This is the card so far:

WWE Championship Match:
The Rock (c) vs. John Cena

The Streak On The Line:
The Undertaker vs. CM Punk

No Holds Barret With Triple H's Career On The Line
Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar

World Heavyweight Championship Match:
Alberto Del Rio (c) vs. Jack Swagger

Six Man Tag Match:
Randy Orton, Sheamus & Big Show vs. The Shield

Intercontinental Championship Match:
Wade Barrett (c) vs. The Miz

Vince's big man fetish match:
Ryback vs. Mark Henry

WWE Tag Team Championship Match:
Team Hell No (c) vs. Dolph Ziggler & Big E Langston

The Chris Jericho should have better match:
Chris Jericho vs. Fandango

Wrestlemania piss break match:
Tons of Funk & The Funkadactyls vs. Team Rhodes Scholars & The Bella Twins

Personally, the card doesn't excite me.

Rock vs Cena was done at last years Mania. Adding the title adds nothing to this match in my opinion. Seen the match before when it was billed as "once in a life time". They should have left it as that.

Triple H vs Lesnar has been done before as well. Would have been a big deal if they hadn't fought already.

Heavyweight title match doesn't do anything for me. Most entertaining part of this feud has been Swaggers manager.

Ryback vs Henry could be a fun 5 minute match of heavy hitting and power moves. Anything more than that though and it'll become a borefest.

The Miz get's a IC title match? Urgh, been an awful feud. Would rather see Casero having a match instead, he deserves it as he's a great talent.

I like the Shield, great new team. Don't like that they're seemingly turning Big Show face though, he's been a great heel. He sucks as a face. Hopefully after Mania he goes back to being a heel, and hopefully the Shield continue their winning streak.

Hell No should have better competitors. An actual tag team. Love Ziggler, one of the most talented guys on the roster - he should be in a singles match. If he cashes in the MITB and leaves the event with the title, then I'll be happy.

Jericho should have a better match. Wouldn't surprise me if they added a stipulation to this match just to make sure that Fandango has to compete.

Taker vs Punk will be good. Don't know how long they'll get though as Taker seems to be getting more and more unfit to wrestle as the years go on. Shame that Punk will likely lose his third PPV in a row, but at least it should be a great match.

Not even going to get started on the Rhodes Scholars match. They should be against Hell No, not on a real piss break match.

Bound to be a womans match added as some point as well.

I expect Kaitlyn v AJ to be added to the card, and while there are some matches I don't care for, overall I like the card,

Personally, I'm happy to see Rock/Cena II, Lesnar/HHH II and Taker/Punk. All of them have had decent build and will definitely be the main events of the show. Jericho deserves better, but a match vs Fandango could be decent. I'm also looking forward to Ryback v Henry, just because I don't know who could win that one. It could go either way really.

And of course, I fully expect Hell No to retain and then Ziggler to cash in later on against Del Rio, who will beat Swagger.

The only matches I really have no interest in are the 8-mixed tag and Barrett v Miz. They will most likely suck, but the rest of the card should at least be decent.

Yeah, I'm sure that the Triple H vs Lesnar and Rock vs Cena matches will be good. They just do nothing for me, I have no excitement for them. The build up to the Rock one has bored me.

I really will be disappointed though is Ziggler doesn't leave with the title though. It's gotta happen.

This has been by far the worse Wrestlemania build up in a long time. The only thing remotely exciting is CM Punk vs. The Undertaker and that isn't even seeming that great. I hope the undercard surprises me though. Fandango vs. Jericho oddly enough is a match I am strongly looking forward to.

Nigga right!!!

No, but seriously, why have Taker/Punk end the program instead of The Rock? Kind of shitting on your once in a lifetime plus again main event.

I have not been excited by this years Wrestlemania at all.... The only thing that excites me is the possibility of Cena turning heel, I know it wont hapen, but every show that passes it just seems like they are setting it up more and more, I mean on the Go Home Raw the crowd were chanting Boring at him, they wernt even 50/50 with him they were positivly 90/10 against him and yet he just keeps on smiling like he has ear plugs in... I know they wont turn him, but thats the only thing thats really exciting me so far for WM

Im kind of guessing that Shawn Michaels may sweet chin HHH and cost him the Lesner match, that would be a good twist for that match but its not like they can take the feud any further than a verbal war as they would both be retired... But again the match itself doesnt excite me, so im hoping for something to end it that will be a surprise.

They have to pull alot of rabbits out the hat on the show itself to make it "The Show of Show" because at the moment, it isnt even going to be the Show of the Year never mind the Show of Shows...

