Remember when TNA booked Young as their own Daniel Bryan, literally mirroring the story. Ugh.
The quicker Roode gets into the 'E, the better.

Thanks Taker_2004 for the banner!
I would love to see Roode in the WWE, Eric Young.. not so much

I can see that for sure. Eric Young is good at being on TV in general. Not that Bobby Roode isn't, but Eric Young is much more versatile. He can work legitimate crazy heel, class clown babyface, dominating heel (World Elite days...which weren't as bad as people give him credit for), and can host his own TV show in the wild (literally!)...too bad his piledriver will have to go the wayside if he gets into WWE.
I've always liked Bobby Roode's in-ring work more than Eric Young's. But, Young has just about every other aspect covered and that's why WWE wants him. I hate to say it, but he would need less 'development' than Bobby Roode in my mind. At this moment in time, Eric Young could be believable as both a Santino-like character and as a member of the Wyatt Family. Roode could play a "No Gimmicks Needed"/blue collar Bobby Roode angle or be a rich snobby heel. He won't have James Storm to rely on when it comes to mic work (which he isn't awful at, just that the dynamic he and Storm have would be tough to copy)
I'm just saying that I can see exactly why they look at Young over Roode. Not to mention, EY will probably work for less money in the end. Maybe not considerably less, but less for sure. I feel like Bobby Roode believes he is worth a certain amount and that Eric Young would take most any contract offered to him as long as it wasn't for an insultingly low amount. But, then again...I've only met them once in person each and it was for an autograph...so I have no room to speak about their personalities and what they would or would not do.

How would Young need less development than Roode? Roode probably has the most WWE like style on the TNA roster and is the most polished wrestler they have. I've said it for a long time now. Roode is the best person out there today who hasn't been to the WWE and I think he would have an extremely easy time transitioning over. Eric Young is a good hand, but definitely is getting overrated here. He really isn't anything spectacular, hes always been kind of the dude who is there. I guess just dont agree with your thoughts on the whole thing lol.

One question: do you think El Generico needed more development because of his in ring ability or because he needed to master the other 8547533 aspects of pro wrestling???

I can't comment on a wrestler I haven't seen outside of the E. But what more does Roode need to learn? He's well polished on all aspects of the business. Certainly more polished than Eric Young.

I've been watching TNA on a weekly basis for about 10 years now, in all of that time. I can honestly say that Bobby Roode is a stud. I've always said while watching him "He's probably the most WWE ready guy on their roster." He fits their image.

Ok cool. I like him too. My reasoning is pretty clear. You're not saying much other than he has the look and style. Tyler Black was the same way in ROH, people made fun of him for not being main event quality when he had the look and style. He was signed, refined the art of a character in NXT and off went Seth Rollins. I certainly could see Roode in WWE, but I would expect him to be in NXT longer because of the same reasons and because of fans like you who mark more over a Bobby Roode than an Eric Young...and NXT loves that shit.
I want to see Roode in WWE. Would be a great acquisition, even if it's just for NXT. Young though I'm just not feeling, never seen what the big deal is with him (not that he's crap or anything).
