Bahahaha. This was great fun. I'm going to do my best to review this now and start working on the last Storm Front review which I never got to. It honestly slipped my mind until Paige through up a review.
Wasn't expecting this at all. Nice bonus content to pump us up before the big show. Some real solid matches names wise on the card. The whole Hardcore thing was great, but not just because it involved my character, but that's exactly the spirit of the title. Was a nice fun read that spanned a good chunk of the show and now i'm a 4 time Hardcore champion! Wooo!
I liked how the matches were quick summaries. Made this a nice quick read and it was fun! So unexpected. I liked the McGroin interference, this guy was just everywhere. Big clean win for White, lookin real strong going into Revival.
This wasn't exactly a set up for anything show, as seen by the "Fan Access"title, but I liked it for what it was. Its a big step up from the dark match shows we were getting. And i enjoy those. Maybe Rhys is setting us up for our own Crown Jewel Supershow event.

4CW 2019: Champion/Wrestler/Moment
Yeah this was a fun little read. Some good action throughout and some strong wins, and even losses for those involved. Enjoyed seeing Tommy Get his first title defence and even coming out for the save later, nice touch there. Honestly, I'm not sure with who to go after with White. His history with both Rhys and Paige is strong and he would want to get his hands on both for different reasons. We'll see what happens after Revival!
The Hardcore stuff was fun, nice filler that isn't just filler, one of the nice things about our shows! And yeah, I really enjoyed how it was written as an article. Actually did make it feel a bit special, even for a fan event! Nice one Rhys!

Revival XIII is just around the corner and fans from all around the world will be heading to Dallas for the history-making event. However, the most hardcore of fans congregated a few days earlier, for the special Revival All-Access fan event which boasted two championship matches. The first was for the 4CW Custom Cup Championship. 4CW Custom Cup Champion Tommy Young won his title after defeating Witch Hazel at Gallows End 2018 and was ready to make his first title defense tonight, in his chosen stipulation of an Ultimate X match. His opponent? The Omaha-native Erica Moxie, brutal in both her demeanour and in-ring style.
4CW Custom Cup Championship
Ultimate X match
Tommy Young (c) vs Erica Moxie
The X-shaped ropes were set up above the ring and both Tommy Young and Erica Moxie came out to raucous reactions, albeit Young's being very favourable while Moxie's almost turning the atmosphere into a scary one. Nevertheless, the match got underway, and for a few minutes, the two of them went back and forth with some quick-moving action, getting the upper hand of each other a lot, allowing the match to be filled with reversals in the early going. The match turned into more of a slugfest as the minutes rolled on, and Moxie got the better of Young with her brutal strikes, and got her first big opportunity to win when she knocked Young out of the ring with a Moxie Madness strike combo.
Moxie made an attempt to climb the turnbuckle, and then the ropes, but Young was back in the action fairly quickly and he jumped up and pulled Moxie down from the rope, causing her to crash hard and giving him the ultimate opportunity to win the match. Young goes up to the turnbuckle and sees Moxie stirring, so instead of climbing on the rope, he hits the Bombs Away Swanton Bomb. He climbed again, and this time, made it on the ropes, but was clearly hindered by his hitting of the high-risk move. He made it half-way across the rope when Moxie got back up to her feet and just about grabbed his foot, stopping him from progressing. Top Gun fought back with some brutal kicks to the head, but it wasn't enough to deter Moxie, so he sacrificed life and limb again by dropping down from the rope with an Aces High Flying Forearm Smash!
The two of them lay on the mat, exhausted, and the crowd around me were going ballistic. Chants of "Holy Shit!" and "This is Awesome!" dominated the next couple of minutes, which mostly consisted of the two warriors trying to muster the strength to get back to their feet. Young manages it first, and sets up Moxie for a Sling Blade but she pushes him away and instead grabs the recovering Young and takes him out with a Gutwrench Powerbomb! The match may have been won for Moxie, if she could just find the strength to immediately climb. As it was, it takes her almost half a minute to start her ascent, and in the meanwhile, Young recovers and starts to climb from the opposite side.
The result was two superstars using their last ounce of strength to meet in the middle and try and hit each other off. They exchange some stiff strikes, including punches and elbows, but it's a forearm smash from Young that sends Moxie crashing to the floor! Young unhooks the belt and retains the 4CW Custom Cup Championship in a brutal, exciting and hard-hitting affair.
