GWA Blaze
Week 6
Live from Cardiff, Wales

Cold open for a change. The show starts with a long, echoing "AWEEEESOMMMMEEEE!!" and out comes the winner of last week's Asylum match - The Miz! Whether the fans are booing or cheering, he takes it all in, having just got the biggest reaction of his GWA career.

Mick Foley: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to GWA Blaze! We are live on the first night of our UK Tour, right here, in Cardiff, Wales!

Miz gets into the ring and grabs a mic from ringside.

The Miz: A reality TV show needs three things to be succesful: unique characters, a good format and of course, the swerves. Unique characters such as that of yours truly; my name is The Miz and I am the ratings generator... thanks for watching. A good format such as that of my career; I've won many championships, despite everyone saying I would never do make it. I've had a lot of success and I go into my matches with a gameplan that always pays off... and of course the swerve, such as that of last night's Asylum match where I WALKED OUT WITH THE ASYLUM BRIEFCASE!

The Miz raises his arm in the air and down from the ceiling, in a Kennedy-esque move, comes the briefcase. It reaches Miz, who unhooks it and raises it into the air.

The Miz: None of you expected me to walk out with this! Not one of you went into the match rooting for me. And that's because I am underestimated, I am looked over, but I always make it happen regardless... you disagree? Remember that Four Corners Contest we had all those months ago? Guess who's team won? That's right, the team that I was in. Our very own GWA General Manager used to an active competitor in GWA -  guess who has victories over him? That's right, me! And now, I hold in my hand the power to take this reality show called The Miz into WrestleWars II and make Miztory by becoming the GWA Champion!

While The Miz basks in his self-claimed awesomeness, he is interrupted by none other than thw GWA Champion himself, Daniel Bryan! The champ heads to the ring and The Miz is sporting a mischievous smirk. Bryan grabs a mic.

Daniel Bryan: Hey Miz, how's it going?

The Miz: Not too bad. Glad I bumped into you actually, I was watching your match last week at the Asylum and I couldn't help but notice you could improve your moveset. I'd be happy to give you a few pointers, champ.

Daniel Bryan: That's really funny, Miz. Keep up the comedy act... but I'm here to tell you something and I'm very serious about it, so you may want to, for the first time in your life, shut your mouth and open your ears...

The Miz smirks but doesn't reply.

Daniel Bryan: You see, if you saw my match, then you would have seen that once again, I came out on top over the biggest loser in this company, Paul Burchill. That idiot has been a thorn in my side for so long and now he has no excuses not to crawl back into the hole where he came from. And after my match with Burchill, I was excited. I was looking forward to a fresh, new challenger - see Miz, I'm the best wrestler in the world, and I would happily defend this title every week to prove it. So when I saw you grab that briefcase ... well, I was a little disappointed. I guess it's a bittersweet thing really - bitter that I have to defend this title against yet another loser - but hey, at least it's an easy title defense.

The Miz goes to speak but Bryan cuts him off.

Daniel Bryan: I'm not finished Miz. You see, I'm a winner. You probably wouldn't know what a winner is, so let me explain to you. It's a guy who has continued success in everything he does. He does things that can be considered a win. Like becoming the first ever GWA Triple Crown Champion, you know, things like that... and -

But we don't get to hear what Bryan wanted to say as there is another interruption; this one, the GM of GWA, Booker T! He comes out on stage with a mic.

Booker T: First of all, I want to congratulate The Miz on winning The Asylum and you will challenge for the GWA Heavyweight Championship at WrestleWars II. But honestly, it was Bryan's words that made me want to come out here.

Bryan raises his eyebrow, curious as to what Booker wants.

Booker T: I think you said, and I'm paraphrasing here dawg, "I'm the best wrestler in the world and I'll gladly defend the title every week to prove it," - well, considering you said that, Bryan, I'm going to give you the opportunity to prove you are the best in the world - because you are defending that GWA Championship - tonight!

Bryan frowns at the news.

Booker T: You see, I got a lot of guys in the back just dying to get a chance at you and that title, Bryan. And so tonight, I'm gonna give one of them the opportunity. Tonight, you will defend the GWA Championship - against BROCK LESNAR! Now can you dig that, SUCKA?!!?!?!

