It would be a great time to do something with the IC and US titles. Pretty sure that's never going to happen though.
I'm fine with not having a champion around for a while. Back in the day you'd be lucky if the world champion came to your territory once a year. It's a different era, but whatever. Everything in wrestling is massively overexposed these days anyway, maybe this will make something feel special for a change.
I doubt it'll mean much to WWE either, now that PPV is dead. It may not get them any new network subscriptions, but they weren't going to get many until January anyway. I like it!

I think its bull - there's no way he'll be out that long.

Thanks Taker_2004 for the banner!
Isn't it about time that all those wrestle mania buys for the network are running out? W/o the champ on tv or PPV, i think there will be a major drop off in re-subscriptions.
There already has been, even before the six month mark. PPVs have already been shown to not be worth the money. I think making the champion's appearances feel as special as possible may be the better strategy for now. They're going to drop subs from now until January whatever they do.

SYFY says that 12 monkeys is going to debut Fridays at 9 (when the second hour of smack down is supposed to start). Could SYFY being just cutting n running with Smackdown – like Spike is doing with TNA? Could Smackdown soon be a WWE-network exclusive?
With PPV being basically just 'extra Raws' that aren't even must-see tv – could a network exclusive Smackdown be in the cards?
And Lesnar not being on tv til january – they stripped DBry of the belt after one month – how could they think we'd forget that? and now Lesnar isn't gonna be on tv for 4 months?

Nope. Raw and SmackDown are basically advertising for the network. If they move those to the network, what platform would they have to attract people to subscribe? The SyFy thing is likely either a mistake or they may finally be going ahead with the switch back to Thursdays.

Bit of a grey area here, but I think the explanation is that Bryan physically couldn't compete for an unknown length of time. He's still out now. Lesnar can compete, we just don't know (kayfabe, brother) when he will.

Apparently Lesnar isn't returning to television until January. Is that too long to wait for the champion? We're not going to have a WWE Title match for 3 PPV's in a row. This is where having the 2 belts came in handy, at least then there'd be one big title to fight over.
