If Aries ends up with WWE them I'll be happy. Brilliant wrestler, and anytime I've seen TNA live over here, he's been the standout performer by far.
NXT seems to be the place to be. It's great that NXT actually does acknowledge the indies and gives big name wrestlers such as James Storm and Samoa Joe their due :-)

Watched a bit of this weeks NXT and former TNA X Division wrestler Jesse Sorenson was on the show. He was the guy who got paralysed and his mum went bankrupt paying his medical bills. TNA said he had a job for life and then released him because he kept wanting to wrestle.
Anyway, he was against Apollo Crews and looked pretty good. The crazy thing was Sorenson taking Crew's finisher. Crew's had him in a backbody drop position, then threw him up in the air and spun him around. He caught Sorenson and then dropped into a sitout powerbomb. Very impressive but doing it on a guy with spine issues was a bit high risk for WWE standards.

This is like the fourth or fifth time Sorenson has been there. It's kind of funny, but some people started singing Orton's old theme song when he came out.
It's not unusual to see TNA people at NXT, especially because so many wrestlers live in the area. If they would show the entire audience you would see some bigish names there. SoCal Val is usually there so is Havok, Su Yung, Mary Dobson, Mis Yim, Zybysko, and others. Mostly it's just to hangout and watch the shows or catch up with people. It's funny every time someone sees someone there's a million internet reports about those people debuting.
James Storm had a match against Adam Rose this week on NXT. Storm looked in better shape than his debut, hit the Last Call for the win.

Former ROH and TNA champion Austin Aries will be in Pittsburgh this week and will undergo WWE's medical screening process while he's there, according to PWInsider.com.
Aries first met with WWE officials backstage at an NXT taping in Florida several months ago. This is the first time since then that there has been talk of Aries possibly joining the company. PWInsider reports that while nothing is signed yet, the two sides are in talks.
Austin Aries' TNA contract expired on June 28, 2015. He remained on TNA TV until the fall due to how far in advance Impact was taped.
Looks like he could be on the way. Now this is a WWE deal that I could get excited about. Fantastic wrestler - one of the best that I've seen live.
Austin Aries, James Storm & Gunner are all backstage for tonight's NXT taping.
Here's Storm's debut match in NXT from last month.
