It is brilliant. DiCaprio is awesome, yet another performance worthy of an Oscar but whether he'll actually get it is another thing. Credit where it's due, great performances from Hardy, Gleeson and Poulter too.

It was a very good film. My girlfriend thought that it was slow going, but I enjoyed it. The fight between DiCaprio and Hardy at the end was brutal but well done. A very well made film.
Loved the end fight. Gritty and realistic.

That bit when Leo sealed his neck wound with lit gunpowder.

The film was as great as I expected it would be.

"Inspired by true events, The Revenant captures one man's epic adventure of survival and the extraordinary power of the human spirit. In an expedition of the uncharted American wilderness, legendary explorer Hugh Glass (Leonardo DiCaprio) is brutally attacked by a bear and left for dead by members of his own hunting team. In a quest to survive, Glass endures unimaginable grief as well as the betrayal of his confidant John Fitzgerald (Tom Hardy). Guided by sheer will and the love of his family, Glass must navigate a vicious winter in a relentless pursuit to live and find redemption."

This film is coming out at the start of next year and looks brilliant. It has all of the hallmarks to be a classic film. Alejandro González Iñárritu who won the Oscar for Birdman this year, directs, produces, wrote it. Then you've got Leonardo DiCaprio & Tom Hardy as the two main stars. There is also no CGI in it, everything is filmed in real-time on multiple cameras. Filming took place over 3 months because only a few hours a day could be used to shoot so they had maximum realism using natural light.
