I thought he'd died already. He's a legend though who will forever be remembered for having his eye popped out during a match and still continuing... you certainly wouldn't see people continue like that these days!

Damn. I've been watching through old episodes of Raw and some PPVs in chronological order. I've done 1996 and am at Wrestlemania 13 now (1997). Vader's been there pretty much the whole way along. As a kid, I was always a Vader fan. I had the privilege of watching him perform live circa 1999, I think maybe in the summer. He put on a good performance and met with fans afterward, signing stuff and chatting away. I was way too shy to approach him, heh.
Sad news. May he rest in peace.
