Mid Card

The pyros go off, and we are live in Chicago, Illinois!  The camera pans around the arena, showing us a very excited and lively crowd.  Eventually we settle at ringside, focusing on legendary duo Scott Phoenix and Ray Jeffrey.

Phoenix: Good evening everybody and, for the first time in almost two years, welcome to 4CW Stormfront!

Jeffrey: That's right, just like cockroach you thought you squashed, we're back!

Phoenix: Yeah, umm, thanks for that Ray.  I'm Scott Phoenix -

Jeffrey: - we know -

Phoenix: - and with me as always is my broadcast partner, Ray Jeffrey.

Jeffrey: The one and only, live and in person!

Phoenix: And that's not all!  We have a new colleague joining us at ringside!

The camera zooms out slightly to reveal former backstage announcer Jenny Loveless, sitting beside Jeffrey.  Beaming, Loveless waves at the camera enthusiastically.

Loveless: Hi everybody, Jenny Loveless here!

Jeffrey looks over at Loveless.

Jeffrey: Finally, partner worth my time.  You know Jen, you and I -

Loveless: Shut up Jeffrey.  You can flirt and make innuendo jokes all you want, but it won't work.  Just focus on calling the in-ring action, or I'll retire you.

Jeffrey slinks slightly away from Loveless, whilst Phoenix laughs.

Phoenix: I like her already!  Jenny, will you do the honours?

Loveless: We've got a huge show tonight, with three qualifying matches for this year's Sole Survivor tournament to crown the new champ.  I can't wait, it's going to be great!

Before the first match can begin, "Push it to the Limit" plays from the system, and out comes the new General Manager of 4CW, Max Clay.  The 28 year old beams as he walks down the ramp, waving and pointing at the fans.  He's wearing an expensive looking suit, with his hair gelled back.  He climbs into the ring, mic already in hand.  The crowd don't really know how to react to the stranger, but the excitement of seeing 4CW keeps them rowdy enough to please the new boss.

Clay: Alright everybody, here we are at 4CW Stormfront!

The crowd cheers.

Clay: I know right?  Crazy to believe!  You guys don't know me, so I wanted to come down here to introduce myself.  My name is Max Clay, and I've loved wrestling all my life.  Don't let this suit fool you, underneath this shirt and tie is a mark just like all of you.

Jeffrey: Ah jeez, all we need's a fan boy.

Clay: I love this company, from the great legendary matches all the way down to Ray Jeffrey's snarky comments.  4CW's been there for me during some pretty tough times, so I want to be here for 4CW.  I found it heartbreaking to see 4CW off the air, nothing more than a memory.  So I worked at getting the show back.  Spoke to Keith at the office and he agreed.  Did my research with the focus groups and made some phone calls, and here we are!  Now I don't want to take up too much of your time, so sit back, and enjoy the ride!

The crowd appreciatively cheer as Max Clay heads to the back.

Match One
Pilgrim Paige vs. Gunner Jarlsson
The match lasts 20 minutes, and is a very back and forth match, with both wrestlers getting a chance to show off their moves and wow the crowd.  Reversals and kick outs galore!  The end finally comes as Jarlsson lies on the mat.  Paige leaps from the top rope, but Jarlsson lifts his knees.  Paige crashes into Jarlsson's knees, giving him the opportunity to tackle her to the mat.  Using the ropes for leverage behind the ref's back, Jarlsson pins Paige and gets the 1-2-3.
Winner and Sole Survivor qualifier: Gunner Jarlsson

Phoenix: Now to Gabriel Crowe who is standing backstage with Sery!

Gabriel Crowe stands next to Sery getting ready to interview him. Sery is decked out in all his Sery gear. A red jacket with his face on the back, its unzipped which reveals a T-Shirt with Sery's head on it. He is wearing shorts and they have S's on both legs. Wearing glasses in the shape of S's and a Sery head band!

Crowe: Thanks Scott! Joining me here right now is Sery! I must say Sery, you really have dressed for the occasion.

