Brie Bella retiring soon

I'll miss Nikki simply because shes hot.. But wrestling wise I won't miss them.. I always thought it was weird that Nikki got a boob job and Brie didn't. Then they look awkward together now lol.

Well, fair play that they've made this decision I suppose... Good luck in their future ventured, so long as I don't have to watch em! :-P

Brie was really entertaining during her feud with Steph - but the way that all ended stunted any heat she was building up. She's never been the same since.

Everyone knows she really wants kids though, that's obviously why she's retiring so good on her.

The Bellas - or, at least, Nikki (I've seen scant little of Brie) - seem to have improved a lot in the ring the handful of times I've seen them in the past year. Yes, I'm very out of the loop. When they debuted I couldn't stand them. The sister-switching thing got old fast - did they keep doing that a lot beyond 2010 or so?

It is a little odd, huh? It's funny to me that it's Nikki who did it too, simply because I've always hated the more-or-less-obligatory WWE boob-job and Brie is the one I always found more attractive. (It's in the facial expressions and eyes.) Same deal for Tegan and Sara.

Oh, and that tattoo Brie has...  😊

Well, as I touched on before, they're still individuals, each their own person - mind, I don't know them, but the other things - Brie's facial expressions and body language speak more to me than Nikki's. No matter how close they might be, they're grown women living their own separate lives. So, their body language and facial expressions are shaped by their different paths in life. Something about Brie just strikes me as more... striking, that's all. her smile seems warmer, eyes kinder - she seems more approachable somehow? I dunno if I'd noticed this kind of thing in the past, maybe the hormones bring out certain emotional subtleties/empathetic ties in me. Or maybe it's all in my head! I'm no psychologist.

She's 32 which is past her prime as far as WWE is concerned. Most their best women's wrestlers either retired or were released at around that age, eg. Trish Stratus, Molly Holly, Lita, Melina, Michelle McCool and Torrie Wilson. Stacy Keibler and Kelly Kelly both retired from wrestling at only 27 and 25.

A bit of research shows me that the only divas to wrestle WWE past age 36 are Victoria (<3) and Sable who both left WWE when they were 37, Jacqueline who won the Cruiserweight Title at age 40, and Ivory, whose last PPV match was in 2003 when she was 42. Except of course for Mae Young and Moolah who both wrestled at 80+, and, I don't know if you could call it wrestling, but Vickie Guerrero's last sanctioned match was at age 45.

Sort of a shame that women can't aspire to make a lifelong career in wrestling, as in WWE's eyes they hit their peak so young - IMO generally at around 25-27. The dudes generally peak in their late 30s, with the occasional megastar like Hogan, Sting, Flair or Taker still main eventing pay-per-views at age 50 or above.

Also I hadn't realised how old Ivory was until I researched this. Turns out she wasn't even hired by WWE until she was 38. Check out these photos from 2002-3, she was smoking hot for being 40+!
