I was going to get one but Nintendo have put me off. First there was the price for what you get. Shouldn't be more than £200. Then there's the price of the games - they're more than AAA games on PC, Xbox and PlayStation. Ridiculous. And finally, the screen is plastic. Plastic. For a console that costs closer to £300. That's a joke.
There's loads of reports of people getting dead pixels. Nintendo's response was that it's not a fault and people need to just accept it. Er, no. It's a fault. They've picked cheap LCD screens and charging a fortune for them. If you get dead pixels on monitors you can return them as faulty as they are faulty. Just not according to Nintendo who don't want to to admit that they skimped on the screen. Now LCD screens do get dead pixels, it happens. But the quality ones get them less because they're obviously built better. The amount of people that have had dead pixels from the first time they turned it on just shows the quality that Nintendo used. For the price they're charging, they need to do better.
My fiance got one, on launch day if I remember correctly, and we haven't had any major problems with it at all. We have Breath of the Wild and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Looked at Snipperclips and are seriously considering ARMS but the big release coming for us is Super Mario Odyssey. Good god that game looks great.
I want one. Stocks are still ridiculously low. They come out, at your standard £280 price. All sell out quick and are then available second hand for over £300 whilst more stock is waited for which is has been months between so far.
I want one in time for the new Metroid game. Was always a great game and so have high hopes for it on the Switch.

We may as well have a thread for it though I doubt anyone has bought it yet.
Nintendo has a new console, the Nintendo Switch.
Here's what Wikipedia says about it and how it works, because it will explain better than I can:
Obviously the only major release for the Switch so far has been the new Zelda game, Breath of the Wild, and that's getting major "best of all time" types of reviews. The limited library and opening cost of this thing (£279/$299) will put alot of people off but I think a year down the line, when they have a bigger library, they'll get a second wind of sales. I know that's when I'll be buying it.
What are your initial thoughts on the console?