Sery: Just sporting my merch Gabriel! All of which is available at 4CWshop.com! Oh that reminds me! Would you like a special limited edition Sery Monopoly set!?!?!

Sery picks up a board game box and its just a regular game of Monopoly with duck tape and written on the tape is SERY.

Crowe: Umm.. I'll pass. So Sery, are you excited to be back and be in the Main Event tonight to qualify for the Soul Survivor tournament?

Sery: It's great to be back Gabriel and its great to come back on such a big stage. You know Gabriel, I've beat many people in my career, many former world champions. But I'm tired of beating former world champs, I want to be the World Champ! I have a long hard road in front of me, but step one starts tonight. Now if you'd excuse me, I have to go get ready with some Super Seryous Yoga! Its a 5 step program available at..

Crowe: THANKS SERY! Now back to you Scott!

Match 2
Senecca vs. Bally Hoo
Senecca starts the match all cocky and over-confident, thinking Bally Hoo is not worth his time.  But the newcomer literally slaps the smirk off of Sen's face.  Senecca stumbles in surprise, and Bally Hoo goes in for the kill.  Bally Hoo takes advantage and dominates the match with a powerful offence.  Senecca does put up a valiant effort with some reversals, kicking out of pin attempts and breaking out of submissions.  But as the match goes on, it gets too much for the veteran, and Bally Hoo takes him out with his finisher and gets the three count.
Winner and Sole Survivor qualifier: Bally Hoo

Camera cuts to a backstage interview area with Marie Dubois standing alone in front of a set piece with the 4CW logo heavily emblazoned on it. She throws a slightly cocky half smile at the camera as she begins.

Marie Dubois: I would like to introduce at the is; Brian 'The Freight Train' Wight!

The camera moves slightly to the right as The Freight Train moves in close to Marie, his face showing a scowl of concentration.

MB: Brian, you've been booked into the main event tonight against the veterans Sery and 'The Bruiser' Rhys Cain. Do you have a battle plan for tonight?

White seems to be moving from foot to foot in a restless way, nodding his head and rubbing his hands together.

BW: Do I have a battle plan? Well Marie, (at which point he grabs the mic from her) Yo should know battle plans never survive engagement, so not really no. I intend to go in there tonight and steam roller those two into oblivion.

White attention moves from the slightly startled Marie to the camera.

BW: You see, my push here was cut short last time by 4CW closing its doors. I never got to show you what I could do. Sure, I ran over a few bugs back then, but they weren't any challenge. Huh, it was almost fun squashing them! (White laughs before his face becomes deadly serious) But that ain't gonna happen again! I'm up against Sery and the Bruiser, finally a real challenge for me, but not even the ex champ and my countryman Rhys will be able to stop me from taking the belt. I will be the Sole Survivor, and I'll run over anyone who gets in my way!

White pushes the mic back into the hands of Marie Dubois, pushing her back a foot or two int the process and stalks off.

Camera focuses on Dubois as she holds the mic in both hands, a scowl developing on her face as she watches the big man walk off and the camera cuts to ringside.

Match Three
Brian White vs. Sery vs. Rhys Cain

The opening drums of “Red Flag” by Billy Talent floods the arena followed by a big pop from the crowd. Sery bursts through the curtain, full of energy and feeding off the crowd as he looks through the arena at the top of the ramp before making his way down.

Michael Carson: Introducing first, from Antigo, Wisconsin, weighing in at 185lbs, 4CW Hall of Famer, SERY!!

Scott Phoenix: Sery is up for a fight by the looks of things and I think that's wise – he's going up against another 4CW Hall of Famer and a man who is almost twice his size.
Ray Jeffrey: You think Sery has to be worried about The Bruiser? You got it all wrong - it's Brian White they BOTH need to look out for. He's not called The Freight Train for nothing!
Jenny Loveless: But of course, you can't count out either Sery nor Rhys Cain. They are both Hall of Famers, after all.
Ray Jeffrey: Uh – yeah, you're completely and utterly right, Jenny. You know, I could listen to you commentate all night!
Scott Phoenix: How is what she said any different to what I said?
Ray Jeffrey: Shut up, Phoenix!

