PAC & AEW problems

Yeah, they have problems already. Some people are calling PAC a dick and pointing to him clearly having an attitude problem citing his WWE release as additional proof. Others are defending him saying they can't blame him given the nature of his WWE exit. So where do the 4W people stand?

-- The situation with PAC opting out of his scheduled match against Hangman Page doesn’t seem to be related to the outcome of the match itself, reports the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. In fact, PAC was scheduled to beat Page and the win was supposed to lead to bigger matches for him, likely including one against Kenny Omega.

— The plan from there was for Omega to beat PAC but with PAC holding the Open the Dream Gate title, he has gone on record to state that he wasn’t going to lose any matches while still holding that title. AEW then decided that rather than have a DQ or draw type finish, they wanted a definitive winner and with Page being positioned as a major star, he wasn't going to lose the match to PAC unless PAC vs. Omega, Chris Jericho or Cody was in the plans.

— PAC is not expected to be working for AEW anytime soon or at least until he drops the Dream Gate title because due to the style of wrestling AEW wants to push, they won’t be able to accommodate him if he is never going to lose.

I think it's an odd one. I mean, when is he going to drop the Dream Gate title? That's totally out of AEW's control. You'd have thought that they'd have gone through all this together before even annoucing the PAC vs Hangman Page match so someone here has changed their mind on something. I am hoping that they can work it all out eventually though, as PAC is class and would be a great asset to AEW.

Kinda sounds like someone whinging about having to lose somewhere down the line. Honestly, if someone came to me with that attitude i'd show him the door and wish him well with his future. People like that are not worth he aggravation of working with...

^^^^^^

Couldn’t agree more. This isn’t Hogan, Austin, or Cena you’re dealing with here. Nip it in the bud now and set a precedent.

See, I'd argue that even if it was, they should do the same. Nip it in the bud now and set a precedent. No favourites, your status is irrelevant and you all do as told. Don't do what TNA did and let people think they're bigger than the company and so can refuse to lose and book their own storylines regardless of how the company is doing.

I think AEW have done well with this in saying that he just won't appear for them until he loses that belt. They've not bowed down to him and let him just win every match like he seemingly wants, they've just removed him from the equation. Yeah he'll be a great asset, but they can also survive without him.
