Was just reading about this. Absolutely nuts. Correct place to attack though if they want maximum damage to the country as well as maximum publicity. Good job that place is very well guarded with security taken seriously. Well, it will be even more now. That's a one time deal.
At least it wasn't the actual Palace. I think it would be very difficult to actually do anything to that - highly doubt terrorists would be able to get to it. The gates are the closest they'd get with a car and rightly so as those gates will be reinforced to deal with most things, and anyone stepping through the gates that isn't supposed to just gets put down no questions asked.
And it's all kicking off now. A woman has died and no one can leave Parliament as they believe that the car has a bomb in it. Makes me glad I live no where near London. Will be hell trying to get home from work for a lot of people.
I was confused as fuck a moment ago because of this. Westminster Palace? Didn't know the Houses of Parliament was a palace. I was sat here like "Westminster Palace? You mean Buckingham Palace right? There's no fucking Westminster Palace". Seems I was wrong lol. Ah well.
It's crazy though. Clearly planned as all the MPs were in there so knew the time to attack. Makes me happy that he was put down. Feel sorry for anyone caught up in it, not just the injured but all the people that will not struggle to get home because of it.

On the bright side, seven people have been arrested in raids following it. All people who the believe are linked to the guy. Hopefully stops any further attacks. I've been surprised at the press as well. The police asked them not to look into who he is and print his name as it would ruin their immediate plans for dealing with it, and from what I can tell the press have actually followed police orders for once.

Exactly, it makes a nice change. The press are usually all over it and potentially ruin plans, let people know things that they shouldn't. It's good to see them hold back like asked and let the police and government do their job unimpeded by them for once.
A shooting in central Lille has left 'at least three wounded' and sparked fears of a terror attack coming days after a man attacked a policeman at Paris Orly airport.
It is unclear who carried out the attack and whether or not it is still ongoing.
Armed police have sealed off roads into the city centre as they try to contain the situation.
French reports say there were several shots fired near the Porte d'Arras metro station at around 9.50pm.
At least three people were injured, including a 14-year-old.