Mick Foley: Ladies and gentlemen, what a huge main event! It's Bryan v Lesnar for the GWA Championship - tonight! Don't go anywhere, as when we come back, hometown hero Mason Ryan will defend the TV Championship!

~Commercial Break~

Match One - GWA TV Championship
Mason Ryan (c) v Kenny Omega w/Bret Hart

Bret Hart's protege, Kenny Omega, has a huge opportunity to make a big impact tonight. He struggles at first - with Ryan being the much bigger man but soon the Asylum match from a week previous begins to take its toll on the welsh star. Omega gets more offense in, trying to keep the big man down. He hits a lot of dropkicks and clotheslines, and manages to keep Ryan in a kneeling position for a little while, but the big man hits a Spinebuster to get back into the match. He then sets up Omega for a Sit-Out Powerbomb, when suddenly, Kevin Steen runs down the ramp! He jumps on the apron, screaming at Ryan. Ryan releases Omega and hits Steen, knocking him off the apron - and then turns to Omega - who hits a quick DDT! Ryan recovers slowly and gets to his knees, which Omega takes as an opportunity and executes the Ex Hadouken (high impact double palm thrust to the face) - and then hooks the leg to get the 1...2...3!
Winner and NEW TV Champion: Kenny Omega

Omega rolls out of the ring and Bret Hart hands him the TV Championship. He lifts it into the air and then embraces Hart, finally winning some GWA gold. He raises Bret Hart's hand. On the other side of the ring, Steen has a wicked smile on his face as Ryan recovers and stares a hole through him. Steen doesn't give Ryan an opportunity to go after him and leaves up the ramp, still smiling as he goes into gorilla, while the fans are crazy mad after their hometown hero was screwed out of his title.

We cut backstage, to the interview area, and finally we have an interviewer! Joey Styles is ready with none other than The Current Big Thing, Brock Lesnar!

Joey Styles: Ladies and gentlemen, I'm here live with none other than Brock Lesnar! Brock, tonight, you have a GWA Championship match against Daniel Bryan! What are your thoughts?

Brock Lesnar: I'm not going to waste my time spending ten minutes explaining what I think of the match. It`s simply. I want the GWA Championship. Daniel Bryan has the GWA Championship. Tonight, I beat Daniel Bryan and I take the GWA Championship. Is that clear enough?

Before Styles can even reply, Lesnar leaves the interview area, his point being made. Styles sends us back to the ring to get the next match underway.

Match Two - Singles Match
Ryback v Willie Mack

Mack takes Ryback a little by surprise in the early going, trying to pile on the early offense but after a little while Ryback finds his feet. He turns it around and takes out Mack with a Backpack Stunner, following it up with the Shellshocked for a speedy victory.
Winner: Ryback

Ryback grabs his newly-won UK Title and raises it in the air after the match. He is as intense as ever, screaming "Ryback Rules!" and "Feed Me More!" until Sheamus makes his way out on to the stage.

Sheamus: You know why I'm out here, Ruyback. I want you, in a match for tha` toitle. So what do you say, fella?

Ryback: ...DONE!

Ryback raises the title again as his music plays and Sheamus stares a hole through him.

Mick Foley: These two guys don't like eachother one bit - and Ryback has just accepted a match with Sheamus for the UK Title! As soon as Booker T lets us know when this match will take place, we'll let you know but - well, I'm being told that Mason Ryan is in Booker T's office - let's see what's going on.

We cut backstage to Booker T's office. Mason Ryan is indeed there and he's also raging, barking at Booker T about his grievances.

Mason Ryan: ..sick and tired of that asshole. He cost me the title and I'm not letting that go. I want him in a match - tonight!

Booker T: Dawg, I understand you're pissed, but I ain't putting your health, or anyone elses at risk by double booking. You've already competed tonight, ya dig? I gotta look after my talent man.

Mason Ryan: Jesus, Booker... alright, I'll be back in this office next week - and I don`t care what happens - I want Steen in the ring. So make it happen. And when he gets in that ring with me, he's going to wish he'd never messed with me.

