Chris Jericho and Adam Page faced off to decide the first ever AEW champion at AEW All Out.

And the winner was... JERICHO!

I love that he won the belt first. He has quite the wrestling legacy and this just adds to it.

Agreed. It was the right decision. Adam Page can get more over chasing the belt than defending it right off the bat.

Great decision. I personally didn't know who Adam Page was before this, so with Jericho as champion they can keep building Page up for fans that didn't know him before AEW as he chases the belt. Hopefully the feud continues for a bit.

Jericho's wrestling legacy has to be up there with the best in the business now. He's nearing 50 and you wouldn't know it. He's maintained a standard that is quite high, he's won belts everywhere including being the first Undisputed Champion in WWE. If he was in someone like Takers shape, or a Goldberg who wrestles once in a blue moon, then I could see there being some anger. But despite the occasional break, he keeps going and and has looked after himself (the occasional break probably helped massively with that). Love that they put the belt on him as their first champion though.

Jericho has lost his belt. Not to a wrestler. But whilst eating in a steakhouse. Someone stole it. Never been more invested in a wrestling story. That he even took the belt out to a steakhouse is simply amazing.
