Awesome news. 4 great talents. Looking forward to hearing more names, I'm guessing 12 total.

Love it in the CWC that Kendrick still uses the "Man With a Plan" theme. I love that theme, seems that the crowd remembers it, since they sing the words to it. I hope Gallaher gets a contract at some point, he's so awesome, I was so sad when he got eliminated. Oh did I mention I'm a pretty big TJ Perkins fan?

I wanna see more Bully Choke!!! FUCK YEA KENDRICK!!!
This is the current confirmed Cruiserweights for Raw's new division. I like it. 10 guys is a great start. Wouldn't want them going too much bigger than that personally as then they get less time. It's big enough to be competitive, but not too big that you just won't see most of them for periods of time. Even at 3 hours they can only fit so many people on a show. Cool that they get to be on NXT as well, but it would still be foolish to make it too big.
Does Neville qualify as a Cruiser?
He should do. The the CWC they listed it as 205lbs. Neville is less than that - like 190lbs max.
Oddly enough, the new Cruiserweight Championship is being classed as completely separate from the old belt. The US Title on the WWE website goes all the way back to 1975 WCW. The old Cruiserweight Championship is listed separately, with TJ Perkins being listed as the first and only holder of the new Cruiserweight Championship. Odd that they've not kept it going, since it has the same name and all. Wasn't Hornswaggle the last Cruiserweight champion though before the last belt was removed? Probably explains the decision, as no one wants to remember that shit.

Yeah, Hornswoggle beat Chavo for the belt. I don't blame them for making a whole new lineage.

I remember the WWE had the light heavyweight championship set at like 185 I think. The WCW cruiserweight was like 225 ish? Maybe it has to do with the weight classification? Just throwing out ideas.
They aren't doing anything else with Neville, may as well stick him in the division.

I recall that once, when Foley was GM I think, Christian (who was actively tagging with Edge, maybe even champions) got it in his head to go after what was either the cruiser weight or light heavyweight title. This was on Heat I believe. He talked to Mick about it but he weighed in at about 228, with the division max weight set at 225. He insisted he could drop it before show end, and Mick said if he did, he'd gI've him the title shot. So Christian had to drop 3 pounds in order to qualify, resulting in E&C resorting to all sorts of hijinks (and laxatives/inducing vomiting) to drop the weight. He manages to get down to 225, but is too weak to compete and loses in a minute or so. My memory is shoddy but yeah!

Neville's whole WWE career post NxT is a tragedy. He's never got THAT push to be taken seriously and once he got injured it all went downhill.
But unless they have plans for him to anchor the Cruiser division, WHY would you not draft him to Smackdown where he can build himself up on a show that's more stylistic for him. Makes no sense.

Surprised someone else remembers this. Ah, the days when even the B-shows were solid entertainment. Then again, apparently, NXT is solid nowadays. I don't have cable, caught RAW enough to see the cruiser weight fatal 4-way. Good match. Yeah, Kendrick!

The first names for Raw's exclusive Cruiserweight Division were announced last night as well as confirmation that it will debut on the 19th September. Rich Swann, Brian Kendrick, Noam Dar and TJ Perkins are the first 4 announced. That is a cracking start.
