Sasha Banks labelled as "Injury Prone"

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Vince McMahon has compared Sasha Banks to Daniel Bryan in the past, considering her to be injury prone.

Sasha is currently sidelined with a reported concussion following a six women tag match last week that saw her accidentally kneed in the head by the referee. Banks was pulled from this past weekend’s live events, and was previously not featured on TV but it was for storyline reasons, and not because of injury.

As reported earlier, Banks has been cleared to return to the ring after she underwent concussion evaluations this week. She is expected to return at this week’s live events, and was in early plans for a Money In The Bank match, but it’s unknown if her injury has put a hold on those plans. Banks’ recent injury was just a fluke, but WWE will definitely err on the side of caution when it comes to these injuries, especially after Daniel Bryan’s situations. The Observer noted Banks being labeled as injury prone isn’t necessarily a ‘kiss of death’, but it could cause WWE to be leery about future plans.

I know someone in the group chat was wondering what happened to her. Its weird that I didn't hear anything about that concussion until just now. I don't think its fair to label her in that category. I mean Daniel Bryan had a long career before he even got to the WWE, so his body has already been through the mill a few times before that.

I've always found it funny with how they don't push people because of being injury prone. There were reports years ago how Ziggler wouldn't get the best again as they considered him injury prone (before his radio interview where he said he was better than their pet project Orton). Cena is injury prone yet still makes it to the top. Guess it really comes down to your status in the company more than anything.

Has Banks missed much through injury? This is the first injury that I know off, and I wouldn't class something like concussion as injury prone. If she was constantly tearing muscles then yeah. Maybe she has in the past, I dont know. But I couldn't class a freak concussion accident as part of that.

I mean they kept giving Wade Barret push after push and he was one of the most injury prone people around. Mark Henry has gotten countless pushes, injury prone. I agree with you there that they seem to go with that excuse everytime they get pissed with someone. Sasha Banks probably pissed the wrong person off backstage.

Second that. Probably being way-laid by an issue stemming from backstage politics, not injury or being considered as injury-prone. As noted, tons of stars have been of are quite injury prone and still get huge pushes.
Good that the concussion was only a minor thing and not a cause for a longer absence.

I'm reading now that Sasha is cleared now and can come back at any time. Sometimes these types of reports I take with a grain of salt... But I never put anything past the WWE 😋

Better than Essa

Ziggler was injury prone because Swagger kicked him in the head. Sasha is injury prone because a referee kneed her in the head. When will these damn millennials learn to slow down?

With wrestling really, everyone is prone to injury. It's just inevitable.