Sery rolls into the ring and awaits his first opponent

The intro to “Narcissistic Cannibal” by Korn plays and when it kicks in, Rhys Cain comes out from the curtain. The crowd reaction is initially a little mixed – but he soon wins them over by egging them on to make more noise.

Michael Carson: And his opponent, currently residing in Tampa, Florida, weighing in at 220lbs, 4CW Hall of Famer, “THE BRUISER” RHYS CAIN!

Ray Jeffrey: These fans are so fickle! Listen to them, cheering The Bruiser – haven't they forgotten he turned his back on all of them two years ago?
Scott Phoenix: Well, I know you're not “with it” when it comes to new technology Ray, but even you've heard of YouTube, right? Cain posted a video stating what he did was all an act, a ruse to get Carstein from the inside out, but the closure of 4CW put a stop to all that!
Ray Jeffrey: Yeah I'm sure that's exactly what it was. I'm sure the closure of 4CW didn't force him to backtrack and claim innocence.

Once Rhys Cain is in the ring, he shakes Sery's hand and waits in the opposite corner

Yashin's cover of “Wherever I May Roam” hits the PA and the atmosphere changes as the crowd start booing.

Michael Carson: And their opponent, from Barry, South Wales, weighing in at 320lbs, BRIAN “THE FREIGHT TRAAAAAIN” WHITE!

The mammoth of a man that is Brian White slowly comes out from behind the curtain and makes his way to the ring, not pandering to the crowd in the slightest

Scott Phoenix: I can think of only one word to aptly describe this man: dangerous.
Ray Jeffrey: Well, at least you got something right, Phoenix. This man is dangerous. 6 foot 8, 320lbs, and a mean streak. He has fought in the streets growing up and will pummel anyone he has to to get what he wants.
Jenny Loveless: What do you both think is the best strategy for Sery and Rhys Cain in this match?
Scott Phoenix: Well, I -
Ray Jeffrey: They are going to need to work together, attack constantly and hope that lady luck is on their side! If they can take down this beast, they can then concentrate on taking out each other. Either way, White is at a huge advantage here!

Brian White climbs into the ring and stares a hole into Sery and then into Rhys Cain. As Brian White's music fades out, and he throws his sleeveless jacket out of the ring, a three-way stare gets us started as the referee rings the bell.

Soul Survivor Qualifying Triple Threat Match
Sery vs Rhys Cain vs Brian White

Sery is the first man to make a move. He runs at White, who takes him out with a quick Big Boot. Rhys Cain jumps on to White directly after, throwing lefts repeatedly at the big man until White eventually pushes Cain away to gain some space and then takes him out with a clothesline. At this point, Sery is back on his feet and makes a second attempt to attack White – but The Freight Train grabs Sery and launches him over the top rope and crashing to the outside!

Phoenix: Just like that, the brute strength of Brian White is on display!
Jeffrey: I'm telling you, he's going to dominate this match!

Brian White picks up Cain moments later and looks to do the same thing; but Cain stops himself going over by using the ropes and stands on the apron. Cain jumps back into the ring and clotheslines  White once; but White barely moves. Cain runs back to the ropes and tries a second clothesline – but again, White simply soaks it up. On the third attempt, White has had enough and matches Cain with a clothesline of his own, which takes down The Bruiser near the corner. White sits Cain up against the turnbuckle and pushes his massive boot into Rhys Cain's face, rubbing it in until the referee has to physically get involved and pull them apart.

Loveless: White certainly looks strong in the early going.

White pulls Cain to his feet and a moment later, crashes his open palm down on Rhys Cain's chest with a big chop! Cain stumbles forward holding his chest; but White pulls him back and chops him again! He then chops Cain three more times in quick succession before finally letting him go. Cain stumbles away, gasping for air and holding his now red-raw chest.

