A few of us have got together and watched a PPV (kind of like a book club but with PPVs) with the idea we can do it every week and leave our reviews/thoughts on the show here. This week: WWE Vengeance 2002!

This was a really solid PPV from start to finish. About 45 mins of the PPV was a bit lame with an overlong HHH promo - and the not so great Tag Title match but every other match on the card was pretty good and some were great. Match of the night was certainly the main event for me although Lesnar v RVD, Elimination Tables match and Booker T vs Big Show were highlights too.

Overall, it was an enjoyable PPV, I'm gonna give it a B.

2002 is probably my favourite year in wrestling. I can't remember a bad PPV that year and so much happened throughout the year. Good times.

The Blue Print

Tables Elimination Match: Bubba Ray and Spike Dudley vs Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit - What a match this was to open the show. Just an overall awesome bout. It kind of surprised me, but given the people in it, it really shouldn't have. Some awesome table bumps in this one too. Awesome match.

Cruiserweight Title: Jamie Noble (w/Nidia) (c) vs Billy Kidman - Really good cruiserweight title match here. Man I miss Jamie Noble. These two really put on a good show out there.

European Title: Jeff Hardy (c) vs William Regal - This was a very short match, but for the length it was solid. Hardy was super over man. He's always been super over. I wish these two could have gotten more time. I guess we had to save time though for a certain long ass segment earlier int he show.

Chris Jericho vs John Cena - Rookie John Cena here vs. veteran Chris Jericho. I must say Cena has really came a long way since this match. It was an okay match, but Cena's greenness really showed. But Jericho was able to make this into a passable match up.

Intercontinental Title: RVD (c) vs Brock Lesnar (w/Paul Heyman) - I thought this match was awesome. RVD is a perfect person for Lesnar to go against. RVD has that unique offense. Just an overall fun match to watch.

No Disqualification: Big Show vs Booker T - This was a surprisingly fun match. Not masterpiece of ringwork though. But it had a bunch of cool spots and Booker T won with a houston hangover. What more can you ask for?

Triple H segment - It was a segment where he was deciding if he was going to Raw or Smackdown. Boy did this drag on forever. HBK came out and blah blah blah. Boring segment. Went on way to long. Triple H wouldnt have it any other way!

Tag Team Titles: Hulk Hogan & Edge (c) vs Unamericans (Christian & Lance Storm) - Talk about a match I don't care about. This was boring. Weird seeing Hogan work with such undercard people.

Undisputed Title: The Undertaker (c) vs Kurt Angle vs The Rock - Holy shit this match tore down the house. Just a great fast paced match up. Instant classic for real. This was the match of the night. Did not disappoint one bit.

What a good PPV this was. Way better than Road Wild last week.