Winner and STILL 4CW Custom Cup Champion: Tommy Young
Jack Valentine graced us with his presence next, and came to the ring with the 4CW Hardcore Championship. He says that he knows there are wrestlers and maybe even fans who will be trying to get hold of the Hardcore title with the 24/7 rule, so he simply decided to come out and call out any potential challengers. The Supergroup answer the call, and Justice and Waverly start talking trash to Valentine. After the 26th time of calling him bro, Valentine interrupts and tells them if one of them doesn't come to fight him, he's coming to fight them. Nik Waverly steps forward to accept the challenge.
4CW Hardcore Championship
Jack Valentine (c) vs Nik Waverly
This is barely a match. Waverly strolls into the ring, with brass knuckles on and the ref rings the bell. Waverly swings wildly, Valentine ducks, and hits the Flea Shot DDT for the win.
Winner and STILL 4CW Hardcore Champion: Jack Valentine
Jack Valentine gets to his feet and bursts out laughing at all of The Supergroup. They all decide to flood the ring and Valentine makes quick work of Myback and Rane. Justice gets a few shots in but Valentine throws him over the top rope. However, Tony Rock comes in from behind with a steel chair and smashes Valentine across the back. He hooks the leg, and Starr jumps on top to help him pin. The referee counts three and Rock wins the Hardcore title!
Winner and NEW 4CW Hardcore Champion: Tony Rock
Rock rolls out of the ring and the referee hands him the title. He stumbles up the ramp, half-celebrating, when suddenly, Phil McGroin comes down the ramp with a chair of his own! One smash to the back later, and McGroin screaming how HE is the master of steel chairs, he pins Rock and we have a new champion!
Winner and NEW 4CW Hardcore Champion: Phil McGroin
McGroin wastes no time in fleeing into the crowd, where he is swarmed by fans wanting autographs. There's a five minute intermission where I grabbed myself a Sery's Special Smoothie. It was awful and cost $19. I dread to think what was in it. I stopped drinking when I detected what I thought was pickle juice. After that unfortunate experience, the in-ring action continued. Brian White, the Universal Champion, set for action in a non-title match against "The Black Flame" Rhys Cain!
Non-title singles match
Brian White vs Rhys Cain
This match between these two storied rivalries was as brutal and hard hitting as expected. Putting everything on the line despite having important matches in just four days, Cain and White started the match going back and forth with quick strikes. White took the advantage being the bigger man, but Cain kept fighting back with strikes that proved size isn't everything. Cain stunned White with a few chops to the chest and face, but White was able to overtake the momentum of the match with a Big Boot that knocked Cain to the mat.
White put his strength and size on display with a series of crippling moves. He sent Cain to the ropes and took him out with a thunderous spinebuster. He then followed it up with a running senton, landing with his back into Cain's gut! White hooks the leg but it only gets him a two count, so he continues the assault by sending Cain to the ropes and taking him out with a hip toss, before setting up Cain for the body slam. Cain tries to fight out, and White moves around, and once his face is hidden from the ref, Cain rakes the eyes and is able to slip out of White's grasp!
Cain then takes out the big man with a spear and hooks the leg but is only able to get a count of two. Cain locks in The Back Snap on the bigger man and for a couple of minutes manages to keep White in the center of the ring. White is close to tapping, but finds a second wind and uses his size and strength to crawl over to the ropes and grab them, breaking the submission. Cain keeps the hold in to the count of four, before relinquishing.
Cain immediately jumps back on the assault. He takes out White with the Caput Draconis Enziguri, but White again kicks out at two. Cain sets up for Dragon Rage and when White gets back up to his feet, launches for the attack. White, however, sidesteps and Cain hits the mat. White takes out Cain with a thunderous Pavement Slam! He then grabs Cain and sets him up for the Train Crash Running Powerbomb! He lfits Cain up into the air, but Cain rains down lefts trying to get out of the predicament! White sways, but then finds his balance and runs forward, sending Cain crashing to the mat with the Train Crash! That's all she wrote and White gets the 1...2...3!
Winner: Brian White
After the match, The Black Flame run down to the ringside area. They seem to consider going into the ring, but with White's daring taunts, they instead just pull Cain out of the ring to safety and retreat, while White celebrates with the fans.
