Absolutely bewildering. They JUST brought back and repackaged Black. They had him knock out Big E, then released him.
Braun Strowman, main eventing PPVs with World Title matches like a month ago now he's gone.

Yeah this is pretty weird. Stowman looked like he was getting a push and would continue in the main event for a while... Black is one that I've read for a while is highly thought off by WWE.
Lana is the only one I'm not surprised at purely based on her husband wrestling elsewhere. I was surprised she didn't go with him at the time.
Braun Strowman's release from WWE was arguably the most shocking to fans, however, fightfulselect.com reports that some talent didn't find it all that surprising, pointing mainly to the "monster deal" he signed in 2019 that was said to have been paying him upwards of $1 million annually. The report hints that Strowman played hard-ball with WWE and waited until the last minute to sign his new contract as he knew what his worth was.
One possible reason. WWE backstagers have said it's budget cuts so it's quite possible he was just on too much.
Didn't see this coming, but WWE has released Braun Strowman.

Really didn't see Strowman getting released any time soon though, so he's either done something or he's asked to leave. Weird one though either way.