Jeffrey: That chop could stop a heartbeat! Brutal! We're only a minute in and it's already the beginning of the end!

Brian White grabs Cain by his hair and pulls him to his feet; and is stunned when Cain suddenly slaps him across the face! White reacts instantly with a knee to the guy and then lifting Cain and taking him out with a Spinebuster! White wastes no time in hooking the leg.

1...2...

NO! Sery runs in with a steel chair and smashes it across White's back to break the fall!

Jeffrey: Disqualify him, ref! Disqualify that pathetic mosquito!
Phoenix: I know you're a bit rusty on commentary Ray, but there's no DQ in a triple threat match!
Loveless: What a smart way for Sery to think outside the box! He's making up for the missing 130lbs between then with a steel chair!

White, despite the chair shot, staggers back to his feet – and takes another blow to the back with the chair! And another! And a fourth from Sery, who shakes his arms with the adrenaline pumping and the crowd cheering along with him. Finally, Sery waits for White to get to his feet and throws him the chair! White catches it – and Sery takes him out with a dropkick! White goes down and rolls out of the ring!

Jeffrey: Ring awareness at its finest! It may be No DQ but Sery can't pin White if he's outside of the ring!

Sery shouts something inaudible at White on the outside – but is taken by surprise when The Bruiser grabs him from behind and takes him out with a German Suplex!

Phoenix: Sery was focused on White – and turned his back on his opponent in the ring – now Cain is back in control!

Cain grabs Sery and sends him to the ropes. On Sery's return, he lifts him up and takes him out with a Sidewalk Slam! Cain hooks the leg.

1...2...

Sery kicks out! Cain slaps the mat in frustration and gets straight back on the offense; he picks up Sery and grabs him by the head. Cain starts running forward for a Bulldog – but Sery slips out of his grip. Cain turns around – straight into a Superkick! Cain stumbles backwards but uses the ropes to keep himself up on his feet – then lurches forward and snaps Sery with his own Superkick! Both men are down momentarily and the camera pans over to White outside, who is still down, but stirring.

Phoenix: Cain and Sery are going blow for blow right now! But how long will it be before The Freight Train is back in the mix?!

Sery stirs first in the ring and looks down at Cain, who is still recovering. Sery wastes no time, running to the ropes, springboarding off into a moonsault on The Bruiser! He hooks the leg!

1...2...

NO! Cain kicks out! Sery gets back to his feet and jumps on the middle turnbuckle to get the crowd pumped – then he turns and sees White back on his feet on the outside – he runs at the opposing ropes, then dashes forward, diving through the ropes – straight into White on the outside as the crash into the edge of the announce table!

Loveless: I'm taking a step back here, they nearly took us out!
Phoenix: Sery is unpredictable and apparently he has no fear! Did you see that dive?

Back in the ring, still reeling from the Moonsault, Rhys Cain slowly makes his way to his feet, using the ropes for leverage. He sees Sery and White both on the outside and decides to roll out with them, picking up the steel chair on his way. Sery meets Cain first – and gets a crushing jab in the gut with the chair, followed by a blast to the back, which takes him down. Cain turns the corner to take on White – but the behemoth is crouched in position – and when Cain comes into view, he launches himself at The Bruiser – and they both go crashing, steel chair and all, into the barricade!

Jeffrey: The Freight Train just ran STRAIGHT THROUGH The Bruiser! There's no stopping this beast! What an incredible specimen!

With all three men down, the crowd start chanting “This is Awesome!” to will one of them to get back to their feet. It is Brian White who does so first, grabbing The Bruiser and throwing him back into the ring under the bottom rope with ease. White rolls back in himself and picks up Cain, sending him to the ropes. He tries to clothesline his fellow Welshman; but Cain ducks. White turns around immediately – and walks straight into Cain's grip as he takes him out with a Side Effect! Cain crawls over to the cover!

1...2...