I'd like to see them do something like turning the Rock heel if anything. I don't think that'd hurt

I'm not sure how successful they'd be in turning the Rock heel... he's barely there so it's like a big thing when he is, people love him what ever he says... it'd be tough turning him heel and getting people to boo him. All he'd have to do it disappear for a little bit like usual and then he'd be cheered out of the building when he returns. Even doing it for one show would be tough against Cena, as fans love seeing Cena getting beat up due to how he's usually booked (ie, moaning how it's been a hard year for him, despite main eventing almost every PPV, countless title shots, Rumble win, etc).

Far easier to turn Cena heel, and would make sense.

I still don't have any excitement for this PPV, and that's wrong. Wrestlemania should be the one PPV that is built up so great that it's unmissable. I'm watching it, but I wouldn't be fussed if I missed it at all.

And who would take over at top face if he does? Sheamus? Not sure about that.

I said it probably wouldnt happen... haha... But it will take something big on the show itself to make this Wrestlemania go in the history books as anything other than 'Just another over priced PPV' because the build up has been probably the worst it has been in a long time, and when most people can predict the outcome of the top 3 matches on the card, its going to take something like Trips losing, maybe a turn by Shawn, or something like Cena turning etc to make this more than just another show...

I cant remember a WM that i have been looking forward to less than I am for this year... At this point, a Ziggler cash in wont even turn the show around for me... Although id like to see them win the tag titles, AJ win the Womens title and Ziggler cash in the MITB and come out of WM holding all the titles... That would be one hell of a push...

Im hoping maybe for the Shield to grow a little at WM, perhaps unveil new member from NXT this way they can keep their dominance going without hurting the team of faces with nothing else to do... Because a Shield loss now would put them on the scrap heap, because they are stoppable, so it would kill all the momentum they have gained.. so perhaps a new member making a save would solidfy their position and make them even stronger...

Miz has fallen so far which I am sad about, 2 years ago he won the Main Event at retained his WWE Championship and now they have had to throw together a match with one of the worse stories Ive seen in a long time in what will probbaly be a short throw away match and just a way to keep them on the card...

Jericho, well what can you say, its a shame they have put him on the undercard but hopefully he can bring the best out of fandanga and help establish him which is obviously what they have been hoping by putting him them together as they know Jericho can bring out anyones A game...

Its so weird that the match I am most excited for is Fandango vs. Jericho, but Fandango seems like an awesome talent with a stupid gimmick. He's trying to make it work and I think he's doing a good job. I think they will pull off something pretty awesome. Just wish the gimmick wasn't so weak

Liked the Taker match. Was very surprised that he didn't look gassed after 10 minutes. He still looked alright come the end. Their entrances were pretty cool as well. Better than the usual main even entrances they do a Mania. Not portraying Punk as being afraid helped greatly. He's the kind of heel that I love. Claims he's the best, and is willing to back it up instead of acting a coward (I know he's acted like it in the past, but here he was great).

Triple H vs Lesnar was second best match. I loved that table slam Lesnar did and that he was doing suplexes. I miss him doing them. Hate that they portray him as a brawler (can understand due to the UFC history), when he's a wrestler and a bloody good one. He should be doing more of the moves that he used to do.

Main even annoyed me mainly due to how many times they said 'redemption', not just during it but all through the even when talking about it. Did anyone catch what the sign said near the beginning? Something about spilling beer on a baby...

No Ziggler cash in was shit. Would have been great to see him walk out with the title.

Most hilarious part was watching JBL punch the crap out of that Rey toy. Pure gold.

I posted a comment on Twitter which I will stick by at the time of the posting...  I posted it at start of Swagger vs ADR and was simple, that Wrestlemania felt no more spectacular than an average In Your House PPV...

The Shield winning was good to see but it couldnt have gone any other way, otherwise they would have killed any momentum they had built over the last 6 months, and I still cant work out if they thought turning the Big Show heel again would be shocking and a surprise, I hope not, but knowing WWE they probably felt like it would be a big deal..

I was a little surprised by the outcome of the Henry and Ryback match having Henry going over Ryback, however this is the onl result of the night I was a little surprised at, yet one of the results I wasnt bothered about to be honest...  I found it really annoying hearing the commentators talk about how impressive and earth shatteringly unexpected it is to see Ryback lift Henry, when we all know John Cena has lifted the Big Show numerous times, so surely that would be more impressive??

