What's up with Lex' eye on the poster? really trying to go with that tales from the crypt/EC  vibe with that poster.

Singles Match
Doug Gilbert (w/Eddie Gilbert) vs. The Great Muta (w/Gary Hart)
--This was a squash match that lasted three minutes. Junkyard Dog was supposed to be Muta's opponent but he no-showed. D.

Singles Match
Butch Reed vs. Ranger Ross.
--Booooooring. D.

Bullrope Match
Bob Orton (w/Gary Hart) vs. Dick Murdoch
--Nice little beat down at the end of the match but still, booooooring. D.

Tag Team Match
The Dynamic Dudes (Johnny Ace & Shane Douglas) vs. The Samoan Swat Team (Fatu & Samu) (w/Paul E. Dangerously)
--This was the first match that was somewhat decent. I'll give it a C.

NWA United States Heavyweight Title Match
Lex Luger (c) vs. Michael Hayes (w/Hiro Matsuda)
--Match quality started improving from here. This one was pretty decent, better than the match before it. C.

NWA World Television Title Match
Sting (c) vs. The Iron Sheik (w/Rip Morgan)
--Another squash match although it was a bit more entertaining than the earlier squash. D.

NWA World Heavyweight Title Match
Ricky Steamboat (c) vs. Ric Flair
--This match was absolutely superb. Genuinely, one of the greatest matches I've ever seen. Absolute classic. Probably the best match I've ever seen from Flair. A+, without a doubt.

NWA World Tag Team Title Match (Special Referee: Nikita Koloff)
The Varsity Club (Mike Rotunda & Steve Williams) (w/Kevin Sullivan) (c) vs. The Road Warriors (Road Warrior Animal & Road Warrior Hawk) (w/Paul Ellering)
--Kinda weird they didn't end the show with Steamboat v Flair and it did make me not really care about the matches after. This one ended in DQ if I recall correctly and was pretty average. C.

NWA United States Tag Team Title Match
Eddie Gilbert & Rick Steiner (w/Missy Hyatt) (c) vs. The Varsity Club (Dan Spivey & Kevin Sullivan)
--I barely watched this match. Again, this was originally a hair v hair match but they scrapped the stipulation cos Sullivan didn't want to do the job. It was just boring. They really should have ended the show with Flair v Steamboat so this didn't feel like tacked on filler. D.

Overall, this was essentially a two match show. The two matches being Hayes v Luger and Flair v Steamboat. Most of the rest of it was sleep induced boredom. However as a whole, I'll give the show a C grade.