NO! White not only kicks out – but launches Cain halfway across the ring with his kick out. He sits up – and he is enraged!

Jeffrey: Now he's pissed!
Loveless: He's like a bull seeing red – I wouldn't want to be Cain right now!

He grabs The Bruiser and knees him a couple of times in the ribs. He sends Cain to the corner and then takes him out with a Stinger Splash! Cain stumbles out of the corner; and White, surprisingly swiftly, has already repositioned to take out Cain with one of his own Sidewalk Slams! White confidently hooks the leg.

Jeffrey: Pure descruction! It's got to be all over!

1...2...

NO! Cain somehow kicks out and White is astounded. His shock soon turns to anger again though and he lifts Cain to a sitting position, before grabbing his face and mumbling something inaudible – and slapping him multiple times across the face! White  then picks up Cain, signalling the time for games is over, and sets him up for a Powerbomb!

As he is about to lift Cain, White sees Sery on the top rope! He pushes Rhys out of the way as Sery jumps towards him – and catches him in mid-air! White throws Sery away with a Fallaway Slam!

Jeffrey: Amazing! He caught that little poodle in mid-air!

White turns to Cain, who is again finding some fighting spirit, throwing lefts and rights to the big man – but White kicks Cain where it hurts with a vicious low blow!

Phoenix: What a disgusting tactic by White!
Jeffrey: How is that any different to Sery throwing the steel chair around? Drop your double standards, idiot!

White lifts up Rhys Cain for the Powerbomb, runs forward and slams him on to the mat, holding him down while the ref counts the pin!

1...2...3!!!

Michael Carson: Here is your winner, BRIAN “THE FREIGHT TRAAAAAAIN” WHITE!!!

Brian White gets to his feet and leans against the ropes. He's tired – but he's done the job!

Winner and Sole Survivor qualifier: Brian White

Jeffrey: That's it! The monster, the beast, the behemoth, whatever you wanna call him, personally, my favourite is THE FREIGHT TRAIN, has qualified for Soul Survivor!! And has gone through TWO Hall of Famers to do it!
Phoenix: I hate to admit it, but you're absolutely right! Nevertheless, 4CW is back! Thank you for joining us, ladies and gentlemen, good night

Thanks everyone for their segs and matches, and a huge thanks to Benjawi for judging thenRPs for me.

Man, one thing I've learned today is that copying and pasting on my iPad is a massive pain in the ass.  Definitely doing this on my laptop next time.  And with the laptop in use next time, it also means colour will be back for the segs!

Woot woot! It's a great first show, especially with the roster constraints and the fact that it was essentially Show #1. Reading Phoenix and Jeffery is like reuniting with old friends 🙂

And the name is Jaco!

... because I can't fucking figure out how to change it...

The Moon Maiden

I really put my heart and soul into my character and roleplay for no entrance and a short non-descript paragraph where my opponent's name isn't even spelled correctly?

I'm really sorry to be a bitch but I put so much into the character, worked on that RP for days, edited it about a hundred times, put it up days early... I've not worked so hard on one writing project in years. I guess I hoped for a little more than "stuff happened". I know it was said the first 2 matches would be short/descriptive but I don't see much description.

The main event is quite long... could no one have spared time to write even a few paragraphs for the other 2? Why even say it went on for 20 minutes if there's absolutely nothing to show for it? Why debut new wrestlers without ever referring to them on commentary at any point, in any context? Why not copy-paste the entrances to add weight to the experience? Etc.

I've had a fucking shit day, not in a great headspace... I just had to express some of this.

Sigh. I guess I got my hopes too high, remembering what it was like back in the day. I felt so elated, completing something that I threw myself into and felt (feel) proud of. I could've just not RPed and saved it for such time as we have a larger writing team. Or is that not in the plans for this iteration of 4CW? I still don't 100% get it.

