WWE recently applied for a trademark for the term "Bragging Rights." Fans of WWE may remember that the company held a pay-per-view event called "WWE Bragging Rights" in 2009 and 2010, which some consider a possible sign that they are bringing back the pay-per-view name.

Please don't. Absolutely hated these PPV's. Plus what do they have to brag about now anyway? The brand split is over, so they'd just brag about winning a match that they could have on any other PPV, like they can't brag on other ones? Apart from that, who gives a shit whether someone has bragging rights or not. Shit PPV, shit concept, and absolute shit if they bring it back.

So here's hoping that this is news about nothing at all.

They always put SmackDown over, which was nice. Maybe they'll use it to put NXT over this time. Or not.

It never really made much sense to me to have this show so close to Survivor Series. If they wanted to do a Raw v SmackDown match for a trophy, why not just do it there?

I think the event that was is dumb and still think that everytime i'm on the network and scroll through ppv's and see that one.. the poster looks dumb too... looks more like a video game poster.

maybe if they tried something with NXT.... like chux said

I also agree with it being so close to Survivor Series they should just make it a theme for the series then... i'd like to see more then just one traditional survivor series match... doesn't need to be the whole show but 2 or 3 would be nice.

Like chux and Snake said, Bragging Rights was fine as a Raw vs. Smackdown traditional Survivor Series match. Goodness knows why it needed a separate PPV the month before SS.

I don't mind the name itself too much. It's like Bragging Rights: In Your House. A lot of them had corny titles too!!

Yeah that one is really bad too.... i really don't know what was wrong with names like No Mercy, Armageddon, Backlash, or No Way Out....those aren't all that great either but fast lane sounds like a song name.... it hardly even sounds like a b-movie... that's so lame.