Team Hell No going over Ziggles and Big E wasnt surprising but it was a little disapointing, I was hoping Team Zig would leave WM holding all the titles (Tag, Diva and World)... Throw awa match nothing really to note here except I liked the Benoit-esq finish to the match haha

Jericho vs Fandango was just a train wreck as Fandango messed up a few times and Jericho tried to cover and call it on the fly, but still couldt cover for Fandango's mistakes and it just seemed a bad match and no matter how hard Jericho tried he couldnt bring out the best in Curtis, or either that or he did bring out the best in Curtis and that was it, which is a terrifying thought...

P Diddy was.. well it was shockingly bad and the only comment i could make here is I wish they had played the Coming Home song a few more times, because I cant rememeber ever hearing it... Sarcasm at its best... God that song is annoying now.

How could anyone ever think that Jack Swagger was going to win his match when they never even showed his entrance, and from the look of it, he was the only one that had a special entrance of such with his ATV and they missed it out completely... The only thing I was waiting for was a Ziggler cash in, which never happened and they just seemed to drop the ball once again there, I mean surely storylines aside, why wouldnt he cash it in on the grandest stage of them all?? It confuses and bewilders me the quality of WWE writing...

Punk vs Taker was probably my favurite, well not probably, definatly my favourite match of the night, and you have to give it to Taker, yes he is always working with workhorses at Wrestlemania each year but he is always involed in the MOTN in my opinion and they did it again, they told a good story, kept it entertaining and pulled off a great night, and I agree with the above statement about Punk, him sitting there looking unimpressed and not fazed by Undertakers entrance just made the match even better in my opinion, it was a great little touch that only Punk could bring. The result I thought was obvious, but the route they took to get to the result was a good one, even when the Spanish Announce Table messed up its bit starring moment and failed to break haha

Lesner vs HHH match i wasnt really looking forwar dto after Summerslam, but it was a good match and I did enjoy it which i was surprised at, I was hoping for a HBK turn and a sweet chin onto HHH but it didnt happen... But now you have to wonder where do they go with Brock from here, if he has the same deal as last year he will be working just 3 matches and 1 of them will be WM 30 so they have 2 matches to portray him as someone to fear once again before he is the big star of WM 30.

Rock vs Cena, it was an obvious outcome and the WWE never fail to deliver the obvious, however it wasnt  agreat match and it felt like we were just waiting for it happen....  I hope the Rock disapears again now for a bit, he has got boring on the road to this years WM, even his promos have become generic and boring, this whoel mutual respect crap has been rubbish....  I was hoping they would turn Cena and do something shocking with the supposably biggest show of them all, but it didnt happen... They bottled it once again and Cen will continue to try and act like a face yet get booed out of every building.

Overall, what a very poor Wrestlemania and a total waste of my money...  Was very predictable, the only turn of the night came from Big Show and no Cash in.. Not even a tease of a cash in like he was doing last year which I found highly annoying...  Rock vs Cena was boring and it didnt feel like a Wrestlemania at all, there were no backstage segments with celebs etc and it just seemed mundane and boring...  And they need to rethink the huge arenas thing i think aswell or atleast do something with the accoustics because the crowd once again came across as being dead on camera... I was watching WM18 on the Sunday morning, and the crowd in the Skydome for Rock vs Hogan made that whole match, it was insane... and then u get the crowd for this years Wrestlemania, and it wasnt even in the same league...

Banner.jpg

Other than the Punk/Taker match, and possibly Brock/Trips, a definite candidate for the worst WM ever. I feel for anyone who actually paid that exorbitant amount of money to watch it on PPV. At least WWE redeemed themselves somewhat by having a decent RAW, finally

This Wrestlemania was a terrible one, if it was a normal PPV it would have be good at best. Most matches were mediocre and didn't feel like there was enough on the line or the matches weren't really a big deal. I wish they'd stop doing them in open stadiums so they could do ladder matches again. Not to sound like a broken record but Taker vs Punk was the best match followed by Brock vs HHH, I fell asleep during the main event to be honest but on second viewing it wasn't worth staying up for.

Punk/Taker and HHH/Lesnar were great fun to watch. I was disappointed with Rock/Cena and the rest of the PPV was average. The crowd were shit. Absolutely crap. But apart from that, it's definitely not the worst Mania I've ever seen. Far from the best though.

I agree to an extent, it was probably the best under card match, however it didn't feel like enough was on the line and the shield winning was a forgone conclusion. Plus the other three are some of the stalest members of the WWE roster and the booking was a bit dumb. Are we supposed to be mad at the Big Show for following the rules?
