This month is the one year anniversary of the new brand split. How does everyone think its going so far? I think its going fairly well, I enjoy have two live shows to watch each week. Or did for a while, even though wrestling is getting kind of boring for me at the moment, I like having two shows with different stuff happening. My favorite has been Smackdown because its easier to take in. They try to make new stars or give ones that had nothing going on something to do. Also a greater importance has been placed on the US and IC titles since the brand split I'd say.  I enjoy that we have more PPVs now also, gives us a chance to what people can do in the ring when given longer matches, people that wouldn't have gotten the chance without the brand split.

The negatives though are that Raw gets all the major stars and returning stars. All the major moments happen on Raw like anything to do with Lesnar or like when Goldberg came back. I understand why, but why not try something major on Smackdown like that? The women have been effected by it alot too. Together they were a strong division, but with the limited amount of workers they had, splitting the roster made both divisions seem very small. When the shakeup happened Smackdown lost most of its stars also and didn't get that many in return. They put the Miz on Raw, who was reinventing himself on Smackdown and looked to be on his way to challenge for the title. Also took Bray away, who was finally getting some time to shine with a world title run and major angles. They took Ambrose away, who was one of the most popular dudes on Smackdown. Their game plan to replace these guys seems to be try to convince us that Jinder should be a World Champion and debut Shinsuke Nakamura as a top star. We'll see how that goes.

I prefer the WWE post brand split than WWE prebrand split all in all.

The brand split has been better than expected, but there are some annoyances that indicate they didn't learn from the last one.

We've already had Orton wrestle a Raw PPV despite being a Smackdown guy. No reason for that at all. Wasn't a title match and Bray moving brands should have just ended that feud which wasn't good anyway.

And now they're going with Cena being a "free agent" just to have him on both shows. Was surprised to see this happen twice within the first year and it gives cause for concern. One of their biggest flaws previously was not sticking to the split and it became meaningless. So happening twice within the first year isn't a great start.

Womens divisions have been shown to be weak as fuck. But I'm happy that they're addressing that with the womens tournament coming up where hopefully a load get signed to make the divisions much better.

The  Miz has been a huge highlight and it's allowed some younger guys to step up as well which is good. You almost get the feeling that some more NXT guys could step up and not get lost in the shuffle because there were too many people to show - that's the big positive of the brand split. They had built a big roster and the guys with potential just wouldn't have been able to progress to main event status, where they can now.

Smackdown is definitely the better show. I still can't buy into three hours of Raw. It's too much.

I think it's been alright. There's been highs and lows and some just bizarre stuff. Overall though, it's highlighted more people and that's the point of it. I much prefer the brands split than the SuperShow crap.

I'd say in general SD is better but both brand have produced garbage shows now and again. Hopefully they can work the kinks out and have a better second year.

Back in the old brand split superstars crossed brands almost weekly from like 07 onwards it seemed. Two times in one year isn't really a problem for me. Also one of the incidents was a match booked before the shake up. If it was a huge thing that happened frequently I would be more bothered by it.
