WWE Conducting Market Research on Tier System for WWE Network

- WWE is conducting market research at the present time to potentially establish "tiers" for the WWE Network. Under this plan, there would essentially be four tiers.

- The first tier would be free but heavily supported by commercials and include limited streaming capabilities and short video clips.

- The second tier would be $4.99 per month and include access to all video clips and the four major PPVs per year among other content. It would only be available to mobile or tablet users.

- The third tier would be $9.99 which would include all video clips, 19 PPVs per year, live NXT shows, complete video archives and be supported by limited commercials.

- The fourth and final tier would be for either $12.99 or $14.99 and would include everything the $9.99 tier would have, as well as access to footage for independent promotions, including possibly ROH and TNA. This tier would be completely commercial free and also include bonus perks such as being able to vote for the WWE Hall of Fame, first access to live event tickets, and invitations to VIP sessions with talent.

- It should be noted that WWE is officially stating that these are hypothetical scenarios and the goal of the research is simply wanting to learn what its fan base values. It's possible that none of this may ever materialize.

The $4.99 one just isn't enough really. They could easily do what Sky Go does and have it locked to phones and tablets - if you put in a HDMI cable nothing will play, locks down casting so you can't stream it to a TV, etc. $4.99 to watch the Network on just your phone would be great. $4.99 for limited content on a phone just seems pointless.

The fourth tier... "completely commercial free". Isn't the Network commercial free already? I only watch a few things when I'm around my mates and never seen any adverts, but I might have just been lucky in that aspect. Are adverts currently a thing on the Network?

No ads. Reading this though its pretty obvious they want to add them in though. I don't see them allowing ROH or TNA too broadcast on the network.

It probably means TNA and ROH stuff from the tape libraries, not the actual shows on a week-by-week basis.

From what I understand they have already bought tna's library and are trying to get ROH as well.

Not got TNA's library yet.

So there's no adverts at all on the current $9.99 one and now they're asking whether people would pay extra to keep it advert free? I know limited adverts really isn't much, but they're bound to piss a load of people off if they suddenly change it to have adverts whilst saying if you want no adverts you have to pay more.

Only 2 changes they should make to the whole thing really. Keep $9.99 ad free. Make the $4.99 one the same as the $9.99 one, but limited to only mobile/table use whilst locking down all casting capabilities. That to me then makes the whole thing a very good selection for fans to choose from.
