I had the young white gangsta wannabe look in my head. Totally no offense meant by that. Just an impression I got.

Nope. Just a big, dark guy.

Rhys, you look too young to have a baby. It's cool that you do, though. Being a dad is the most important and awesome thing I have ever done.

Too true. It sounds lame, and single, non-dads fear it like the plague, but it is.

I love being a Dad. But I'm not as young as I look. I just turned 22.

Almost God like? Maybe...

I don't want kids for a long time. Having a 20 year old gf is hard enough!

If you are on the fence about something like this, don't fucking do it. You can cause some real damage. I don't want to see Chux raise a murderer because he can't "do the kid thing" haha. And Hilds, having a baby is way easier than having a 20 year old girlfriend.

Yeah, um, no it's not. It's just about as expensive, though.

I've had both and I could better handle a baby than a 20 year old girl. Too much drama for me. I'll change diapers all day rather than listen to all the "important" stuff a 20 year old girl talks about. Sex is only worth so much.....

Gotta agree with Mikey. Your child could spend all day every day driving you insane and you'd still love them unconditionally. Same can't be said for a girlfriend. 😋

But with the girlfriend you wouldn't be driven insane all day. Unconditional love means you have to put up with some really shitty things. I'd rather have the conditional love.

Oh, I'm not so sure. Girlfriends are pretty good at driving you insane all day sometimes.

Well, mine is great.  All the benefits of a 20 year old body, with hardly any of the drawbacks of a 20 year old mind.  She's my retirement plan as she'll be working another 10 years after I retire, and when she retired I'll be dead so it's win/win really.

Definitely, but only sometimes. Kids are loud, demanding, obnoxious and completely unintelligible, and I find nothing more irritating than repetition, which they thrive on. The vast majority of girl problems can be sorted with enough "aww, that really sucks," or just waited out. Plus you can choose a girl who won't give you too much hassle and/or dump one who does, whereas kids are guaranteed and unavoidable work.

But that's just me, and I'm selfish. Anyone who can enjoy parenthood, good for you. I guess.

I'm with Chux 100% on this. I don't mind kids, I love my nephew... but I don't have to deal with him all the time. A fe minutes is fine. No interest in being a dad myself though. Everyone I know who's had one has changed, they hardly go out or have any money. I like doing what I want. If I want to spend £100 on a new DC Comics statue then I can, as I have no worries about money. If I decide that I want to go cinema within the next 10 minutes, I can. Selfish, but I'm happy.

I think the best way I can describe it is when it's your own kid, you just don't mind dealing with them all the time. Kids may be loud, demanding, obnoxious but they are also kind, loving, willing to learn and hilarious.

I don't think it's selfish not to have kids. It's your choice at the end of the day. But I would recommend it to anyone. I think it's great.

By the way, I think it's hilarious how we all spammed up the "post a picture" thread with a parenting debate.

I think you've stumbled on something there. I hate being around kids as much as I hate being around drugs, which I'd never associated with each other until now. They're both things that only one person actually enjoys. To everyone else what you're doing is completely inane, but the person involved thinks it's the best thing ever and wants everyone else to try it out.

Next time I see Fish around here I'll think of him as proud parent instead of a stoner gimmick.

The Blue Print

I'm excited to raise a kid. But I wouldnt want to have one atm. Not with the financial situation I'm in.. Also kinda makes me wonder if I want to bring someone into this world as it currently stands. But if I raise him to be rich!!! All benefits me there 😄 jk .. seriously... need a dishwasher badly

Hehey, good for you Snakey, she's pretty and you look happy! 🙂

Thanks buddy.. and yup i'm the happiest i have been since i was like 20.

Kids!!!!

Kidssss

It's something i look forward to... being a dad.

But right now is not the time for it, we have things we need to do first before adding a baby to the mix, my girlfriend has two kids already so she has expirence with that... while i still learn... but it's been useful as there are new babies in my family over the past 2 years... and the house has kids around a lot so i'm learning and while i get pissed at the older kids quite often its never too bad.... besides it gives me someone to talk to about comics and video games. 😄 it is different though saying no you can't play that game it's not for kids (hitman GTA) or you can't go online with the chat feature turned on it has to be on mute (COD)

I think it's not time yet but will be eventually... until then i'm just a regular snako in da grass.

Mikey it sounds like you are a great dad... good stuff.... and Rhys i'm happy that you are happy with your baby.

It's funny cause we all pretty much grew up on this site together... so this stuff kinda makes me smile.

Never say Never Chux.

Here's a picture of me begging for Beer at Coney Island's Mermaid Day Parade.

A picture of me a few years ago, I think I'm 18 here.

And the kid argument. I like children, I'd want kids of my own. But I'd want the traditional nuclear family, I don't want to be seprated from the child's mother and I especially don't want to have to jump through loopholes to get to see them. I want a house, then a wife and then kids. I know that's what everyone wants though.

I want a wife then a house, then kids. Pretty similar though, but that's probably because i'm really happy with my girlfriend right now, so why not make her my wife, or something like that. I'm not getting any younger.