After this exciting match, the miracle of McGroin's Camera Man and a small screen over the ramp is a godsend as we are able to see Phil McGroin escaping through the swarm of fans trying to get autographs. He runs past the merch tables, and into a hallway. He runs through to an open door he sees at the end, but just as he gets to it the door slams, hitting McGroin square in the face and knocking him out! The door opens to reveal, with a referee in tow - CARLOS STARR! Camera Man makes sure to keep his distance as Starr covers McGroin to win the belt!
Winner and NEW 4CW Hardcore Champion: Carlos Starr
Starr immediately goes back into the room and grabs his bag. He pats his body for a missing item, but instead shrugs and then flees down the hallway with the title. Camera Man chases after him, apparently transfixed with his natural instinct to record everything. Starr is whooping and cheering as he runs, and as he turns a corner, he bumps into Zephyris. The following exchange takes place.
Zephyris: Hey, what's up, bro?
Starr: Hey, bro. Listen, I need your help. I can't find my phone. Can you order me a cab?
Zephyris: Uh... sure, bro.
Zephyris then calls a cab. It takes a couple of minutes. I guess the office was busy.
Zephyris: They said they'll be in the parking lot in ten minutes.
Starr: Thanks, bro. You're a starr.
Zephyris: Anytime, bro. Here, let me make sure you get out OK. Ref, you be our lookout.
The two of them run into the parking lot. It's empty.
Starr: Ten minutes, you said?
But Starr doesn't get an answer. Instead, Zephyris rams him head first into the door of a parked car and skull meets steel with a CLONK. Zephyris covers Starr and once again, we have a new champion.
Winner and NEW 4CW Hardcore Champion: Zephyris
Zephyris decides to head back to The Black Flame locker room, but is caught on his way by The Virgin Rose! She hits him in the face with a tray from the canteen then locks him in The Wilting Figure Four Leg Lock! Zephyris screams for help, but there's no-one around, and so he taps out.
Winner and NEW 4CW Hardcore Champion: The Virgin Rose
The Virgin Rose didn't hold on to the belt long though. Thirty seconds after winning the title, she is blindsided by Jack Valentine! He takes her out with a clothesline and throws her against a case in the hallway. Valentine hits the Flea Shot and pins Rose to win the title back.
Winner and NEW 4CW Hardcore Champion: Jack Valentine
Valentine gets to his feet, grabs the title, and brushes off his shoulder, before putting the title on it and walking away, relieved that he reclaimed his title. Finally, we have action back in the ring! Our main event tonight is Supreme vs Witch Hazel!
Singles match
Supreme vs Witch Hazel
This match started really well, but due to outside circumstances, was never able to reach it's full potential. Supreme and Hazel came out all guns blazing, and had a frenetic, high-reversal exchange going for a few minutes. It started with a headlock takedown from Supreme, which was then transitioned into a headscissors from Hazel, which Supreme rolled out of only to run into a Japanese arm drag from Hazel. Hazel then baseball slides under Supreme's legs and takes him out with a dropkick, and follows it up with Running With Scissors, but only gets a two count from the Hall of Famer opponent.
Hazel continues the attack with an attempt to send Supreme to the ropes, but he reverses and sends Hazel, and takes her out with a belly to belly suplex upon her return, opening up his own advantage. He follows up with a few more suplex, first two standards, and then a German, but is still only able to get a two count. Supreme sets up for the Supreme Annoyance, when suddenly his attention is distracted by Phil McGroin running to the ring with a steel chair! Supreme tries to beat McGroin to the punch, but takes a jab to the gut with the steel chair! McGroin then hits Hazel on the mat with the steel chair also! The referee throws the match out!
No Contest due to Phil McGroin interference
Phil McGroin hits Supreme with the steel chair for a second time, across the back, when TOMMY YOUNG breaks out from gorilla position with a steel chair of his own! He slides into the ring, McGroin swings wildly, Young ducks and runs to the ropes! McGroin spins around. Young throws the steel chair at McGroin, who tries to catch it while also holding his own, and Young takes out McGroin with a running dropkick that sends him crashing out of the ring and to the outside!
Young helps Hazel to her feet and the two faces interact with the crowd as the show comes to a close. What a show! And to think that was just a PREVIEW of Revival! Coming to you live, in just four days!