Ryan storms out of the office without another word and Booker shakes his head as we cut to commercial.

~Commercial Break~

Match Three - GWA Womens Championship
Raquel Diaz (c) v Paige

After her victory over Emma at the Asylum, the Womens Champion Diaz has a new challenger this week in the form of new diva Paige. Paige shows some good offense and promosing potential, but ultimately her lack of match experience costs her the match as Diaz takes advantage of an opportunity to roll her up and gain a cheeky pin.
Winner and STILL Womens Champion: Raquel Diaz

Raquel Diaz rolls out of the ring and grabs the title. She shakes her head and shoos away Paige with her hand as if she wasn't good enough competition for a champion of her calibre.

Mick Foley: Diaz picks up a victory but Paige really didn't show her true potential. I think that with time and experience, we could see a much improved Paige! Coming up next, ladies and gents, the Tag Team Champions are in action!

We cut away to a video package. It shows a bunch of code on screen, until the letters "Y2J" bold out. The rest of the code disappears and "Coming Soon" appears underneath.

Match Four - Tag Team Match
The PrimeTime Players v American Wolves

With the PrimeTime Players still champions after defending against The Usos, the #1 contender spot is open. American Wolves are given an opportunity to fill it in a match against the champions without the titles in the line. The match goes back and forth but eventually it's Young who hits the match-ender as he takes out Edwards with a Fireman's Carry Gutbuster for the victory.
Winners: The PrimeTime Players

Mick Foley: The PrimeTime Players pick up another victory, against the American Wolves this time, and it'll be interesting to see which tag team does step forward as the new #1 contenders!

Young and O'Neil walk to the top of the ramp, before doing a Millions O' Dollas dance and then we cut backstage. We are in Booker's office when he is joined by Daniel Bryan!

Booker T: Daniel, Daniel, Daniel... wassup, dawg?

Daniel Bryan: Booker, great show tonight... you've booked some great matches... and I, as a fighting champion, would relish the chance to face Lesnar tonight - but unfortunately, you're going to have to cancel the match.

Booker T: Is that so?

Daniel Bryan: Yeah. I was talking to my personal physician, and he says I'm still not 100% after my match against Burchill last week.

Booker T: Huh... is your personal physician under contract with GWA?

Daniel Bryan: Well, no...

Booker T: Well then, I guess I don't give a crap what he says. GWA doctors have said you're cleared to wrestle - so the match tonight is happening, whether you like it or not ... although, if I were you, I'd start getting ready for your match - Lesnar's a big cat - you saw what he did to Rhyno last night - you need to prepare yourself, sucka.

Bryan scowls, furious at Booker's refusal to call off the match.

Daniel Bryan: Fine. I'll have the damn match... but as long as there's breath in my body Lesnar isn't leaving with shit tonight.

Bryan storms out of the office as we cut to commercial.

~Commercial Break~

Match Five - Singles Match
The Miz v MVP

In his first match since winning The Asylum, Miz wants to win quick and easy - but MVP isn't going to job out to no-one. MVP controls the match, keeping up a good level of offense and getting a few near falls but soon Miz gets into the swing of things and gets some good moves in himself including a neckbreaker and a Northern Lights Suplex. MVP doesn't give up though and continues to fight, even going as far as to hitting the Player's Boot, but Miz somehow manages to kick out. Frustrated, Miz gets serious, and after a smart reversal to a wild MVP clothesline, Miz locks in the Figure Four Leg Lock! MVP takes the pain for a short while but eventually has no choice to tap.
Winner: The Miz

Mick Foley: Miz picks up an impressive victory over MVP to gain some momentum heading into WrestleWars ... well hold on, the match is over but The Miz still hasn't released that Figure Four Leg Lock!

Miz still has the hold locked in and is still applying pressure - realising he isn't going to let go, MVP takes matters into his own hands and sits up, reaching over and slapping The Miz straight across the face. Miz releases the hold and MVP holds his legs in agony, but he doesn't get much rest as Miz grabs his face, screaming at him that he is the next GWA Champion and MVP is nothing. Miz then slaps MVP across the face and continues to do so a few times. This continue until Brodus Clay runs down to the ring. He slides in and Miz steps back, and the two look at eachother, waiting for the other to make a move. Then as MVP uses the ropes to lift himself up, Clay grabs him and takes him out with a belly-to-belly!

