Yeah, she's gained quite a following. I haven't seen a lot of her, because frankly last year's tournament was a bit meh. Hoping this year is better though.

Soooo my old wrestling friend turned super mega global sensation Toni Storm, (she wrestled as just Storm back in my day), is in the Mae Young Classic again. I hadn't heard she'd been signed to WWE NXT UK until watching this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2yacnc0SUwI and holy shit do you hear the crowd pop for her??? I knew she had a following, but the biggest pop of the line up? holy shitballs batman
Also she is tough as fuck. Her first match ever was against Brandy Alexander, who was one of the stiffest workers we had. She was like five foot nothing and threw potatoes for all non-face shots and went high for all of her clotheslines and hairpulled in every match, which is all like a borderline acceptable level of stiffness but when you face her in your first match, you're likely to leave a little bruised up. I had a match vs. Brandy once, if anyone feels like watching it here it is:
Her offence always looked great because she really did throw her strikes at full force.
Anyway Toni faced Brandy a bunch of times and took some sick beatdowns in her fist few matches and handled it like a true pro. She was tough as fuck at age 13, I can't imagine how hard she is now at 22.

The tapings of the prelims finished a couple days ago and she is in the final. Obviously really happy for her and hope she takes home the belt/trophy/whatevs lol. Super talented young women, she started wrestling at age 13. I wrestled on the same card as her in her first ever show 😄
