Wade Barrett is leaving WWE soon, according to Ryan Satin over at ProWrestlingSheet.com.
Barrett recently "gave notice" to WWE and told them he won't be signing a new deal when his current contract expires around June.
As for why he's leaving - it's believed that he's simply not satisfied with his standing in the company and he's not enjoying himself anymore .
No word on what's next for him, but he's appeared in a few WWE Studios films so acting is certainly a possibility.

Shame as I like him. Was disappointed what they did with Nexus - they literally fed the whole group to Cena in what was quite simply some of the worst booking I've seen. Nexus were over, Cena was mixed... and so they destroy one group with excellent potential and at the same time make fans turn even more on Cena though booking him to beat the whole group at once. Was madness.

Injuries haven't helped him, but he's good when given the chance and is very good on the mic.

Not going to miss him. They really messed everything with him up back with Nexus, never seemed to be able to recover. Plus the dude always gets injured, so when ever he gets momentum, he would go down for a few months with injury. I hope TNA doesn't pick him up, never was a fan.
