Main Event · 977 commentsIt was great that they gave Taker a send-off. Half expected it to not be the main event, so to speak, but I'm glad they went with that. Few wrestlers can truly deserve to have their retirement speech after the wrestling main event. It's a real shame that there were no fans in attendance for it though (understandable, obviously, but still a shame given the moment). Just imagine there being 50,000 fans in the arena giving Taker the send-off he deserves. It'd be up there with some of the loudest chants we've ever heard. McMahon giving the intro was gold, absolutely loved that.
Match wise, it was actually quite a good PPV. Only match that was okay at best was Bobby Lashley vs. Sami Zayn. Everything else was good to very good. If I was rating out of five, every match bar Lashley vs. Zayn would be between a 3 and 4-star match. Nothing higher than a 4, but I'd say the tag titles and main event were worthy 4-star matches.

Admin and 4CW Head Booker · 5,096 commentsThe show was full of fine matches, some good matches - but the fact is none of the matches meant anything. No stakes, it was basically a night of exhibition matches.
The real (and honestly, only) highlight of the show was Taker's thing. Got way more emotional about it than I expected. The Paul Bearer hologram was a nice touch too. Undertaker is one of the best ever, and that was a great send off.
Thanks Taker_2004 for the banner!

Main Event · 977 commentsTrue, I wasn't excited about this PPV for that exact reason. It's also why I hated the Bragging Rights PPV. There was nothing at stake in any of the matches and why would fans care about who wins between Raw and Smackdown? It's just like this, I don't care about their brands. They all swap so often these days that we can't even believe that they care about their "brand" that much. Would rather they just stuck to the Survivor Series matches being Raw vs. Smackdown and the title matches being actual title matches with some meaning. But at least make the Survivor Series matches mean something too - like the winning members get a title shot or something. Give the matches an edge, the wrestler a reason for wanting to win.