Jaco - I read your RP. Like the guy, name, moniker, the hotel - but the end... damn, I'm sorry but I mean - he turns on a porn and it's Senecca in it? ... I mean... is this just a name drop? Is there some history? It just left me confused. If it's going back to some past 4CW thing, maybe explain it? Really threw me. I made it a point to give Ravnos and Oki-Kira some face time/description for the uninitiated.

Had to say something and in no mental state tonight to say it well. Sorry 4CW. 🙁

Main event told a good story for sure with the Hall of Famers bit and Sery's feisty nature.  The segments were fun and I wish I had remembered to send one in to introduce my guys on the show...I believe it's kinda pivotal for them to have some backstage fun time considering their gimmick(s).  Oh well....next time it is.

I have to somewhat agree to a point with Pilgrim Paige.  I would've liked the name of the finisher used in my match regardless of who won.  I'm cool with the format of how the matches are written, but I would like a little research done.  If I take the the minute or so to list a few moves my guys do, I expect the same minute of research to be done and added to the blurb of a match.  Not a big deal, just what I was expecting.

As for the other match, I would've said Paige had that by a mile.  Jaco obviously mailed in his RP and that's totally fine...because I honestly kinda did too and Sen was too much of a jackass to not post one even after messing up the due date and having an extra 5 days or so!  hahaha!  I was totally expecting to lose...but, hey, I'll take it.

But, Pilgrim Paige...I think that is a lesson for you too.  Both Jaco and I were kind of testing the waters and weather he 'mailed in his RP' like I say or not...it wasn't his best by any mean.s  He knows that and did that on purpose just to see what happened.  I did the same for the same reasons.  I'm not going to put 100% into something unless I know the rest of my team is doing the same.  And until I see that, I won't be putting in my full potential or giving my full attention.  And it's impossible to know that without a first show being posted...and probably not until a handful of shows are posted and stories start to develop.  This is something your character can come back from.  It's not like she is ruined by any means.

I enjoyed the back-and-forth by the commentators, but I feel Loveless isn't really necessary.  If anything, we should bring back that young kid we used for a while...James Roberts was it??  I can't quite remember.  It was something like that.

Overall, this is a show I'm okay with.  It could've been much better...it could've also been a whole shit ton worse.  One thing's for sure...I KNOW next show will be better!  I'd give it a 5/10 if I had to grade it.

Admin and 4CW Head Booker

I wrote the main event which is why it was longer. Most matches will be wrap-ups unless you or a match writer writes them.

I thought everyone's RPs were good enough and results could have really gone any way.

I thought the show was fine. 6/10 but to be expected since its the first show. Commentary was on point throughout too and very entertaining.

At the end of the day it's one show. If you are unhappy with it it's not the end of the world... And I don't think we should question the judging of the RPs because even if you don't mean to, it comes across as sore loser. Everyone's opinion is different and the RP judge will not always have the same opinion as you.

Main Event

This is is basically the same format we ended with last time, so for me at least, it's familiar. It might be nice though to at least describe one or two of the 'high points' of the matches that are getting the short format treatment, if nothing else to allow those wrestlers a little time to shine. And I do agree, can we use the names of the signature and finisher moves, maybe along side the description? I mean, I obviously recognize the 'Train Crash' as a fall away Powerbomb, but no-one else will unless the term is used.

For a first show, I enjoyed it, and I must admit, I was in shock when I was declared the winner! I was not expecting that at all. S let's keep building this and don't get disheartened by a loss on the first show. Keep developing your story and things'll start falling into place :-)

I'm sorry Fish... My bad... I have no excuse other than starting a new job and it completely skipped my mind. I only remembered the day I knew the show would go up so I put that tweet about forgetting something important and being at Harry potter land... I'll make it up to you with a nice sammich.

Hey, hey, hey! I didn't mail shit in! I don't even own stamps!

But seriously, that was the first thing I've written in probably close to 4-5 years that wasn't a work email though. I did like Paige's... it served good as a first intro RP.

And the name is Jaco!

