The PPV that in recent years has been one of the best PPV's around.
Love that Rollins goes straight back in for a title shot, and that they've actually made the announcement early to give time to build towards it. I hate this whole late booking of PPV matches that WWE have been doing lately. Probably helps being on the Network and so they don't have to run adverts for people to order the PPV at a huge cost, so they don't need to book the matches early to pull people in, but I don't like it. Book early and get people excited for it and have a better build towards it. So yeah, happy that this match is announced already.
Disappointed that Ziggler won't be in the MITB match. Also quite funny that there's two feuds in the match currently (Owens-Zayn & Ambrose-Jericho). Wonder whether the Miz will be added, and that'll be 3 feuds in the match with the seventh person just being a random. Will probably be someone like a returning Cena. I hope not - get him going after the US Title upon his return. Also hoping that the Miz doesn't get added as it would be nice to see an IC Title match on the card.
I see AJ and Cena in the ladder match too. Kofi if not Cena. Either way looks epic. Also pretty excited for Apollo Crewes vs. Sheamus to be built!! Agreed about Miz and Cena to an extent. I'd be ok with him as wildcard in MITB or vs Rusev. I just Swagger could get some US title love...that feud with Rusev was good!

I hadn't thought of AJ in the ladder match. I want Owens to win it at the moment (he's still the best thing in WWE at the moment), but man I'd be torn if they put AJ in there. I'd want both to win lol.
Since Smackdown hasn't aired yet I'll put this in spoiler tags - another competitor was named in the MITB match:
So far I can see the MITB match going two ways. Either to Ambrose or Owens. Both of them are good choices really. If I had my personal preference as to who should win, i'd have it be Owens. But the most championship ready guy is Dean Ambrose here, so they will probably give it to him. I wonder if Cena will be the last entrant?

If Ambrose or Owens win, I don't see them waiting too long to cash it in. I could even see Ambrose winning, cashing in on Roman after he beats Rollins, setting up a Shield triple threat at SummerSlam.

Cesaro needs to become IC champion while he is so red hot. The MITB should go to Owens or Ambrose, preferably Owens. But I do see how epic a shield triple threat match at Summerslam could be. This PPV is usually one of my favorites, so this should be fun to watch.
I'm really digging the MitB match this year as so far everyone involved in it are feasible winners. I think Kevin Owens will win it (and I hope he does!), but I love it when the winner could be anyone.

I love Zayn, but to me he needs to be IC or US champ frst.
First post has been updated. Cena vs AJ Styles was made official this evening.
I'm sure WWE have removed the seventh spot from the MITB match too.

The one above is the latest graphic from the WWE website. So if they've removed the spot, they haven't made it official yet. Can't see why they would remove it though. Doesn't hurt being 7, although you'd think anyone being added now really has no chance of winning it.
Oh, fair enough. It's just on RAW they made no mention of the seventh spot and treated the participants like the final selection.

Either that or they're not gonna confirm the last spot and have a surprise entrant who'll end up winning the whole thing, Samoa Joe or Finn Balor or someone like that...
4CW Hall of Fame Class of 2018. Triple Crown Champion 2020. 2 times Universal, 2 times Tag team and 1 Time World Heavyweight Champion.
Wrestler of the Year 2017, Champion of the Year 2017, Most Improved 2017
Well, WWE appear to have confirmed that there'll only be 6 now instead of 7. Odd if you ask me, as surely they knew the 7 before they started on the graphics and booking the match... that or they're booking on the fly.
Anyway, first post is updated and there's a huge tag match added.
This card is seriously missing:
The Dudleys
Golden Truth
Breezango
The Usos
Darren Young w/Bob Backlund
The Miz
Social Outcasts
Jack Swagger

Social Outcasts and Breezango? Get out! They should never be on a PPV. Breeze on his own though I'm down with, it's a shame that his being promoted to the main roster has resulted in him becoming a joke. Get him back down in NXT quick.
I love how the US Title match has come about. O'Neill has literally done nothing for a while, due to suspension, and was doing nothing before that. Yet he comes out and demands a title shot and gets it. What on earth has he done to deserve a title shot? They have guys working hard, putting on a show every week and we're to believe that none of them want a title shot? There are times where I just don't get WWE booking...
Seriously, how many more Ziggler vs Corbin pre-show matches are we going to see?

