine hanging Carstein to retain the 4CW World Championship in a Gallows Pole match at Gallows End.

And the winner of Moment of the Year is…

moment.png

INFERNO BETRAYING CARSTEIN!! Yes, one of the most despicable actions we’ve ever seen in 4CW! And it sent shockwaves through 4CW igniting one of the hottest feuds of the year, which leads me to our next award, for FEUD OF THE YEAR!!

==

FEUD OF THE YEAR

Teller:The nominees for Feud of the Year are…

Inferno vs Carstein, after a monstrous betrayal by Inferno that cost Carstein his chance at the 4CW World Championship in the Revival main event, culminating in a No Holds Barred match at Storm Front: Atonement.

Jack Valentine vs Carstein, flared on by the previous nominee. Despite a gloriously vicious feud, Carstein was unable to defeat Valentine in two attempts, at Revival in a Hard Knocks Life match and at Gallows End in the Gallows Pole match.

Rhys Cain vs Sery, a power struggle for the ages. It led to a match to determine the General Manager of Storm Front at Rumble in the Storm, and a subsequent owner of 4CW Lumberjack match at Gallows End, in which Sery was victorious and restored order to the promotion.

Drunkin Janitur vs Dark Lotus, an underappreciated feud that has simmered in the background all year. After Dark Lotus’ capturing and brainwashing of Janitur’s arch rivals, The Supergroup, Janitur realised there were greater evils in the world than his former foes and set out to rescue The Supergroup. Eventually, he would break them out of their trance and bring them back to themselves, before facing the wrath of Dark Lotus himself to many hilarious situations.

Umbra Maxima vs Run ‘N’ Gun. A feud between the most dominant team in 4CW history and the hottest team in 4CW right now. The two teams have battled it out in multiple formats, first with the Soul Survivor Tournament culminating at Revival and then throughout the year, exchanging victory and Tag Team Championships several times and culminating in a thunderous cage match at Gallows End in which Umbra Maxima came out victorious.

Pilgrim Paige vs Supreme. A classic tale of competition and superiority. With neither competitor willing to concede the other is better, the two decided their fates ones and for all in an Ironman match at Revival for the 4CW Universal Championship. After a gruelling 30-minute battle, Pilgrim Paige would come out as the 5-4 victor and the champion, proving once and for all who the better competitor is.

Fantastic feuds all year, but the winner of Feud of the Year is…

feud.png

RHYS CAIN VS SERY!! Yes, the very battle of 4CW and its future was at stake! What a fantastic feud, if not sometimes terrifying, as Sery vanquished The Black Flame to win ownership of the company he loves! A company full of fantastic matches… but which one was MATCH OF THE YEAR?!

==

MATCH OF THE YEAR

Teller: The nominees for Match of the Year are…

4CW World Championship: Jack Valentine (c) vs Carstein, Hard Knocks Life match, Revival XIV
4CW Universal Championship: Pilgrim Paige (c) vs Supreme, Ironman match, Revival XIV
Rumble in the Storm match, Storm Front: Rumble in the Storm III
4CW Universal Championship: Eli Waters (c) vs Pilgrim Paige vs Erica Moxie, Gallows End
4CW World Championship: Jack Valentine (c) vs Carstein, Gallows Pole match, Gallows End
4CW Tag Team Championships: Run ‘N’ Gun (c) vs Umbra Maxima, Cage match, Gallows End

And the Match of the Year is…

match.png

4CW World Championship: Jack Valentine (c) vs Carstein, Hard Knocks Life match, Revival XIV!!

A history-making match with repercussions that would be felt for months, the catalyst of which being Inferno’s unimaginable betrayal. A match that has become part of the World Champion’s journey this year, but which champion is CHAMPION OF THE YEAR?!

==

CHAMPION OF THE YEAR

Teller: The nominees for Champion of the Year are…

Jack Valentine, who has been 4CW World Champion since July of 2019. He has successfully defended against the likes of Brian White, Elfan Simtul and Carstein since capturing it, and will defend the championship against four competitors at WAR. He is currently the longest-reigning 4CW World Champion of all time.

Pilgrim Paige, who was Universal Champion for much of the year, and earned an iconic victory in the Ironman match against Supreme at Revival to retain the title. She has since captured the championship a second time, after losing it for a brief period between August  and October.

Eli Waters, who captured the Universal Championship from Pilgrim Paige in his rookie year and held on to the title for two months before losing it again to Pilgrim Paige.

Phil McGroin, who spent much of the year dominating chair matches as 4CW Custom Cup Champion. He also spent time as the Lightning in the Bottle holder simultaneously.