Mick Foley: And now Brodus Clay is attacking MVP! What is this?!

The Miz grabs a mic from ringside and he raises Clay's hand.

The Miz: Ladies and gentlemen, Brodus Clay! In case you are all wondering, I invited him here tonight when I heard he had signed a contract for GWA. Brodus and I go way back... anyway, like I said on the top of this show, I am the ratings generator. When I'm on screen, people tune in. They can't help it. I'm just that entertaining! Now for every ratings generator like me, there are ratings killers like MVP. He's basically filling a spot on the roster than Brodus Clay was, until now, missing out on. Now Brodus and I have decided that we should make an example of these wasters. And we aren't the only ones with the same mindset. Before I go, I want to introduce to you - Xavier Woods and Zack Ryder!

Woods and Ryder make their way down to the ring. MVP starts to come around but is taken out by Ryder with the Rough Ryder at the first opportunity. As if that isn't enough, Woods takes out MVP with a moonsault.

The Miz: We are the saviours of the ratings... we will dispose of the boring and the useless and the wasters. If you can't get people to tune in, you don't get to be a part of Miz TV. You can call us Big Brother - this is now OUR house... and at WrestleWars II, the GWA Championship is coming to Big Brother. In the meantime, we are always watching. If someone doesn't belong in Big Brother's house, they will be evicted. Just like M..V..P!

Miz stands over MVP, who is finally out after the selection of brutal moves he withstood.

Mick Foley: Well it seems like The Miz has gotten himself some friends! I guess miracles do happen! And they have this mentality that they own this "house" and will decide who run free in it. But I know two men who will have something to say about that - and one of them could well be Miz's opponent at WrestleWars! They will do battle next, it's Daniel Bryan vs Brock Lesnar - and it's for the GWA Heavyweight Championship! Don't go anywhere!

~Commercial Break~

Main Event - GWA Championship
Daniel Bryan (c) v Brock Lesnar

Despite his best efforts, Bryan is thrown about the ring like a rag doll in the opening stages. Lesnar takes him to each corner, using shoulder barges to the gut and lefts and rights to wear down the champion. Lesnar then continues to dominate with a few slams and suplexes and a Military Press Slam. Bryan uses his speed to avoid some moves and does his best to hurt the Beast. At one point, he gets Lesnar to his knees and starts some kicks, hitting a total of fourteen and hitting a fifteenth as a roundhouse to the head but Lesnar still manages to kick out. Bryan goes up top for the Diving Headbutt, but Lesnar avoids it and sends Bryan crashing to the mat. Lesnar takes out Bryan with a German Suplex and then sets up for an F-5! He lifts up the champion - turns slightly - and gets hit with a GORE! GORE! GORE!! Rhyno appears out of nowhere and takes out the Beast with a massive Gore. The referee calls for the bell.
Winner: Brock Lesnar via DQ
Still GWA Heavyweight Champion: Daniel Bryan

Rhyno jumps up and roars to the crowd. Meanwhile, Bryan is on the outside as the referee hands him the GWA Championship. Bryan still doesn't seem 100% with it but he realises that despite his DQ loss, he is still the champion and that's enough for him to leave happy. Rhyno stands over Lesnar as the end of show logo appears at the bottom of the screen.

Mick Foley: Bryan is still the champion! But I think the bigger news perhaps is that Lesnar, who looked to be seconds away from becoming champion, has been taken out by Rhyno! Rhyno was viciously attacked by Lesnar inside the Asylum! He was hit with three F5s and this seems to be his revenge! We're out of time, but thank you for joining us! Have a nice day!

Quick Results:
-GWA Heavyweight: Brock Lesnar def Daniel Bryan (c) via DQ - Bryan retains.
-The Miz def MVP
-The PrimeTime Players def American Wolves
-GWA Womens: Raquel Diaz (c) def Paige to retain
-Ryback def Willie Mack
-GWA Television: Kenny Omega def Mason Ryan (c) to win the title