The Blue Print

I think we should have made a bigger deal with the opening segment. But its nice to see a new person in control. Maybe we could get an explanation on what happened to Hugh Knowles though 😋 Like a "WHERE ARE THEY NOW?" type of thing. I don't think we can add color to the segments though, I don't see a button for it anywhere and I'm on my laptop right now.. Maybe I'm just stupid. Anyways, its great to finally have a 4CW show up again!

Okay so it looks like most people are using different characters than the ones they are known for. So it'll probably take a bit for me to memorize who the poster is behind the character. Pilgrim Paige's is easy to remember though lol! The Striking Viking advances into the tournament. Has anyone ever won the 4CW World Championship with two different characters?

Fish.. I mean Bally Hoo wins his match. Hopefully we will see some more segments from all of the characters so we can get a better grip on what they are like. So the only other segment besides mine on the show was Brian Wight's. I know its our first show back, but its kind of anti climatic to be honest with you. I think we will catch our stride though eventually.

Really liked the main event match. I liked the way Rhys added the steel chair, because compared to the other two guys he was facing he is a shrimp! Congrats to Brian White for winning! I guess its back to the drawing board for me now. I would like for the Main Event to be a full match each week too atleast. Will make it special, for your character to be spotlighted like that.

Overall I think we had a lack of segments.. I didn't expect much though since it is our first show back. But I hope more people send in some segments and stuff. It should get alot more fun once people start to kick off feuds and everything. Put good job Compy, the show was up on time, I liked the commentary, and I hope we see Carstein soon. There are a few kinks to work out. But most people roleplayed, that is a good sign. I think we will do some fun things in the future.

Use of colour is still available, there's just no button for it. Same as centering text, spoilers and font sizes. All are still available to use, just not in the toolbar as they're only really used in 4CW (apart from spoilers obviously as that's used elsewhere as well). They're left out as they're easy to abuse ones.

For colours, it's still just

coloured text

That example would give you a gold colour. Use a site like http://htmlcolorcodes.com/ and it's the hex values that you're interested in. Just bare in mind that the default background on the boards is white, so certain colours won't be readable if selected.

Its just kind of a bitch to color your text, which is important in 4CW, without the button. Especially in a long promo, to manually write out each code would be time consuming. But it is nice to know color is still there if I need to use it.

Mid Card

Woah, I was not expecting so many replies in less than 24 hours!!  This must be one of the most reviewed Stormfronts in a long long time already!

Thanks for the feedback everyone.  All comments and suggestions are appreciated and will be taken on board.  As mentioned already, this is a process.  Nothing's set in stone and with each show, we see what works and what doesn't.  Things might seem like a good idea in theory, but not so much in practice.  Every show is an experiment until we get it just right.

The match summaries are something new.  If I recall rightly, we only just started to do them when 4CW quietened down the last time, so again it's a concept that's not fully tested.  If everyone wants some more depth to them, that's cool.  Or if everyone wants to scrap the summaries and have full matches, then do say!  As long as people are willing to write them 😋.

I will admit that my parts of the show weren't very good, and pulled the show down.  I won't make excuses (dratted house work and job applications!!).  Writing a new character after crusing with Carstein for so long is an interesting experience, but I'm sure we'll get there with the new boss.  I have taken inspiration from GM Regal with Clay, in the sense that he'll only be there when he needs to be.  No 20 minute long Max Clay segs at the start of every show to set up the main event!

Give it a few weeks, and I'm sure things will get back to normal.  We're all trying to find out who our new characters are and get rid of writing rust.  Hang in there guys!  And thanks again everyone for the comments and feedback!

I can write a few matches every once in a while. I haven't written a wrestling match in god knows how long, I'd be rusty. But oddly enough I kind of miss it.

Main Event

Maybe have the card matches as 2 or 3 paragraph summaries, no more, as I remember several people saying they just skipped the full matches as they were a ball ache to read. But keep the main event as a full match and then the PPV matches would be full. A it s, I do feel now that those first matches are more of a throwaway thing and not to be cared about. Let's find some middle ground between these two extremes :-)
