WWE Extreme Rules 2017 - Raw PPV

This is shaping up to be a great PPV on paper.

Yeah it's looking good so far. Only disappointment is that once again there's no Universal Title on the show. I'm not even excited about Brock coming back because him being champion is such a waste of the belt and Raw suffers for it. Still, good looking PPV so far.

Also disappointed that there's only 2 weeks between them. Back onto too many PPVs. I get why with the brand splits, but it leaves an awful lot of wrestling to watch. At least it's all on the Network and not costing me money through Sky.

My only slight disappointment is that I find it silly that they moved both Ambrose and mix to raw just so that they can continue their same feud on raw. Like I said, minor complaint. Over all should be a fun show though.

I think that's just a case of putting them in a placeholder until they have their next feuds lined up. It's a little annoying for sure but understandable.

Balor will probably win the Fatal 5 Way. I don't know if I want him getting fed to Lesnar though lol. I'd say they should wait till Summerslam, but they probably have something bigger planned for Brock at Summerslam. Depends how much they believe in Finn though I guess.

5. There's actually not much to this PPV. It's a shame that the main event isn't elimination style. They either have a lot of filler planned, or most of the matches will get some good time. Just not excited for this PPV really. It's missing a match, which should involve the Universal Title. Not sure how they thought putting the title on Brock was a good thing given how infrequently he's around.

Was actually a better PPV than I thought it would be, which was nice.

Ambrose vs The Miz was good, but they always seem to have good matches together. The ref was pretty dumb at the end. Why would he assume that Ambrose went into him on purpose when he could lose the title that way? Just dumb. Happy with the result though, Miz is a better champion.

Didn't realise there was going to be a mixed tag match on the show. Don't like them anyway and it wasn't a good match.

The womens match was just a failure. Bayley looked like an idiot when she should have wailed on Bliss with the kendo stick but for some reason didn't. The whole match just didn't work though. They've ruined Bayley and they need to move her on from this feud now. Really have to.

So the tag titles match was escape rules only with both guys having to exit? Not a fan of that, but it allows the Hardys to lose the belts without being pinned. Was a good match though, but the problems of being exit only were evident throughout with constant attempts to climb the cage, which takes away from the match and doesn't add the drama you'd hope it would.

Cruiserweight match was good. No surprise given the two people in it. Not sure what they're going to do with Aries now though,  because he surely can't stay in the title picture after yet another loss. He seems to have faced Perkins a lot as well. Maybe move him to NXT properly or something, get him out of the cruiserweight division.  Nice to see Neville getting a good reign though.

Excellent main event. Brought the whole event up another level. Surprised to see Samoa Joe pick up the win. Really was a good main event. 5 man matches aren't the easiest and people can sometimes get lost in them, but they all seemed to work their asses off and everything clicked together nicely.

I thought it was a dull PPV. Although the main event was amazing, was glad to see Samoa Joe get a shot at the Universal Title. No way is he going to win though. They completely destroyed Bayley's character last night. Like she looked like a jobber last night. If I'm not mistaken she was getting some boos also. The cage match was ok. The opener was alright. Aries vs. Neville was alright. The mixed tag team match was filler. There wasnt much that stuck out on this PPV besides the main event tbh. Also what was with that drifter segment?

Oh it was all forgettable bar the main event. Most matches weren't too bad, the kind of level I've come to expect from WWE. Sadly, there's been better matches on Raw between most of these people, so they didn't up their game for it. That's it I think, it was like an episode of Raw but with less filler and a PPV worthy main event. Had worse PPV's, sure we'll see worse this year still. Pretty mid level. Can deal with that.

Yeah, I heard some boos for Bayley. They've ruined her. She was dull as champion because they had her come out and repeat the same thing every week. Then they made her dull when challenging for the title. Ruined her. I fully expect her to be on Smackdown this time next year. She was proper jobbed out in 5 minutes of a title match. They should never have given it such a shit stipulation as that just made it worse.

The drifter? You mean Elias Samson? Yeah, not someone I'm looking forward to seeing more off. That really was something I'd expect to see on Raw, not a PPV.

Some boos?  It sounded like the majority were booing her.  Also, the match made zero sense.  Why was Alexa able to use the Kendo Stick.  Their own rules stated that whoever got the kendo stick first gets to use it legally.  At this point they should send Bayley to SD.  Only way to redeem her.

Bayley is done. They spent four weeks burying her, and if she had won last night, it would have made sense, but she didn't win. She didn't even look good in losing. She just got buried and jobbed and I will never take her seriously as a contender or champion again. She's done. Pack her off back to NXT cos I think that's the only place she's getting over again, if anything. Why the hell after building up that she can't get extreme for weeks, did they not allow her to get extreme? She didn't have one shot with that kendo stick. Who wrote this and thought, "This is a good idea and tells a good story"... no it was a glorified jobber feud. Bayley has looked pathetic for a month and no wonder the fans are turning on her.

That astrocity aside, it was a decent PPV. Miz/Ambrose was very good, the main event was great, the other matches were passable and not bad by any means. Overall, the show was pretty forgettable though, besides that great main event match.

Going to go watch this in a bit. Couldn't help but read spoilers. Bayley is ruined. Doesn't help that she's stuck with an incredibly cheesy gimmick that doesn't work well on the main roster. Writing has been so poor for her.
