Bill DeMott via Twitter:I deny the recent allegations made about me, however, to avoid any embarrassment or damage to the WWE, I’ve decided to step down from my role effective immediately.

Said allegations include continuous homophobic slurs at talent, slapping wrestlers with head injuries, general abuse and harrasment to talent and apparently one guy felt like his life was on the line in DeMott's office after Bill was told he'd made a complaint about him. Apparently,  he keeps a gun in his desk drawer.

To me, resigning = admission of guilt.

Like he had a choice in resignng. They shit-canned him like they should have done years ago. I counted 10 former developmental guys have come out and complained about his training methods. WWE let these things build and build until it becomes a corporate catastrophe and gets negative press. It was trending on Twitter #FireBillDemott." I read they conducted an investigation into his methods and found nothing wrong.  As he was calling a middle eastern guy Aladdin, smacking someone else with a yardstick and running the ropes whilst a trainee holds their lips up against the ropes. Oh, and as a naked Luke Gallows sticks his arse in Zack Ryders face to get out of training for the day.

Joey Ryan was saying on Twitter that when he went for a tryout, Demott told him no-one on the indies was as good as the guys in NXT. Where did he think NXT got their best wrestlers from?!

It didn't help when corporate WWE kiss arse, host of the shittest wrestling podcast going, weird tit man, mock rock star & part time Jon Bon Jovi lookalike Chris Jericho put on Twitter

“Hey @BillDeMott is a good friend & great trainer. If u can’t handle it then quit. My training at #HartBrothers camp was 10,000 times worse!” - He has since deleted it because it went down like a shit sandwich.

EC3 then responded "I love/sacrificed for pro wrestling. A Hart can stretch me any day. A know nothing dipshit slapping me when I'm concussed is different."

I still don't understand how this guy wormed his way back in to NXT. He got released when he fucked Deep South Wrestling up and they closed the whole developmental system 3 months later. He was on Tough Enough and somehow ends up being head trainer at NXT.

While many of the recent stories that came out about Bill DeMott stem from 2013, some apparently date all the way back to his initial run as coach in developmental, which ended back in 2007.

Issues with DeMott were said to be well known internally, which is why WWE had cameras installed in the Performance Center and is also why practices are filmed. WWE wanted proof in case any lawsuits came up as part of the DeMott controversy, which as noted, they fully expect after so many came out publicly against him in recent weeks.

The issues were so well known, in fact, that many within the company were said to be surprised that DeMott still had a job in WWE.

Additionally, there's said to be a feeling that some of the stories about DeMott in recent weeks were exaggerated by the people who were telling them.

Not a surprise that some have been exaggerated, but it's a surprise that he kept his job for so long. Numerous complaints for years, so much so that they started filming things to incase of a lawsuit? Why not just sack him? Cheaper than a lawsuit, or many lawsuits.
