His opinion matters why?
he also pretty much buried all of the women in wwe too.
Yeah Cena Sr is just a fan. Being a wrestler's dad doesn't make your opinion special.
Jinder Mahal as WWE Champion has run its course - but he's far from terrible tbh.

I think it has some relevance. He's been shown on TV a lot, been used in the occasional feud and is the dad of arguably their top guy. And he's ripping into one of the champions for not being good enough. If they'd never used him or only used him the once, then I'd agree. But he's been used enough for people to know him.
Also, it's true. There's been worse, like Khali, but he's mediocre at best IMO. Improved on the mic massively though.

He isn't wrong.

Maria Menounos has been used several times, including a WrestleMania match, but her opinion still isn't worth shit lol. She did more than Cena Sr ever did.

In addition to his take on Mahal, Cena Sr. also had some interesting comments in regards to many of WWE's top performers in the women's divisions on RAW and SmackDown Live.
Cena Sr. was critical of Sasha Banks complaining about the creative process behind-the-scenes on the WWE main roster, and also outright stated he wasn't impressed by Charlotte Flair or Alexa Bliss.
"If she [Sasha] has got what it takes to make it work, then use it while you have it," Cena Sr. said. "[And] I'm not a fan of Charlotte Flair's, I'll be right upfront with you."
Cena Sr. continued, "Alexa Bliss, what does she got? The looks and the body, that's about it. You know what? I'm gonna stop because I'm going to get myself in trouble."
His opinion means shit now. He has a point about Mahal. He has a point about Sasha. Not a fan of Charlotte though? She's better than most of the men on the roster. And Bliss isn't bad wrestling wise either. But not a fan of Charlotte? It's almost like he doesn't know what he's watching. Anyone can see that she has more talent than any of the other women and most men. Anyone... well, apart from old man Cena obviously who's opinion means shit.

There's many things I dislike about Charlotte. But to suggest her, along with Sasha and Alexa, are not talented, is ludicrous. He should stop now cos all he is is an internet smark bitching at this point.

I think he has a point, really. He doesn't look like he belongs once a match starts and he doesn't impress at all.
Not seen anyone comparing him to JBL though, as that's just stupid. They're nothing alike. JBL was a surprise choice when he won the title, sure. But he looked like he belonged and was actually so much better than anyone thought he would be.