Thanks Taker_2004 for the banner!
The three main events were fantastic.
The undercard sucked.
I'd give it a B+ because DEAN FUCKING AMBROSE.

Urgh. I wanted Owens to win for a start. Was so happy when Rollins regained the title as I didn't see that happening (expected Reigns to be champ for quite a while), then bummed out because he lost it straight away. I just don't rate Ambrose as a main eventer. His punches are weak looking as fuck and his whole gimmick seems to be "I'm aggressive (lol), pull funny faces during matches and speak like I've had a few too many before facing the crowd". He hasn't even shown that he's a good wrestler at all to me, not in WWE anyway. I don't get why people like him.
Disappointed that AJ didn't win clean, but I get why they've done that. The feud continues, which isn't a bad thing at all. Although they don't need screwy finishes to continue a feud - Owens vs Cena was done right with clean wins. I guess they're just trying to get over The Club though, which I don't think needs doing as they're pretty over as it is. Suppose it helps get over that AJ is now a heel, as people do love to keep cheering him which is understandable.
The undercard wasn't that good. The opening tag match was awesome though, that spear from Big E was nuts. New Day really can put one some some stellar matches man... Sad that Enzo and Cass didn't win the belts though or even the Club would have been cool. Looks like they might have New Day break the tag title record.
All the other matches until the big ones were pretty forgettable. But bar the Rusev vs. Titus match, the last hour in a half of that PPV was off the walls. Cena vs. Styles was excellent, like Ben said, I would rather have seen a clean win. But storyline wise I guess it doesn't make much sense and i'm a Styles fan boy.
MITB might have been one of the best ones I've ever seen! That was nuts and Ambrose winning would make the main event even more nuts. As good as Rollins might be, he still can't carry Reigns like Styles did, not a knock on Rollins as AJ Styles is the better wrestler. But I think it still was an excellent main event. Ambrose winning caused all of us in the chat to freak the hell out! Rollings winning over Reigns makes me think Triple Threat. Because Rollins and Reigns both get rematches now. I hope they don't blow it at Battleground though or screw it up with the draft!
The main event has been off the hook on the PPVs the last three months. The top of the card and the tag division are really carrying the card right now. Kind of reminds me of the PPVs I watched in 97/98 where the Main Event was carrying the PPVs for a while... If it follows suit, we might be in for some pretty great things here in the future.

Ambrose has proven with his title matches against Rollins last year and Triple H at Roadblock that he can deliver on a main event level. He's charismatic as hell, quite funny, and good in the ring. Reminds me of a Austin/Pillman hybrid. I don't get why you dislike him. I mean weak punches is hardly a huge flaw plenty of guys can't punch for shit.

Considering he seems to go for a brawler style, it matters. Half the time he doesn't even make them look like they're connecting which just makes them look worse. His actual moves aren't that good either. I've seen him wrestler before WWE and he was good and made moves look good (had a fair few more as well). In WWE though, he's average and seems to think making faces during matches is a character. It's a shame, as I know he can be better as I've seen it. WWE Dean Ambrose though shouldn't be any higher than upper-midcard to me. I can't buy him as a champion at all.
As for the end of the PPV, if someone had told me that Ambrose was walking out as champion, I'd have booked it like how when Rollins won it. Ambrose comes down near the end of the match and cashes in, but instead of pinning Rollins, takes out Reigns and pins the champ. The triple threat can then come in as Rollins can complain about being cheated as he never lost, and it adds something between Reigns and Ambrose. Ambrose can also then say that he took a page out of Rollins book since he won the title in a similar way to when Rollins did.
