You've probably seen it by now, the wrestling world is currently in the spotlight with wrestlers from all over the world being accused of all sorts of assault and harrasment allegations. It started with the UK indy scene but has since gone global.

Some of the biggest names being mentioned, with damning evidence surfacing, include:

-Jim Cornette (threatening people's careers if they don't have sex with his wife)
-Matt Riddle (rape/Sexual Assault)
-Velveteen Dream (Messaging underage girls/boys)
-David Starr (tons of sexual assault)
-Jordan Devlin (domestic abuse)

Other names, and there may be evidence, I haven't checked because there's so many things going around:

Jack Gallagher (rape, has since been released from WWE)
Jimmy Havoc (rape)
Dave Crist (sexual harrassment/assault)
Michael Elgin (sexual harrassment/assault)

Tons of others. Seriously, there's gotta be over 100 at this point.

Looks like we've got a mass exodus on our hands.

I just saw that Gallagher has been released because of it. I get the zero tolerance thing... totally correct stance by WWE... but you'd have to hope there's something actually in it and someones not just lost their job on an allegation alone.

Also I'm actually not surprised by the Cornette allegation at all... well, maybe at the sex with the wife part as that's a bit odd. But if I had to pick some guy in the wrestling world who would have sexual abuse allegations against them then Cornette would be one of my top choices.

I'd rather it be somehow proven that there's nothing in it and Gallagher goes on to pick up the pieces/work somewhere else, rather than it to be that he committed the zillionth rape/sexual assault in the entertainment industry.

I get both your arguments and I sit somewhere in the middle. If the evidence tends to point to it being true, then release. If it's a random twitter comment with no further context, little detail and conflicting details, it's probably false. You have to take it on a case by case basis, which is hard to do when there's literally hundreds of cases spouting at once.
