Heard that WWE were looking to do this a few weeks ago. Nice that the Cruiserweights are going to get some more time, as they've been quite limited on Raw apart from the title scene. I guess this means that we won't be getting the Cruiserweight Classic again next year, even though it was advertised as a yearly event. I hope they keep it around as it was a really good tournament, and nice to see other guys that aren't part of WWE.

The show should be entertaining though so looking forward to it. And at an hour it should be enough to keep my attention.

I don't think that this would spell the end for the cruiserweight classic. If they continue to use the format from the first and open up the tournament to wrestlers from the indy circuit, it could still work very well. I'd like to hope that it'll be similar to the X-Cup tournament from TNA years ago.

Looking forward to watching this. I wonder if the Cruiserweights will still be featured on Raw though?

Yeah, 205 Live isn't a great name. Don't know why they don't bother putting the word cruiserweight in there somewhere. Would make more sense.

More news on it here:

- As reported yesterday, WWE will be launching a new weekly show dedicated to their Cruiserweights called "205 Live". The show will be shot immediately after Smackdown and air live on Tuesdays at 10pm on the WWE Network. What this means is that the Cruiserweights will continue to work Monday nights on Raw where they would also shoot angles for the Tuesday show. Additionally, they would also work on the NXT weekend tours.

- The new schedule is already causing people backstage to complain as they have to stay at the arena an extra hour. The other issue is that because the show will be shot after Smackdown, there is a big risk of fans leaving after Smackdown or having somewhat of a dead and tired audience for those that choose to stay. It's entirely possible that there will be a change in the future where "205 Live" will end up being shot before Smackdown and then aired on tape delay on the network later on in the night.

Cruiserweights will continue on Raw, be on NXT tours and be around for Smackdown ready to film the show right after it. They're going to be the busiest guys on the roster.

I just hope their pay packets represent the amount of work they're required to do. I also hope they don't burn through them too quickly.... They could lose the entire division in a month if they were unlucky enough...
