The Blue Print

Something I've been thinking about lately is how this site has made me smarter. From all the reading I've done here and writing I think it has made my writing better and punctuation better. Also from all the MSN group convos and typing all the time I think it helped me with my spelling and the use of different words.

Sometimes I think that I am more knowledgeable on alot of things than my friends. Due to all the Brits I've come across in my time on this site I have learned alot of stuff about their culture. Also when I tell everyone about how color is supposed to be colour they are flabbergasted. Stuff like that. I remember [chux] telling one time that it shouldn't be said "I could care less" that is should actually be said "Couldn't care less."  I've learned alot on this website and everything surrounding it. Would anyone else agree this website has helped with your smarts?

Admin and 4CW Head Booker

Probably. I've been posting here since I was 17. I'm 24 in June. I basically grew up here. Lot of good memories and lots of knowledge definitely.

For me no not exactly, i was already a young adult when i joined in 04, i was 21 years old.... i'd be a liar if i said i didn't learn anything as i did....as far as making me smarter goes? i don't know... i think it's more living and learning.... right now i feel i can still be smarter and learn until i'm old and die.

4CW's helped me to improve my writing, and writing matches has made me appreciate wrestling more.  It's taught me about ring psychology, choosing spots that help tell and further the story being told in the ring, and how to actually tell a story.  So now watching wrestling is a much richer experience.

I was a good Christian boy until I started reading religious discussions/arguments on here in 2004-2005. I went to Catholic schools my whole life and was always fed the whole, "what we teach you is the unquestionable truth, and anyone who disagrees is a heretic." Reading actual logical discussions between intelligent people on 4w in 2004-2005 really got me thinking and legit changed my religious views. Please don't tell my mum though, I still go to church with her 2-3 times a year and I refuse to discuss religion with her because I know the truth would break her heart. Wife knows tho.

4w totally made me smarter yo. Spending some of my free time reading and writing meant that using correct spelling and grammar became a recreational thing. I know tonnes of people my age and older who can't write using correct English and I know how much more employable that makes me. Just last week, I saw a co-worker spell whiteboard as "wightbord." Srsly.

Sorry I'm late to chime in on this topic, I haven't thought about 4w in a few months lol

Jek

4w definitely made me smarter no quesiton about it. I been posting since I was 12 and i'm 22 now so it's been over 10 years, and trust me growing up I learnt a fuck load more than guys I went to school with to an extent that I had to dumb down a lot of things I was saying. I was a kid in regular conversations with adult so I was more mature in some sense and way more immature in others too.