Silent Sorcery, who started the year as 4CW Tag Team Champions and fought valiantly to hold on to the titles, going all the way to the final of the Soul Survivor tournament before falling short and dropping the title to Run ‘N’ Gun.

Umbra Maxima, who alongside Run ‘N’ Gun, have both earned nominations given their ongoing feud this year that has seen them trade the tag championships multiple times and culminate their battles in an insane cage match at Gallows End.

Dark Lotus, who has spent most of the year dominating the Hardcore division and holding the championship hostage as he rules the roost. While he is not currently holding the title, his mark left upon the division not hard to miss, given he is now the longest-reigning Hardcore Champion of all time.

And the Champion of the Year is...

champ.png

JACK VALENTINE! Yes, the undisputed World Champion claims the award after spending the whole year so far as champion! Next up, is the two and only... TAG TEAM OF THE YEAR!!

==

TAG TEAM OF THE YEAR

Teller: The nominees for Tag Team of the Year are…

Run ‘N’ Gun, winners of the 2020 Soul Survivor tournament and now three-time Tag Team Champions.
Silent Sorcery, now two-time Tag Team Champions.
Umbra Maxima, who have become four-time Tag Team Champions and still hold the record for most days as champions.
Synth City Thrillers, bursting onto the scene with aplomb and sick dance moves.
Rhys Cain and Clyde Bonham, who held the Tag Team Championships for a few short minutes when they became Grand Slam Champions at Revival.
Murder of Crows, always dangerous and willing to be bought.
S&M, veterans of the ring and 4CW Hall of Famers, have competed in several tag team championship matches.

And the Tag Team of the Year is…

tag-team.png

RUN N GUN!! Yes, the Welsh duo made history in 2020 with the Soul Survivor tournament win, which would start one of three tag championship reigns they would achieve in the following months. Their iconic feud with Umbra Maxima came to a thunderous head too at Gallows End. And both members of Run ‘N’ Gun are now taking their chance at singles competition to see if they can become World Champion. Speaking of singles competition, it’s time for our final and most prestigious award… it is time…. For the WRESTLER OF THE YEAR award!!

==

WRESTLER OF THE YEAR

Teller: The nominees for Wrestler of the Year are…

Jack Valentine, the ever-present undisputed World Champion.
Carstein, the vengeful 4CW Hall of Famer and Valentine’s biggest threat.
Phil McGroin, the first-ever simultaneous 4CW Custom Cup Champion and Lightning in the Bottle holder.
Pilgrim Paige, the multiple-time Universal Champion Ironwoman.
Rhys Cain, the bringer of darkness and attempted usurper of 4CW.
Sery, the saviour of 4CW who vanquished The Black Flame.
Dark Lotus, displaying a hardcore domination of the entire locker room.
Madeline Phoenix, featuring in many high profile matches throughout the year and always being on the cusp of achieving victory.
Brian White, three-time Tag Champion, Soul Survivor and Rumble in the Storm winner.
Tommy Young, three-time Tag Champion, Soul Survivor and 13 Ghost Gauntlet winner.

An intensely impressive list, but the winner and Wrestler of the Year is …

wrestler.png

JACK VALENTINE!!

Yes, it is undeniable. The longest-reigning 4CW champion in history. The most dominant face of 4CW we have ever seen. And for the second year in a row, Wrestler of the Year. The one, the only, the Mad Dog… Jack Valentine, and he has earned the title of Wrestler of the Year 2020. That is all we have time for tonight, people! Thank you for joining us, congratulations to all the winners, and as we say goodbye, we’re going to take a look back and honour the winners of the past few years. Goodnight!

Id like to thank the academy. And all of the other winners. It’s great to see your hard work get noticed. These past two years have been the greatest run I’ve ever had in 4CW. And I don’t just mean that from a “winning” perspective. The storylines (more so others and not my own) have been top notch. Award shows, rumbles, tournaments, all sorts of titles, every show feels epic. I enjoy just being apart of it and diving into all these great stories and anxiously awaiting their conclusions and enjoying all the twists and turns. Truly a great past couple of years and looking for more in the future. Paige and Rhys deserve huuuuge credit for always carrying the bulk of the load. Everyone pitches in but we know without them, 4CW wouldn’t be here today. Jesus 2005 guys. Only a few hiatus’s. Impressive. I was a sophomore in highschool. Like 15 years old. I’m 33! Lol

And Gorgrim is right. It is 100% the time for me to be knocked off my pedestal. Out with the old and in with the new…….

But I’m going to make you earn it!
